Ceviche is like a shake. Low quality shrimp. Paste like shrimp combined with finely minced veggies make this shake like consistency. I won’t return nor will I have craving for this restaurant.

I come here for their ceviche…(medium) size, perfect for those days where you feel a little fat but still want to eat out. Ton’s of shrimps marinated in lime and tomato juice =) My mouth literally watered just thinking about it

Mariscos Chihuahua is one of the reasons why I miss Arizona. If you live in Tucson, AZ and you haven’t tried the ceviche or the camarones culichi(I hope that’s spelled right) you’re missing out on some of the best seafood Tucson has to offer. It’s by far the best Mexican seafood restaurant in Tucson. The food is always fresh and the service is on point. The menu has something for everyone. I personally love the ceviche, it’s nothing like the ceviche in Miami(and that’s a good thing). When I don’t get the ceviche I get the camarones empanizados(breaded shrimp), which is really good, and their portions are huge! There’s no way you’ll leave hungry.

We stopped in one Saturday while visiting Tucson for the afternoon. We had a list of restaurants our foodie friend gave us to try but after reading Unilocal reviews, we decided to give Mariscos a try. We were not disappointed! Our favorite? Fish Tacos. It was so good that we ordered them to-go so we could have them for dinner when we got home. I’m already looking forward to our next visit to Tucson! Yum!

They have a chain of 5 or 6 places. It is a nice setting inside. Our waitress dropped off the menus and then did not check back for about 15 min after she dropped off the the drinks … hmmmm, Hello! The salsa is very bland looking. It had a little kick to it. The chips were room temp and plain. I got the Marlin fish tacos. Nice smoked flavor and tasted very good. My partner got the beer battered fish tacos and she really liked them. I want to go back and try the whole fish with Ajo. Prices were reasaonable. The fresh Lemonada was good.

Amazing food and amazing service! The appetizers were great but that main course was delicious! Hands down one of the best authentic Mexican entrees I have ever had! Will defiantly be back. Also try the margaritas, on point!

Ate here with a group of people and enjoyed the food. The ingredients seemed fresh. The fish and shrimp are cooked as they should be and especially enjoyed the shrimp cerviche and marlin fish tacos. The margaritas were good also. I think it is best for the fresh seafood which you won’t get at some Mexican restaurants.

How is it that this place is so close to me yet I am only eating there now? Shrimp culichi, yes please! Ceviche? Absolutely. Marlin tacos? How is all this fitting in my stomach? The only thing I didn’t care for in my meal were the French fries. Who cares, though? I came for the fish which was fresh and tasty. I’m definitely going back for more. I hear they prepare a whole fish which is pretty good — I might need some hungry friends to join me next time?

Stopped at this place after reading reviews on Unilocal.Ordered the ceviche for an appetizer and it was good. I ordered the camarones rancheros. Edible, but over cooked. Also they were not deveined which grossed me out a bit. Fiancé ordered shrimp culichi. He said it wasn’t bad, but again the shrimp was overcooked. Not going to return.

Loved this place. Inside, there is an eating area encircled like a patio under a thatched ceiling. Around this area were additional eating tables. Ordered the fish tacos. Delicious. We do enjoy Rubio’s and love Taco Fish, and these were all as good or better in their own way. I would rate these right at Taco Fish’s. The rest of the menu is tantalizing. Will have to return to try more.

First rate seafood experience! The ceviche was a generous serving and perfectly flavored. The fish tacos were the best I have ever eaten, and the fish stew and«very good» and that is high praise from my husband. Definitely recommend. Friendly atmosphere and great food, reasonably priced.

So, here’s the thing. I’ve only ever ordered one meal at this place: a single ceviche tostado, an order of tacos de pescado, and a flan. That said, I’ve been here about twenty or thirty times after living in Tucson for a year: the perfect lunch before a flight out of town(for some reason I always get a craving for fish tacos when I fly), a good weekend-alone meal, or an end-of-the-week treat. So, rest assured, it’s a great meal. The ceviche is a light appetizer, made with a perfect balance of lime juice and fresh vegetables, coating bulk shrimp meat, on a crisp tostado shell with a single sliver of avocado on top. Perfectly balanced, requiring no additional adornment. The fish tacos are cod, battered and deep fried, but lacking in oily cling and residue, letting the fish shine through. The slaw on top is a fresh, creamy mix. The little bottle of habanero sauce gives it just the right kick of heat. The flan is unadorned, and simply good, providing a little relief if you overdo it on the habenero sauce, and tops a pretty near-perfect meal. The servers are all friendly and attentive, and I never have trouble getting a seat. A great place to kick back, read a book, and enjoy good food done right.

I cannot believe I had never been here before after being in Tucson for four years! I love seafood, and Mariscos Chihuahua is fantastic. My boyfriend took me here one night after we had passed it several times on our way back to Phoenix. He was pleasantly surprised to learn that the chef was from his home state in Mexico. The style of cooking was exactly how it is in Mexico. Nothing is better than authentic food. Although my boyfriend loves the ceviche and the raw seafood, I’ve never been a big fan of raw shrimp and squids. However, Mariscos Chihuahua also has several dishes with cooked seafood that are fantastic. I ordered the seafood stew on my first visit, and it was absolutely delicious. The next time we went, I had the marinated octopus, which is great too. I grew up despising the taste of octopus and squid. Every time I had it, it was always too rubbery, and the texture was just incredibly off-putting. However, at this restaurant, the octopus was extremely tender and very tasty. The dish also comes with a lot of vegetables and is surrounded by rice, so I love that. The raw dishes are pretty good too, although it simply isn’t my preference. They have great ceviche that is served with tortilla and mayo. The culichi is tasty as well. I’d also recommend the fried fish. We’ve never tried it, but it sure smelled good when the waiter brought it by to another table.

Ohhhh this place :) My favorite location, however, all the other places are consistent as well but this is the one I always end up going to. Regardless of who I go with, I feel like the same thing is always order amongst everyone: ceviche, oysters and shrimp culichi. Besides homemade ceviche, i think Mariscos Chihuahua has the best. Its just done right, shrimp is cooked in lime juice and not flash cooked. This is the only place I’ve tried culichi, was introduce to it here too, and heaven… there’s more to mexican cuisine than tacos, burritos and enchilada(sad, but thats all i really knew). Its in this creamy green sauce that just goes perfectly with their rice, all wrapped in a flour tortilla. ORDERTHIS!!! Tried other dishes… havent found anything that tops it. Oh dont expect excellent service. They’re ok when its not too busy but when it does get busy, dont expect to see your waiter/waitress.

We had dinner here with the family. Great prices, cold beer, and delicious food. My parents had the grilled shrimp and it was tasty and was a good portion size. I had the culichi shrimp which was delish. We shared ceviche which is the perfect match with a cold beer on a umber night. Being here reminds me of being on vacation near the beach. We will definitely be back, and we highly recommend you give this place a try.

Hello little shrimp! Yum. I go here because the seafood is fresh off the boat!(usually) I wont talk about the bad incidences I’ve had there because it’s been maybe two or three times in all the years I’ve been going here. PROS: everything on the menu is delish! The portions are big and the ambiance is pleasant, especially the outdoor seating at the one on Grande. CONS: Its a little pricey for Tucson, the waitresses can be idiot bitches at the one on grant near 1st MUSTREAD: I may not love this place AS much if they didn’t make a killer michelada HOWEVER because they’re made from scratch it depends who you get, which SUCKS.

This was NOT my first time here. I don’t know what game they were playing tonight but I’m so pissed off at this place I likely will never go back. First the server pretended not to speak English but then showed she could just fine. Then they just plain shorted me on my fish order tonight. I barely got three itty bitty tiny pieces of filet when there is usually so much you can’t finish it all. They lost my business and hopefully you won’t give them yours!!! 1 star for«Eek! Methinks not.»

If you love authentic Mexican seafood dishes, look no further! Mariscos has a wide variety of seafood cocktails, all of which are incredibly delicious. My friend swears by the Caldo 7 Mares, a soup brimming with every kind of underwater creature you can think of. My only complaint is the service is inconsistent.(Oh, and the bathrooms were a little gross.)
