Breakfast is very good. They do have the best bacon in town. Took a visit or two before we found things we really liked.

Not a bad meal, however, considering the emphasis on BACON I thought our pepper bacon tasty but skinny. 2 pokey little slices. I was disappointed.

Best eggs benedict ever! With shaved ham. So good! Shared the bacon donut holes. Yum! Cute place. Waitress was really friendly. Tshirts for sale.

For the hours they are open it is odd that they have a full serve bar. Not sure if that makes much profit… but the food is decently priced. Quick serves, yet mediocre on the flavor. Ordered the eggs Benedict which was ok. Also had their maple bacon donut. Good, very sweet kind of dense for a donut though. All in all a good place, would maybe ask what their specialties are if I come back.

Pros: the Sriracha Bloody Mary is one of the best I’ve ever had. Great servers who did any outstanding job of taking care of our big group, who arrived at staggered times over an hour. Cons: the food was bland. The chorizo omelet had no spice, the enchilada sauce on top was bitter, like when someone over cooks the sauce. The bacons were OK, nothing to write home about.

Granted, this was a Sunday midday and after Christmas. We were quoted a wait time, yet a large party came after us and were offered seating immediately. OK, so hostessing is hard sometimes. Then food service, hmmm. Had to ask repeatedly for meal pairings like ranch dressing. Good on the drink refills though. Food was delicious and we will definitely return.

Delicious! We’ve eaten here a number of times in the past few months, both breakfast & lunch. I personally love the club sandwich & the fries are done to perfection. The restaurant is always clean, the service friendly & the portions generous.

We drive by The Oink every day on the way to drop off my kids at school and I’ve been looking forward to going for a while. Seeing the menu online and discovering they had maple bacon doughnuts just made the want become a need however I must say that I was severely disappointed. The doughnuts were not fresh, they were hard and they were anything but tasty and delicious as advertised. They literally made me nauseous after having just one bite and honestly still, four days later, just the thought of bacon makes my stomach turn. Its been a while since I’ve felt disappointment in wanting a food so badly and having it be a total disaster. I don’t think I will be returning, the thought that the rest of the menu may be as unappealing as the doughnuts is enough to keep me away.

I am updating my review, as based on my last two visits this place has made great strides to improve their service since we first initially visited. Service much better, cleanliness spot on. Food still as good as it was even under my 3 star review. We were seated quickly both visits(in November) and immediately the server came over bringing us ice water and asking us if we wanted other drinks. She was super great at her job(I believe her name was Dallas — both times) and immediately made you feel welcome and well taken care of. She did a great job start to finish. The food is great here, the flight of bacon is my favorite and I believe the sugar-cured and pecan are my absolute favorites. The hubs tried the Huevos Rancheros and he said they were pretty good for it not being a Mexican restaurant. I went for the pancakes this go around(with a side of bacon, you can never have too much bacon!) The pancakes are from scratch and these were very good. We’ll be back, and I am trying the french toast next time.

I have been to Oink four times now. Mostly because it’s closer to my house. But there are other positives as well. The service is always pleasant. We’ve sat at the bar every single time and the crew that works back there always are friendly and greet us with hellos. The food is pretty good for the most part. I enjoyed their biscuits and gravy very much. I also have enjoyed their different types of bacon. The jalapeño stands out just because of the heat. I like the hot stuff. I do not, however, like their pancakes. Too fluffy and not done enough for me. If you like a fatty pancake these will be right up your alley. I like mine thin with crunchy ends :) All in all though the atmosphere, the employees, and bacon makes this a great place for breakfast! The End.

My husband and I have been here multiple times and it has turned into a Sunday treat. The food is tasty! The bloody Mary’s are great and the bacon is delicious. Also a calm cool atmosphere with outdoor seating available –which allows dogs:)

First time there and enjoyed EVERYTHING. Started with the maple bacon donut holed, I had the choitzo and eggs, my husband had 2 eggs. The hash browns were perfect, crispy not greasy, eggs tasted fresh, choitzo nice and dry, no grease left. The bacon was great. Tried 2 different kinds. Definitely will return. The lunch menu looks tasty, especially the club sandwich. GREAT find in Tucson.

Enjoyed breakfast this morning. Slightly pricey but the quality was in keeping with the price. Had the Tucson omelette that has chorizo and it was very good. Recommend it for breakfast lovers who are looking for options that are not on the beaten path.

My mom, husband and I came here on Friday for breakfast. My mom always goes to the places we make her try, and she had one of her own this time. She had been here previously, and was really excited for us to try it, also. I had read the reviews on Unilocal, and it seems like people either love it or hate it, so I didn’t know what to expect. This place is super cute, though! It’s all pig-stuff everywhere. You can still sort of see Heist in the place, but the Oink Café was way better. Our server, Lana, was great. We all really liked her. She made us feel really welcomed and gave us great suggestions. We got one bacon sampler and shared it. The jalepeno piece was really good, and the applewood was delightful. We all had different favorites, those were my two. Among the other favorites were the peppered and the sugar cured. But, I mean, it’s bacon… it was all good. My mom got the traditional benedict, husband got the pork confit benedict and I got the bacon benedict, and I got the jalepeno bacon on it at the suggestion of Lana. Jalepeno bacon is the way to do it! It gave it a little bit of a kick with the hollandaise and poached eggs, and I will totally get this when I go again. My egg was poached perfectly! This isn’t a feat that I come across a whole lot, as most of the time I still get clear whites, but this was solid whites with a runny egg. The hollandaise was on point, too. This was, honestly, the best eggs benedict I’ve had in a Tucson restaurant. Lana also gave us to-go cups for our teas, which is always appreciated in Tucson! This is for sure now in my breakfast joint rotation! Great service, great food, and pretty yummy pomegranate green tea!

Worst service ever! Didn’t bring me coffee, then remove our meal as my kid was in the bathroom. We were there less then a half hour guess that is to long to enjoy your food! Oh and I am going home and cooking the bacon so it isn’t raw. I never did get but two sips of coffee.

Came with some friends for breakfast while visiting Tucson. We got a table immediately at 9 am on a Saturday morning. The place was very clean and nicely decorated. Our server was helpful and mostly attentive. I ordered the bacon benedict with the peppered bacon. The peppered bacon was perfect in the benedict. I believe the disk was $ 9 or $ 10. Slightly overpriced for breakfast in Tucson.

I came back to Oink after they reopened following a fire, to sample some more of their food. I had previously tried the french toast, which was really good. But this is a bacon-themed restaurant and I thought it was time to try something else. This time I ordered the Bacon Benedict, with jalapeño bacon and hash browns. Service was quick, which is good during lunch time. The food, on the other hand, was a huge let-down. For starters, the«hollandaise» sauce on the benedict had broken and rather than fix it or start over, they served it anyway. It also tasted like cheese — an ingredient not found in hollandaise. The hash browns were undercooked and completely unseasoned. I’ve never had such bland, sad hash browns — even the chain diners do this better. And then there’s the jalapeño bacon. You don’t usually throw a word like«jalapeño» in there without some kind of heat. But there was none. Either they didn’t give me the bacon I ordered, or their bacon is flavorless. Both seem equally likely. On my first visit, I thought the booths were uncomfortable and the room was uncomfortably cold — but the food was good. On my second visit, the food was terrible. On the plus side, service and speed were good both times — and that keeps this review at 3 stars. The main problem with Oink is there are at least two better breakfast/lunch places within a mile. I suppose I won’t be back for a third try.

The flight of bacon was really good, but sadly there’s not much else to rave about. Perhaps because they specialize in bacon they feel the rest of the food is a lesser concern. Not so! We want things to go with our bacon and while the eggs were ok, the pancakes tasted like an Eggo waffle. I suspect they were frozen and popped in a toaster prior to serving based on the size and the crunchy exterior. The coffee was average though I did have to ask for refills twice. The donut holes with maple and bacon were disappointing too. The donut holes were too crunchy and just not fresh. The bacon crumbled over the(Log Cabin?) syrup, which seemed watery, didn’t help much. There is a special for us Unilocalers, and they shorted me on one of the eggs, though they did correct it upon questioning. Overall not a great experience and I wouldn’t bother visiting again despite the delicious bacon.
