QuikTrip

On retrospect of my great review of this QT, it’s hard to get into if you’re coming off Houghton. It isn’t well designed for getting in except off Golf Links. I mean, that’s life, right? But I had to make a left onto Golf Links and then make a u-​turn. And then leaving, you don’t have many choices but to take Houghton or continue east on Golf Links– no left onto Golf Links. Just annoying, but I am used to QT having better in/​out roads. Plus this one doesn’t connect to the Goodwill next door– there should be a joining road. Come on!

It’s a QT. What more can I say? It’s convenience store heaven. I would like to think that this is what Steve Jobs would call iTrip. The new Gen III stores are the Taj Mahal of gas station destinations. Yes, coming here is an E-​ticket experience, compelling you to come back for more. A day without a visit to QT is like a day without sunshine. Nirvana on every corner.

This QuikTrip (QT) location is now our go-​to QT. It is close to our home, and it’s usually much calmer than the other various locations in town. I like calm places, especially when I just want to run in and out for a drink or lottery, so this is great for me.
Like the other locations, this QT is clean, the staff is super, super friendly, and they have tons of options for a variety of food, snacks, and drinks. It’s everything a convenience store should be. Generally, I don’t like to eat the sandwiches or hot food from convenience stores because I like to keep my intestines happy. However, I will eat the food from QT. They keep everything clean and they rotate the food out, so you don’t really have to fear that you’re eating a three day old hot dog. They have lots of condiment choices for hot dogs and sandwiches as well, which is nice. The taquito things are tasty, too! They used to get a fresh shipment of donuts at night, but I don’t think they do that anymore, so I haven’t been able to have any of their «fresh» desserts lately, but they were good in the past.
Add that the gas prices are usually some of the lowest in town, and you really don’t have to look any farther for your gas and convenience needs. QT is all you need!
Also, QT is one of the few places that you can get FREE AIR! Which is really very nice, and I’ve needed it more than makes me happy in the past few months.
TIP for this QT location: If you are entering from Houghton, be very careful making the right into the lot. You have to get into the merging lane, and people tend to drive fast there, so be careful!
