We were lucky enough to snag some delicious BBQ while checking out Tucson Hop Shop a few weeks ago and it was great! While drinking some beers inside I tried the pulled pork sliders that came with a side and I chose mac and cheese. The pork was very tender and delicious if anything the sauce was a touch too sweet but that’s because I prefer the vinegary kind to the sweet. Either way still very good. And the mac! I haven’t seen anyone in town make it like this except me and I was very excited. It’s a tomato based sauce with cheese and shells, so good! A very welcome change to the usual and if you’ve never had it I suggest you do. We also ordered ribs and other stuff to take home but since I went out that night by the time I got home it was all gone, I was told it was good. Hopefully Mr. Cookman’s is a regular at Tucson Hop Shop so I can visit two of my new faves at the same time :)
