This please is SOGOOD. We went in really close to closing time and we felt no pressure to get out. They were so nice and one of us(me) was dressed in workout clothing. Regardless, they didn’t mind and provided great service. I took a fish plate that was in season and my friends got the mac and cheese and a veggie option. Needless to say every plate was absolutely perfect. The mac and cheese is unbelievable, diet or not, you cannot resist it. I will absolutely be back with more friends!

I guess this place is suppose to be amazing? I don’t know about that. FIRST I just wanted a cheeseburger, that thing was **hella cooked.** Like to the point of crumble, it literally fell apart as I ate it. There was no saving it. French fries were normal… cannot mess this up. I couldn’t believe this place failed at a cheeseburger. SECOND Vegetable Primavera. Yikes. The sauce had a consistency of water. I don’t know, probably from the pasta? Just a guess. Also, my boyfriend wanted added protein so he asked about shrimp. They said TWODOLLARSPERSHRIMP. Two. Dollars. Per. Shrimp. Sink your teeth into that. THIRD There was none because dinner was awful. No dessert, no appetizer. Side note, We each did have one mixed cocktail. Save it for another place, it wasn’t mixed well at all. Unfortunately, I’m very disappointed. One because this BEAUTIFUL shrimp pasta that everyone has pictures of on Unilocal does not exist there anymore(probably because… each shrimp is $ 2?) and the food left much to be desired. TL;DR Had a crumbled overcooked cheeseburger, with that fail would not recommend this place.

We have been frequenting HUB over the last few months and have really enjoyed it. The Glory Curds are our favorite thing. BUT… I’ve been disappointed from time to time… one visit, I ordered a pot pie and didn’t find out until about 20 minutes later that they were out of pie shells. And this last time, the Shrimp and Grits were a complete let down. The grits were dry, doughy and flavorless. Anyone who loves grits would be disappointed in this blasphemy of a classic southern favorite. The peas were starchy and overcooked. I LOVE fresh peas. And I even asked the server if the peas were fresh or canned/frozen. He assured me they were fresh, but cooked that morning as prep. Which I thought was odd. Peas don’t take long to cook and cooking them twice seemed like such a disservice to a beautiful ingredient. That same visit, my husband’s steak was completely flavorless, lacking any seasoning whatsoever. We’re forgiving enough that we’re willing to give it another shot. If we suffer another disappointing meal, we may have to break up, Hub. Don’t let me down!

The HUB was a really cool place to eat! It’s definitely a fun place to go on a Friday night and had such a cool vibe about it. Very modern. Mostly college students were around(concidering its close to the UofA thats not surprising). This would make a nice date night. Right across the street was their HUB ice cream stop which was also delicious! I recommend their Banana Nutella Ice Cream.(And also their bathrooms are awesome.) Not only were the bathrooms clean but the whole restaurant itself was very clean! I will most definitely be going there again.

I love love love the Hub! The food is delicious, and the prices are fair. The service is really good as well, AND they got the best ice cream in Tucson! Whenever I have friends visit from out of town I try to bring them here. Granted, there are so many places to try downtown so it’s hard to pick a favorite, but this place is definitely up there. I only have two complaints: one, they won’t seat you until your entire party is there. Two, if you order the lobster mac n’ cheese you’ll pay twice the amount of money for literally only 4 pieces of lobster. Not sure if that’s a fair price, but it was a little bit of a bummer.

I haven’t tasted my food yet but I’ve been waiting for it for well over an hour. My waitress said they had just served a group of 20 and that my food was coming but that was 20 more minutes ago. I understand sometimes a place is busy but two tables next to us that were here after we got here have eaten and paid and I’m still waiting…

The food in this place was amazing, and the atmosphere was pretty cool also. I will definitely be back. Just one quick tip to the hostest and servers. If you are going to say that you have a table open but it’s reserved in an hour and 15 min, so we would have to be done by then. I would recommend trying to get them drinks and food as quickly as possible. All in all though, I will be back, it was a good experience.

In town for U of A graduation and came here with a group of 12 to celebrate. We were not disappointed. The service was excellent, never had to ask for anything. Food was great with items I had never seen before. Shared the Cheese Curd appatizer which was light and very tasty. Ordered the Lobster Pot Pie which I would never have ordered but was recommended by our waitress. It was super tasty. If you live in the area, don’t pass up this place.

We had the cheese curds in the prime fries. They were amazing. I love the special sauce that they made for the cheese curds which was kind of a ketchup and Siracha plan. We also ordered the lobster mac & cheese but were so full we couldn’t finish it. So we have a great dinner for tonight.

This place is definitely a diamond in the rough. There are starting to be many more options to choose from in up and coming downtown Tucson, but this place is definitely a place to stop and grab some great food! The service is fantastic and the menu is littered with items to feast on. Great trendy décor and dos I mention the food is to die for?! LOL! Take my word for it: give this place a shot. You won’t be disappointed…

Great atmosphere, friendly and attentive service, delicious mahi mahi fish and risotto with fresh veggies. To top off a great meal was their homemade ice-cream! We went on a Tuesday night and could not believe how trendy and busy this place was. See if you can call ahead and make reservations. I would definitely return and will visit this place again next time I am in town.

Very unique Resturant! Came here when I came to visit my younger brother at school. The pastrami and corn beef sandwiches, and the prime fries are excellent! The area is pretty cool and pretty at night time.

Jam packed when we arrived at 7 on a Saturday, the wait was up to 40 min but it felt like 20 so that was nice. Ordered the cheese curd app, as always it was deliciously crunch and gooey plus the Siracha ketchup is BOMB! That being said I ate this by myself, definitely not ideal as I was quite full after doing so. I ordered the half Caesar with chicken and was stuffed… I always say I’ll make better decisions Anywho my friend ordered the wings and said they were superb. Because of this she also was stuffed so she ended up taking most of her Pork Chop entrée home but what she had of it she said was tasty. Only reason it’s not a five star is for the ridiculous prices; $ 12 for a salad no matter where you go is unreasonable and that’s without meat

4 star food today with 1 ½ star service! Been awhile since I have eaten here. We were not looking for one of the set Valentine menus that were at many of the restaurants today so we ended up here. I have not eaten here in awhile because the menu was«stale». Needed some change. The food was becoming«OK» only. Well. Worse than ok. Simply broken down and flavorless… it was heart breaking. It turned out to be just an ice cream stop. So I just started going across the street and enjoyed the ice cream only. Reduced the pain of eating boring uninspired food. So…loved it today! Had the shrimp and grits with caramelized onions tomato broth etc etc. so good! My friend had the vegetable risotto. Very good. Took almost an hour to get the food and the service was terrible. Ok… terrible might be understating how bad it was. However it was great to see the food was good again! Yay!

Had a Valentine’s lunch here with my cousin Getting a table mid-day was actually very easy as we strolled in and were seated instantly… Our server was extremely nice and gave us some water with lemon as we looked over the menu… I had seen positive things about the Mac N Cheese and I was tempted to get them but I went with the Turkey BLT sandwich… It was delicious… The turkey was nice and fresh and the bacon was crisp. What I like most about the sandwich, was the Texas toast that it came on. Yum! The fries were pretty standard and I surprised myself by eating each and every one of them… I also had a Bloody Mary with Tito vodka and it was really, really good. My cousin had the HUB burger with fries and she said that it was good. Her mimosa and Sonoran sling were yummy. I tried some of the Sonoran sling and it was divine. The only one note I must mention was that our food took about 45 minutes to come out, which was fine as we were talking away for days… But the table next to us was seated far after us and they got their food immediately… Didn’t add up! I can’t wait to go back to try the ice cream…

Been here twice and haven’t been disappointed. I had the NY strip and it was cooked to perfection. The second time I had the salmon and it was full of flavor! Another thing that was cool about my two experiences is I went with large groups and had the opportunity to try several of their appetizers. The prime fries were on point, just like the majority of people say. The wings were pretty damn good. I just think they were a little over priced. They have the Tucson staple — tater tots, you know you can’t go wrong with those. My only feedback, both times I ordered a side of shrimp with my meal and they were overcooked. Heads up, they will not sit you until your entire party is there. The place is relatively small, considering how much business they do. So you are in close quarter with other customers. Other than that the place is solid and I would definitely recommend trying it and I think it is one of those restaurants you want to experience for yourself, just cause you are in Tucson.

Honestly I have mainly gone in here for Ice Cream. On the weekends, it is super packed at night. You will have a hard time finding a seat. I need to go in earlier to get a seat and try eating from the menu. It is upscale atmospere. Staff is friendly even though they are pressed to the Max. Now you can go across the street for ice cream alone.

Not sure why I’m not 100% sold on this place, I guess I just have other favorites in town that I would prefer to go to instead of the HUB. Nonetheless the HUB is still a solid choice for any hungry diner in search of some good food. Sometimes theres a wait so if you are smart make sure to have some reservations before heading out there to get some HUB.

I can honestly say that The Hub was perhaps the best burger joint in all of Arizona and is among my top favorite place to get an amazing burger. The place is really cool looking. The food and service was top notch. It’s pretty assuring when you get your food in no less than 15 minutes. Will definitely be coming back here.

I know there are plenty of reviews on Unilocal for this place. So mine will be short. I have no complaints about this place, food was great, service was great, a bit dark for my inside, but good atmosphere. If you are going out to eat at a mid-tier location in Tucson, this is a place to check out.

Being a third generation Tucsonan, one of the big ongoing issues has always been the regentrification of the historic downtown. Besides being an absolutely awesome restaurant, the ability to bring people downtown with amazing and high quality food is why I’m especially excited about HUB Restaurant & Ice Creamery’s success. Hub is located on historic Congress Street in downtown Tucson, right in the middle of the heart of the fastest growing and most exciting area. There is now plenty of downtown parking & the Sun Link Streetcar route is right outside. (see pics) The décor inside Hub is super hype. The cutest thing are all the upside down lamps from the high industrial type ceilings.(see pics) And the food is delicious! The menu has a lot of standard comfort foods with a modern edge. For example, they offer Mac n Cheese but you can get it with bacon, chicken or lobster. The menu includes: Appetizers: Calamari(I’ve had many times — see pics) Ahi Poke Chef’s Board Hub Wings Prime Fries Hummus Glory Curds Soups/Salads/Burgers/Sandwiches Entrées: Chicken Pot Pie(super yum) Risotto Enchiladas Shrimp & Grits Capellini Fish & Chips New York Salmon HUB Chop Daily Fish Desserts: Homemade Ice Cream Drinks:(see pics for drinks menu) My favorite is the Summerhaven Ice, which is vodka, sorbet and mixed juice. So yum!(see pics) Hours: 11am — Midnight Daily More Info: I 5⁄5 highly recommend Hub!

Not really sure why people love this place so much. The flavors are okay — not very flavorful. I got the vegan chocolate and the turtle brittle. The vegan chocolate was okay — I have had much better elsewhere. The turtle brittle just taste like vanilla and I did not get much caramel or brittle in my serving. My mom got an ice cream sandwich. The cookies of an ice cream sandwich are supposed to be soft so that you can eat it as a sandwich. Their cookies were so hard and impossible to eat with the ice cream. Would not recommend.

Saw the reviews and checked this place while in town for work. A fair warning for people visiting the area, parking is tough to find. Got seated by the window and ordered the cheese curds as an appetizer. They were really really good. Huge portion and just the perfect amount of breading. I was pretty stuffed by this so only got a few bites of the chicken sandwich in and it was just okay. Liked the ambiance and the service was really friendly. Would return.

It was okay, but I wouldn’t go back unless I was just getting ice cream. The service was superb; Bryce was perfectly attentive and did an excellent job. The food was okay. The hubs got the New York strip and I had the meatballs; nothing horrible, nothing fabulous. He ordered the steak medium rare but got medium. Oh well. I wanted a glass of wine and Bryce checked with the bartender for a rec, which was spot on(Acrobat Pinot Noir.) I chose the Drunken Brunch ice cream while the mister got Mayan Brownie. Soooo good! The atmosphere was fine. Not too loud, and in a great building. Too bad the food wasn’t more impressive.

Excellent food, but a little pricey for my wallet. Menu changed a little bit ago and some of my favs were removed. The atmosphere is upscale and busy, plenty of room for friends and coworkers. A good night spot. The ice cream is the bomb and they have opened a dedicated ice cream place across the street. Overall a good place to visit with good service and check out. Some limited outdoor seating.

Met some friends for brunch here, picked this place initially because they took reservations. SO glad we checked out HUB as it was a great experience. The vibe of the restaurant was cool, loved the whole look of the inside with booths against the wall, super high open ceilings, and outdoor seating(dog friendly people!). Service was fantastic. Very attentive, came around at all the right times and kept the water glasses full which is a pet peeve of mind when they don’t. Food and drink was great as well. We tried their Bloody Mary with the green chile vodka. It was delicious! Plus it was like a little appetizer with the pickle, olive, bacon, cilantro garnish. I tried the eggs benedict which is served over a waffle. It was very good, although the quiche of the day ordered by my friend, and tried by me was outstanding. Definitely will return.

HUB gets 3 stars because after a long day of studying, their lobster mac & cheese and prime fries were the perfect remedy to my dazed, starved, and brain dead state. They definitely serve up comfort/eat-your-feelings kinda food in that the first few bites were HEAVENLY, but as I continued to eat the food slowly became too heavy and salty.(To be fair, both of our dishes were essentially salt, carbs, and a crapload of cheese.) I could not justify spending $ 13 on cheese fries and $ 16 on lobster mac & cheese for myself, but split among 3 of us it made for a suitable and filling $ 10 dinner.(I’ve also tried the ice cream at the satellite shop and thought it was just okay, nothing amazing, but people have told me it’s somehow better in the restaurant itself.)

Oh Em Gee, you have to try the hummus! Seriously. Try it! It’s seriously soooo good and the pita bread they serve with it is out of this world. The veggies they serve with it are also really good. They were crisp, fresh, and plentiful. Definitely give their gelato a try. I had the vegan chocolate which was decadent and delicious. The service was superb and their patio is nice.

This is such a beautiful restaurant, and a favorite of mine. Finding parking around this area is a pain. There’s a parking garage across the street behind Sparkroot that doesn’t charge too much. We started out with the Chef’s Board and it was absolutely amazing. I do wish it came with more bread though, or that they would bring more out. It included cured meats and select cheese, spiced pistachio butter, caper berry, lemon-basil marmalade, whole grain mustard, and grilled ciabatta. $ 16 I got the Fish & Chips with tempura battered Alaskan cod, house-made tartar sauce, coleslaw, fries. The fish was cooked to perfection, but I did have to ask for malt vinegar and wait for that to come out. $ 15 My boyfriend got the HUB Burger with Swiss, pastrami, and coleslaw. He really enjoyed his burger and it looked yummy! $ 14 We got a small Mint Chocolate ice cream to share. Our server was very nice and attentive as well.

Everything about this place was awesome. We were seated in the bar section, which at most restaurants means you will be ignored and your food will be cold when it finally arrives. Our server(the bartender) was fabulous, she was really friendly and quick. Our food came our fast, my wife had the pastrami sandwich with fries, I had the prime rib dip sandwich. My sandwich was packed with juicy meat and melted, still warm cheese(hold the onions, cause ew), the hoagie bread was soft and fresh. It was incredibly filling. The seasoning on the fries was perfect, more than just salt, but now over powering. My wife’s pastrami sandwich came on Texas toast(she hates rye), it was bursting with meat and melted swiss. The sandwich was so big she’s taking half home for lunch tomorrow, along with half my fries that I was too full to finish. She loves pastrami, and this was juicy and flavourful. Having heard raves about ginger beer, I ordered this with my food. How will I ever drink standard ginger ale ever again? The fresh ginger and balance of sweetness will ruin you for Canada Dry. I took an extra home with me. Despite being stuffed, we couldn’t pass up small single scoops of ice cream. My vanilla lavender was divine, sweet and thick, I loved they didn’t add purple coloring to the ice cream like so many places do. The lavender was subtle and brought out the vanilla bean flavour. My wife’s smores ice cream was fluffy with marshmallow fluff, with tasty bits of graham cracker and chocolate. I’m not usually a fan of Tucson, but today’s trip redeemed the city for me!

I dont understand the hype? Her was my experience… Positive: They have very friendly staff, the food was very tasty. The ice cream is good but I will just go to their creamery from now on Changes: PRICES! The prices are ridculous to the amount of food you get. Better wait area. Make the people stand somewhere else because it is so crowded and loud! Over all I guess it would be a great place for lunch if their was not so many people.

An Ice cream only review! SOMANYFLAVORS and unfortunately the ones in the freezer were not labeled so you’ve got to look on the menu on the wall mirror for the size small you can choose two flavors! —Bourbon almond brittle: so good and i usually don’t like alcoholic ice creams, but i think the alcohol in it made it too melty —Chocolate peanut butter: rich with a more frozen, firm texture —Oatmeal cookie: just okay yup the ice cream shop is in the front, no need to sit down to order

So… their cheese curds + calamari= yummy! My husband really liked his Shrimp and Grits so that’s what we’d recommend to you ;) My husband’s coworker recommended this place to him so that’s how we ended up here for our anniversary dinner. We were greeted/seated right away and given glasses of water immediately. Then… we waited… waited…waited for our server. A server looked like he was coming up to our table but detoured and made his way out the front entrance for some fresh air. I kept glancing at the hostess who glanced back and smiled. At one point, we thought we were supposed to go up to a counter or possibly the hostess to place our order but saw a couple across from us place their order with their server. After 20 minutes, I let the hostess know that we’ve been waiting for a long while and have yet to meet our server. She apologized and found our sever for us. Who was he? Yup, the guy that walked right past our table. He was kind and attentive though! Unfortunately, this experience was enough to deter us from returning.

Classy but fun atmosphere in downtown Tucson that strays from cliches. We sit in a bar side booth with cocktail table and are greeted and served timely. I opt for the margarita(forgot the name) — and enjoy a retreat from the bustling street. Second Saturdays was going on nearby which created somewhat of a ruckus in this area. We are pub crawling so we share the lobster Mac & cheese which is basically an al dente orichiette past with cheese sauce and 3 chunks of lobster on top. Would have loved to see lobster in the béchamel though I appreciated the fresh simple preparation.

I have enjoyed my experiences at the HUB — the food is consistently fresh and tasty. The salads are always overflowing with«the good stuff» and are not overpriced. Service tends to be a little on the slow side on the patio, but it is always extremely busy whenever I’ve gone so I do not dock them a point for that. I’ve had some of their crazy fry combinations. Delicious! One of the things they do well is making sure the base(ie fries) are nice and crisp. They hold up well under all the toppings piled on top. My particular favorite is the one that has blue cheese and hot sauce. Tangy and spicy mixed with fries… how could you go wrong? I have yet to try the homemade ice cream-usually I’m too full from my meal to indulge in dessert.

Hamburguesa vegetariana mas que decente y patatas fritas buenas. Me gustó comer en la barra y la atención y amabilidad de los camareros. Local bastante frecuentado, en fin de semana puede estar lleno.
