Probably the worst ramen spot I’ve been too in the Pacific Northwest. Staff is okay. We were asked to move a few times to accommodate a large party. Which I understand but we were already settled, had our drinks and ordered our food. We got moved to the door which gave a huge breeze every time it was open. In the end our ramen would get cold really quick before we could finish. As for the ramen itself, it’s terrible. Small portions, skimps on the protein and all the broth taste the same — like peanut butter. Avoid this place for ramen unless you are dying to be disappointed.

This place was pretty good. I got some spicy Ramen, I canmot remember which exact kind. It was a decent amount of food for $ 10. I also got the fried octopus balls. They were not great. They were drenched in BBQ sauce, which made it too sweet. It seems like they try to Americanize the fried octopus balls to appeal to more people instead of keeping it real. They are not like the Japanese ones im used to. Overall, good experience. I would stick to the Ramen from now on and not waste my money on the octopus.

One of my favorite ramen place! The customer service is great. Always really welcoming and checks up on their guests often. At first I didn’t really like this place but I was really craving ramen so I gave it another try. Soup is always warm and seasoned well. Spicy tantan men(R8) is my fav! The soup is thick but still drinkable lol. I always as for an extra side of spicy paste because I like it spicy. I really enjoy the ground beef in the soup. Not really a chashu(pork). Arashi ramen(R5) is always really good. The soups flavor is really light not thick. Has a different type of noodle then the R8. Love the seaweed and bean sprout in the ramen. Overall good flavor.

In all honesty the food isn’t that bad and the place is eye appealing. However the space is cramped and the service isn’t the best. Two people from our party were running a bit late and the server insisted that we ordered right away. She came back in 30 second intervals after saying that we needed a bit more time. In addition when we were getting ready to pay the server basically rushed us out the door. It’s very likely that I will not be coming back.

Found this little hideaway via Unilocal. The reviews were positive so we gave it a try. I had the tan tan ramen and my husband had the Arashi ramen. We loved it! The service was super fast from getting a table and ordering. The staff super friendly. We’ll definitely be back during our next visit to Seattle.

This place was nice. We got seated pretty fast for a party of 4. I got the spicy miso and actually thought it tasted really weird but I dealt with it. My bf’s bowl was better than mine. If we came back I’d get his bowl. I was also disappointing they don’t offer bambu shoots. Also my bowl didn’t get any seaweed. And I didn’t get much katsu either, little bits here and there. Maybe I just had a bad choice. I’d come back to give this place another try.

Really, very enjoyable ramen at a good price. I ended up with a Spicy Miso Tonkotsu, medium in spice, which came out within 10 minutes. It was large, with plenty of delicious miso broth, meat, and tons of tasty noodles. The spice was a really good level — enough to be a kick, but not overwhelming. The flavors were wonderful, and not as salty as many ramen broths can be. I don’t remember the exact price, but I want to say $ 10 or so, and I thought it was very fair. It’s small here, and can get busy, so it’s possible that you may be greeted with a wait.

Great service and great food! What more can I say? Our group of 7 came for our first time on a Sunday afternoon around lunchtime, so we expected a wait. The restaurant is pretty small and there aren’t many tables, especially for big groups, so perhaps call ahead. The wait wasn’t too long though, maybe 15 minutes. Once we were seated and looking over the menu, we were served water almost right away. Awesome, no need to ask! After taking out order, our food came out a reasonable amount of time later, not super fast but not too long either. Good stuff. We ordered R1s, R4s, and a garlic karaage rice bowl. We were all pretty satisfied, and when you have a big group, I’d call that a win. Overall, awesome. Next time I’m craving ramen and in the area, I’ll be sure to stop by again.

This place got wonderful reviews, and everyone always tells me I need to check this place out. So on the way home from Portland, we decided to finally give this place a try. I know I am completely biased, but hey, I love Kukai Ramen. Their broth is lighter, Arashi’s is a little too heavy for me. I ordered the Miso, and it really didn’t even taste like Miso. Miso has a very distinctive flavor, and it just tasted like a regular broth. The service was great, very quick and accurate. We ordered some gyoza and those were really good! Sometimes the dumpling skin is too thick at some places, but it’s really good here! Unfortunately, I probably won’t be coming back. If I’m in the area and willing to give this place another try, then sure. But I’m not gonna make a special trip from Kirkland to come here.

Came in today for lunch… Didn’t wait that long… Maybe 10 – 15 mins for a table with my husband and son. Within a minute we received 2 glasses of water WITHOUT asking! That was fabulous! Husband ordered the lunch combo Arashi Ramen & Honey garlic karaage with a side salad. The ramen was very tasty. The broth was rich and full of flavor. My husband very much enjoyed it. The honey garlic karaage was delicious and the sauce was sweet and delicious! Will definitely order that again. I ordered the lunch combo Spicy Miso Tonkotsu(med spicy) & Takoyaki with a side salad. The salad dressing was very salty… Was not my cup of tea… I’m usually a ginger lemon dressing kind of gal. The takoyaki seemed over cooked to me and I’ve had my share of takoyakis. The sauce and bonito shaving on top was the perfect amount… I just wished whomever manned the takoyaki balls paid more attention to the heat level. The ramen broth was rich and creamy with the perfect heat. I love corn so I was glad to see it was a heeping portion of it. The ramen noodles was cooked perfect… Not too chewy, not over cooked. I however didn’t enjoy the marinated chopped chasu… Maybe in my white rice but not in my ramen… I would definitely come back to try the other ramens though… Service was great! I’m not too fond of being checked on constantly though… I would like to eat my food in peace… Do that I feel rushed for some reason. I do however appreciate the waitress making sure my husbands water was always filled to the top.

Arashi Ramen feeds my soul. I am so incredibly happy this place exists and that they’ve recently opened another location in Ballard. This review is only for the Southcenter location. I love the interior and overall ambiance of the restaurant. It’s bright, welcoming, and smells so freaking good as soon as you walk in. Minor con: there’s not a lot of seating space so during peak hours, you will have to wait a considerable amount of time… but I promise, the wait will be worth it! FYI– this is not a good place for big groups. I would say 5 – 6 is the most they can accommodate but even then you would be pushing the limits. Ok, onto the food. Ahhhhh I am in love with the black garlic ramen. It’s a bowl of garlicky heaven! I’ve also enjoyed their signature Arashi ramen as well although it is slightly more expensive than the other ramen bowls. The broth is very rich, the noodles are cooked perfectly, and the pork is really delicious. I especially love the egg that comes with some of the ramen bowls; if it doesn’t automatically comes with yours, you can add it to your bowl at an extra cost. Arashi Ramen is one of the best ramen places I’ve been to in both Seattle and Bellevue!

«Irasshaimase!!!» Ooweee. Ramen Ramen Ramen. I love Ramen. Let me tell you. I have been eating ramen(of the top type) since I was a kid. But haven’t all of us victims of American cuisine?(No offense, BBQ. I will always love you). No need to fret. I am happy to say I’ve graduated in the institute of ramen tastebuds. In 2015 I went to Tokyo and tried some no doubt authentic I-can-die-happy-now ramen. This place is just as delicious as some of the restaurants I had in Japan. Is it the best? No. But the Arashi/Miso ramen here is amazing. I haven’t yet tried the black garlic or any others because honestly, I’m terrified I won’t like it. What a waste that would be. Come all you weary. Arashi will soothe your pain.

This place gets 4 stars because 3 stars wouldn’t be fair for it being the only ramen place in the area. If you want really good ramen, go to Vancouver BC or something… But for now, this is a GEM in southcenter. Pros? Clean Friendly Yummy broth Cons? Not enough ingredients Tips! Black garlic ramen is always my favorite– get that, and sub the thick noodles(they’re the typical ramen noodles)… The thin noodles that come with just ain’t up to par Friendly efficient service Write your name down and they’ll call you when there’s a spot… Get there before they even open to get sat immediately

Nice place to stop in later in the evening, it’s not as crowded as during the day. We started with takoyaki which had great flavor and were not to doughy, then we had chicken karaage which was fried to perfection(not dried out). Arashi Ramen was the main course, the pork was fresh, not chewy and the broth was flavored very well giving the taste buds a treat. The resteraunt was very clean as were the facilities, the service was very fast, friendly and very attentive to the customers. We will be back for more great ramen.

This is my second time being back to Arashi Ramen after my first time running. Well, this time i decided to order the soy based broth instead of salt based broth. The taste is not as flavorful, but it still tastes good. I think I’ll stick with soy based soup in the future and not do salt based anymore. I haven’t tried the miso based broth.

I’m not an expert on ramen, so I have nothing to really compare this to. We ordered the karaage chicken and I wasn’t a fan. It was kind of grisly and fatty, but had good breading and flavor. I don’t remember exactly what I ordered but it was a light broth with a slice of pork and an egg. I thought it was pretty good. My husband ordered the tan tan and I thought it had a nice flavor, kind of like peanut butter. It was pretty heavy and very rich. I think after a while you would get bored of eating it. We also ordered a side of corn and it added a nice sweet bite. Overall, I kind of liked it and I would come back to try something different.

Just not my favorite. Well probably because I have tried the Ramen in Vancouver BC. In terms of pricing. Its pretty pricy. I mean ramen noodle with one slice of meat for $ 10. I don’t think so. I ordered the tonkatsu Ramen. Its ok. Noodle is a bit too firm. But I am sure some people like it that way. One piece of meat and it was very thin. Also the other layer is basically fat. Really not much meat. Egg was the way I like it. It has the nice yolk melting in your mouth. I like that. Soup base well a bit on the salty side. But its different from what i am used to. Doesn’t taste like the soup been cooked for long hours. Kind of too watery instead of milky. Size was ok. more noodle hardly any meat proportion. Décor was clean and nice. Only issue is that Restroom is limited and you have to wait. I didn’t bother going in. I happened to be in a rush. Server was very friendly. She explained the things quite well. Will I come back. Well maybe. But not a special trip.

I will admit I wasn’t too impressed the first time I came here. The wait seemed long, the place a little too small and the ramen just OK. However, we gave it another try and boy did things turn around. While the wait was still long and the place a little cramped– the food was worth it. The chicken appetizer is amazing!!! And the ramen was fantastic! The broth tasted very clean, and I think the price was reasonable. A ramen under $ 10 seems like a steal to me! It makes sense why people will wait in long lines to eat here.

This is a great hole in the wall Ramen shop and reminds me of those places in LA and Hawaii. I really wish that there were more tables available as the wait can be really long when everyone’s stomachs synchronize and throngs of people descend on Tukwila. The food though is worth it. I had the black garlic Ramen which was really delicious and also a full size of the Honey garlic chicken karaage and the takoyaki which were both little morsels from heaven. I am definitely coming back whenever I’m back in Tukwila. This isn’t very far from Southcenter and pretty close to all the baby stores and Total Wine. Great customer service definitely makes up for the long wait and ok parking(small private lot shared by all the strip mall businesses).

Oh my goodness, I’ve found the best ramen in town and it was only 14 minutes and 4 miles away from me!!! Most of the ramen I’ve tried was in Bellevue which was decent, good actually, but I don’t think I’ve had better ramen than at Arashi. I’ve heard about this place before and it just so happens that I was sick and the only thing I was desperately craving for was ramen so it was the perfect opportunity. The location is super easy to find, it is in the shopping center of Plato’s closet which is being under construction right now, but still plenty of parking. I was worried that coming in a Saturday would mean a long wait, especially seeing that there are people lining up right outside the restaurant. The place is small, not too much tables, but fortunately for me since I came by myself, I was seated within a moment and was in and out within half an hour! The menu was very simple to understand as by now, I’m a ramen junkie. I ordered the Shoyu ramen which is soy sauce based, yes ramen will be salty because that’s the traditional way to cook it, but if you’re worried about your sodium level then maybe order a miso based soup. As I bite into the ramen, I came to a conclusion that this is the best quality noodles I’ve had yet. Even the ramen in LA that I waited over an hour for didn’t compare. The pork that was in the ramen bowl was just ever so tender, flavorful, and straight up delicious. I also liked his there were fresh bean sprouts, it added a nice and refreshing texture. I felt invincible after having my bowl of heaven, I’m actually dreaming about it right now writing this review at midnight. I just wish I can order my bowl of ramen in a large size. My bill was under 10 dollars after tax and before tip, I’m darn satisfied. I went somewhere else yesterday for ramen because Arashi is closed on Mondays, but this is still my favorite. Until next time we meet again…
