So glad to have this near by. The Chicken Katsu is really good, the spicy chicken is actually spicy and there’s a really good variety of options from Japanese, Chinese and Korean. Super friendly staff and cute café environment. Very large portions and great prices.

I am very disappointed in this place. I did a to-go order for lunch and waited about 15 minutes for my food. I ordered chicken katsu and unfortunately it was burnt. It looked and tasted burnt. It was terrible! A waste of $ 10

Very welcoming, fast service and food is always hot! Sweet n sour chicken is nice and crispy, egg rolls made fresh and crispy. It’s a great place to take the family, reasonable portions and my kids always ask for seconds! Happy kids, happy parents! Now I know why they call it happy teriyaki!

Large portions. Rice was prefect but so very disappointed. Dry and bland tasting chicken teriyaki. Beef version look unappealing but I didn’t taste it. Will not make the mistake and to stop here again.

Decent teriyaki chicken, gyozas were good, rice was prepared correctly. The lunch special price seemed very fair and the portions were generous. The food is a solid 4⁄5. I had to deduct a star because the back of the restaurant and bathrooms are in such poor condition. The bathrooms have not been cleaned in a VERY long time and it shows(…or smells?). If I had seen the kitchen and bathrooms prior to eating I would have likely gone elsewhere. It’s a shame because the food was good.

Gyoza is piping hot and hits the spot but the Chicken Teriyaki is dry. I would pass on this place and drive to the other hundreds of teriyaki places around.

I think their pricing is too much for their not-so-great quality. I’ve ordered teriyaki from here a couple times, even the sushi, and it is pretty«meh.» Do not order the spicy chicken or spicy beef. They over sauce it(with the garlic spicy sauce I think, that I always have at home and could have added myself) and it does not taste good. It is unfortunate because we ordered extra meat(which made it a lot more extra $$) and didn’t get to enjoy it much. The workers seemed to be pretty new or something because I told them I wanted takeout,(we even asked for no rice since we were eating it at home), but they served it to us on the table. There was something else that happened, but my memory is failing me at the moment. On a more positive note, I love the sauce they give you with the salad like any other teriyaki restaurant and it is a good portion. What I like to do is use the extra to put over my rice to eat with the teriyaki.

Was told my meal doesn’t come with a salad when on the board it says it clearly does. I was notified that the menu boars needed to be updated and I wouldn’t be getting a salad. Even after I ordered what I wanted because the menu says what I would get with my meal. I finally recieved my salad. It was decent portions. Took almost 15 minutes when there was no one in there. The teriyaki took longer than the other dish we got. Why would you bring that out after 5 minute and make us wait almost 10 for the other? Sauce wasn’t great. I could make better. That’s the reason we go out right, to eat something we couldn’t make. It was better than some but would not go here again.

Good food, huge portions! The staff are what really make this place. Tonight I ordered the chicken teriyaki and the chicken katsu came with two scoops fills of rice and a salad. It was about 8 dollars, it was good just nothing special. My husband ordered the chicken teriyaki(breast) he said«it’s alright» if you’re looking to get more for your money and you want teriyaki come here! The ladies there tonight we’re so amazing. They interacted with our two year old the entire time! Brought him little things as the night went on, great ladies! The fountain drink machine was broken, but they do offer water and tea for free which is nice and rare! Give this place a try, I am just not huge on teriyaki.

We decided to stop in this Happy T before I had to drop my friend off at the airport for a flight. We were greeted as we entered which was nice. Then you crank your neck upward to look at the menu board with somewhat small writing. At least it wasn’t handwritten or I would have been like«gurl bye.» Good thing they have a separate menu on a different wall with a large picture of most of the items on the menu. My friend asked if the kitchen could make adaptations to some of the listed menu items and the cashier/cook was happy to make items the way they were asked. So they’re flexible as long as she knows what you’re talking about. I proceeded to the bathroom to wash my hands before we ate and the bathroom was off-putting visually and smelled like mildew so I held my breath, washed my hands, opened the door with my elbows, and dried my hands on my jeans. Nothin’ a little bleach spray can’t fix though. It was a short wait and the food came out. The food was decent. Not the best and not the worst. Just very average. I got veggie fried rice which was a little oily but had plenty of veggies in it. There were large portions as well but let’s be real… it’s just rice and vegetables. The avocado rolls were good though. It wasn’t busy at all but there are a lot of other restaurants to eat at on the same strip so people probably opt to go to Cheesecake Factory or Outback or even McDs before stopping in here. Or maybe it was just slow. It was cheap and the food was filing and my friend was able to leave on a full stomach, so that’s all that mattered in the end.

My boyfriend and I stumbled into this place by acident while trying to turn around and head somewhere else to eat. I wasn’t expecting much from this place seeing as there is so many random teriyaki places here in Washington. I ordered a combo with teri chicken and gyoza and my bf ordered Teri chicken with orange chicken(which he ordered by mistake). We decided to eat in and were pleasantly surprised that they came to us to hand us our food. Our meals came with a side of egg drop soup witch was fantastic! One of the best egg drop soups I’ve ever had. It was Well seasoned and not watery at all like some others that I’ve had. As for the rest of the food it was pretty darn good. My bf who pretty much hates orange chicken loved his orange chicken and the teriyaki chicken was pretty on point as well. I must say for the price and the taste it’s well worth your money and it’s conveniently located across some major shopping areas. So it’s a great place to stop buy to eat lunch or even grab some take out for dinner. I give this place two.

Completely average in every single way. Nothing was good, nothing was bad. I walked in expecting to eat teriyaki, I exited with teriyaki in my stomach.

Great service, and good quality food, however what I love about Teriyaki is the sauce and it was horrible tasted burnt, not what I was expecting.

A little pricey but the flavors were there. If you are looking for some good quality teriyaki I would check this place out. I was a little disappointed with the portion size for the tempura. It was $ 5.99 for like 6 pieces which included 2 string beans so you can imagine the basket was pretty empty. Overall the food had flavor, I would revisit but not order the tempura.

I love this place and have been back many times. The BiBimBap is good and healthy. The Udon is good. I always ask for extra seawood and they are always very good with adding it on. Free tea, free ice water, takeout containers are self service. The prices are a little higher than I am used to $ 8.25 for BiBimBap and $ 6.99 for udon + 1.95 for shrimp on the side, beef or chicken. Besides this, the food is good and the owner very, very sweet! :) I am just trying their chicken teriyaki, so we’ll see.

The beef sucked. Get the chicken. The portions are good here, but the taste is nothing to write home about. Price runs you about 9 – 10 bucks for dinner. Probably better than the Denny’s if you are limited to the area by the airport. The location is in a motel. Dinghy.

Happy Teriyaki has the best yakisoba in town! They bring it out to you on a hot skillet so it is still sizzling as you’re eating it. It stays hot down to the last bite! We live quite a ways away from southcenter, but we regularly drive down here to eat their food.

Right near Southcenter, this is a great place to stop in and get a bite to eat… I love that their menu is really clear, with tons of choices and they have brown rice– I LOVETHAT! I had the chicken breast teriyaki, my husband had the spicy chicken and said that while it wasn’t amazing(per the previous review) it was darn good. The interior is cute, reminds me of the Children’s Museum set up of Japan in their ‘international play’ area. Oh, did I mention the BROWNRICE?
