How fun is The Hut?!? My brother and sister in law live in Tucson, and they love this spot. They have great bands that visit their outdoor stage, which really bring out the eclectic nature of Tucson. I also love the games available, including billiards, corn hole, And Jenga. They have some local beers on draft, as well as good fruity drinks. My favorite part about the Hut? It has to be the crowd. The people. That be-yourself– and don’t-give-a-fu*k attitude. I absolutely love it. Come dance here, you’re welcome!

An interesting bar. Looks like an old tiki mountain portion of mini golf course that turned into a bar. The crowd was all over the place with some frat type college kids, but also some middle-age couples enjoying some cocktails. Prices for drinks were cheap and the live band was nice to enjoy while drinking some #3 dollar well cocktails on a Friday night. They also have an outside area with a DJ and some old wooden benches. This could be a fun spot for fun, but overall I just got an odd vibe with the mixed crow and trance DJ outside, and live band with slow song cooer on the inside. I will give kudos to the great price drinks and islander type tiki deco. Overall an average experience. If I ever end up in downtown Tucson again– i may swing by, but it’s nothing to write home about.

I’ve frequented the Hut as long as I’ve been old enough to partake, and while I think I may be growing out of the atmosphere at this age, I have enjoyed my time here over the years. The Hut has it all, at least in the eyes of a college-age guy looking for a place to hang out and drink affordably for the night. Live music, free pool, karaōke, DJ’s, giant Jenga, giant connect four, and cornhole, there are quite a few things to do here while you imbibe. Most of the people here are pretty friendly though the Hut does seem to attract some miscreants as well, just hope they don’t pick a fight with you over the pool tables. The bartenders are fantastic, they pour strong drinks and make some especially good cocktails if you’re not sure what to get. The fishbowls are great for groups who don’t mind sharing! One thing I like about the Hut is they always have entertainment, even during the week. It’s pretty rare that they don’t have something going on whether it be game night, live music, or a DJ, even on your average weekday. If you’re looking for a college bar with more to do than just sit around and drink, the Hut is a great choice. It’s not exactly somewhere I would take anyone over the age of 30 or my parents, but it’s pretty fun for a group of young people.

Went for a gig and was treated very poorly by what I think is the bouncer/bus buy? He has a beard, sort of short. Anyways, background story: I guess I was standing in the wrong place? Too near the stage or something, not very sure(I’m a chick). I laughed out loud, was about to make a joke, and proceeded to move. BUT he flipped the F out and told me, «I’m just trying to do my FUCKINGJOB!» Dude, had a mini breakdown. I was like, WTF? I told my partner about it and we kind of just like shrugged off the whole situation. I decided to move and go sit with the friends, didn’t finish watching the gig. Later in the night, I was smoking outside and happened to glance over at him and sort of just stare off into space and he actually put his hands out in the air and said«WHAT?» Like ready to fight me or something. WTF? Rude and he has serious anger issues. I don’t know why so many bars hire these aggressive macho men… Bad experience, I will never go back because of him. But, good place to drink, chill… too bad.

The Hut is a staple if you’re out drinking on fourth ave. They have specials every night of the week and I don’t think I have ever paid more than $ 3 for a single drink. The thing I like most about this place is the full length shuffle board table inside and the life-size jenga outside near the front entrance. There is always a DJ in the outdoor area and live bands playing on the weekends too. Some of the bands are actually really great too! Note:It is quite loud, so if you are looking for a low key place to get a beer, I would not recommend The Hut.

I usually have a good time here but they lost my debit card when I had an open tab and then proceeded to be rude about it when they were the ones that fumbled the ball

By far one of the best bars in Tucson. live music, DJs, games everywhere, great prices. The crowd is a hodgepodge of everyone from hippies, hipsters kick balls people, bikers, greasers and just everyday type from old to young people, tattoos are welcome as long as they don’t look like they could be gang related(because who really want gang looking people in there bar anyways) it makes me feel like I want to come back again and again.

This place would be alright if there wasn’t a prick at the front acting like he’s holding the keys to the pearly gates. The guy takes 4 minutes inspecting ones ID as if we are boarding an international flight. Seriously it’s a bar — not a bank vault. Will never go there again –poor service and terrible atmosphere

want to experience the Dead scene in Tucson? the place to be is The Hut, every Saturday @ 4:20 for the Top Dead Center Show. Quite often the band as a featured artist sitting in with them. Lots of fun, dancing, and all round good time. Great outdoor and indoor stage/dance area. Staff keep the drinks flowing and service always with a smile.

Hard wooden benches that will make your ass so numb that you won’t feel all the splinters. A few padded looking stools that might have actually been cushiony soft back in 1974 when they were made. The Tiki theme is cool but the place needs a deep cleaning. I went to the 420 show but it did not start till like 5 pm. My butt was sore so I just left. I will hesitate to go here again.

The décor kicks ass, & the bartender I had was amazing under pressure; there was an overwhelming amount of people at her station(inside) & she handled it like a certified drink-slinger. Interesting thing about the spot, is every section has a different kind of crowd; that’s neither good, not bad, just an interesting footnote. The crowd changes when the live music comes in, which isn’t bad; the dj they had talked too much on the mic, but they cut them off early anyway. The crowd this place attracts on weekend nights is hit or miss, so scan it before you get a drink. Going on a weekend was maybe the wrong time to go, because the place seems like it has a higher potential than 2-stars. I’m definitely planning on coming back during a weeknight, & I have a feeling our review will change once I do.

Just turned 21 and went to Hut last night as a last stop on a bar hop… love it! I was always really interested in what it would be like since ive always seen the outside(who wouldnt notice the giant tiki head?!) and i was pleased. I dont have any real bar experience but of all the 4th av bars this was my fav lzast night. Keep in mind it was a wednesday night but The Hut was actually packed! waited in a long line to get in, the guy at the front was super nice and accepted my paper ID since to get your over 21 license it takes 15 mailing days so they give you a temp. I was worried they were going to turn me away because I heard a lot of bars are not warmed up to the paper IDs but he was really cool and let me and my whole group in. When you get in the patio they have a big sand area(nice sand not dirt from the sand) a ton of room to dance with a DJ and lights, which is all a drunk group of girls could ask for, nice chairs and tables, giant jenga and connect 4, and the tiki torches everywhere. It was pretty cool for a smallish Tucson bar. I went inside and expected it to be dead but it was soooooooo busy! A group of our guys waited in line forever to try to yell a drink order to the bartender who was doing amazing for tons of college kids screaming things at him! We asked for a fishbowl and he recomended the fat boy. The drink was perfect. It was huge and only cost $ 12. Really sweet but so amazing i could have drank 7 of them. I was givin a bunch of drinks by my group and they were all really good! The Adiós wasnt as strong as ive had it other places but it was still really good. The bar has a great energy and if you sit on the patio it seems less loud and crowded even though it really wasnt. Bartenders were constintly clearing our drinks which was awesome because then there was more room o the table for more haha. Loved it and cant wait to go back!

A drunken time was had by all. With $ 2.50 Landshark beers how could you not have a blast? There are some definite pluses and some minuses to this bar. Overall, it’s a good place to hang out with your crew. What I don’t like are bathroom attendants. I mean really, I’m grown and know how to wash my hands. Why do I need to pay someone to hand me a paper towel? That’s a bit ridiculous in my opinion. I very much enjoyed to open patio and the great party games. Any time you can play giant Jenga is a good time. The sand area with beanbags was a lot of fun too. There is plenty of seating at the outside benches and a ton of room to dance. The door man was pretty cool and let our whole group in, about 20 people, for one lump sum. The fact that there is a cover charge is a bit annoying but whatever. I found the bar staff to be quick and polite. Customer service is key. If I were in the neighborhood I would come back and enjoy some cheap drinks and some good outdoor time.

Great bands and the best staff in Tucson. Prices are right and the crowd is always laid back. If you want to play pool with your friends or see a band or just hang out and play giant Jenna this is the place. Come out any day of the week.

If you are looking for a laid back dive bar to play fun drunken games and have cheap drinks, this is the place for you! Came here for super bowl with some friends and bf and had a great time. Wasn’t packed at all like most places get on that day. The only bad thing was they didnt have the sound on the TVs and I really wanted to hear my girl Katy Perry for the half-time show. Other than that we had a great time on the free pool tables and giant jenga. At one point my bf and friend turned giant jenga into giant dominoes which was quite entertaining for everyone there. Haha. Everyday they have different drink specials, so be sure to ask the bartender what they are. Great atmosphere and great drinks. My new favorite on 4th !

Great atmosphere for a good time. Charlotte is the best and it’s not her fault that the biggest feminine hygiene product in a convenient disposable bottle overgrown leprechaun flea infested facial hair trash takerouter sorry ass display of a real man decided to bad mouth my wife who was having a difficult time with artificial sweetener.(sugar alcohol) was having a sugar crash. Scum bag said I needed to get the drunk bitch out of there. Yes kindly I will and I’ll really think twice about ever spending my hard earned money in that freaking dive again! To the hut, kiss my Winnie!

They got Giant Jenga sets set up in the patio!!! Lol. It occupied us for a bit, and it was lots of fun!(Make sure to keep your drinks away from the table though…) This place was a nice, fun hang out spot. Love the entrance! Once inside, the patio is huge, with a bar in the middle. If you go into the main bar area, there is a stage where bands come out to play. Big dance area for the fans! The bartenders & staff are super friendly. You should check this place out!
