I’ve been wanting to have an old(2011) laptop reformatted/tuned-up and send to my daughter to use(who has been anxiously awaiting such!) Over a month ago I saw their banner out front for computer repairs and went inside. Literally after a 20 to 25 min wait in line, I had to leave. I’m quite busy but decided to try again after another independent store quoted me over $ 220! So I made another trip and a(new?) employee was helpful and did some research, quoting me a price of just over $ 100. I was thrilled, as was my daughter out of state. HOWEVER, when I took laptop in and drop off for repairs, I was told that I had been misquoted and the final cost would also be well over $ 200! So three trips out of my way, over an hour spent there, and end result was just frustration and disappointment.

We shop here a good bit since it is convenient to our home. The people in store are very friendly and helpful and we always get our copying done here. They’re much cheaper and faster than Kinkos. They are also nicer and actually take time to get the job right. So, for copy services I’d give them 5 stars. My only complaint with Office Depot is their«extended warranty.» We’ve purchased them for all our electronics and only recently have I had to try to get service for one. I purchased a rather inexpensive MP3/Video player just before Christmas. It’s main purpose was entertainment while we were traveling over the holidays. It worked fine — once. The first time I tried to recharge it the power failed and it wouldn’t turn on again. I pulled out my extended warranty and contacted Office Depot. They told me to package it up and return it and they’d issue a gift card for the purchase amount in 10 days. That was over two months ago. I returned the item via USPS Priority Mail and they received it two days later. I have never received the refund nor any other communication from Office Depot. I have tried contacting them but so far, no luck. Office Depot now has both my MP3 player and my money and show no signs of fixing the problem in any way. So, this is probably the last electronic equipment I ever buy there. My advice would be to skip the electronics section because of the poor customer service at the corporate level. If you must buy electronics there skip the«extended warranty» because it will be good money thrown after bad.
