One star for the shape of the plates. We went here today and had the Mongolian chicken lunch special. Actually I had that and hubby had the filet mignon which was a 2 star — maybe. Anyway, the chicken had a tough rubbery texture surrounded by semi– seasoned vegetables. The waitress asked how everything was. We said the meat was tough and that we couldn’t chew it. She said«it tastes rubbery?» and then walked away and served some other customers water. We were like«uh… Ok.» Eventually after picking through the rice, eating the egg roll and asking for soy sauce to «try» to de-bland the mongolian chicken to no avail; we quit eating in utter disappointment. We asked if they can remove the Mongolian chicken from our bill minus the egg roll which was the only thing that I could eat. She said she’d ask the manager. When she returned she said the could not do this as a courtesy and that just because we did not like the food didn’t mean they wouldn’t charge us… After that I looked up and the manager was grilling me longer than the overlooked filet mignon was grilled. not nice… Ok now we understand they’re a newer business trying to make money but trust me you’re not going to make money or stay in business if you don’t look after your customers & exhibit customer service.

I have been here twice and have tried a good amount and I have enjoyed it all. The Mango Bubble Tea was good, Fresh Rolls(Pork & Prawn), Fried Tofu(Gluten Free in rice flour) & Grilled Pork Vermicelli Noodle Bowl. The servings are pretty big and the food is fresh, I find it to be very tasty. I could seriously live off the grilled pork and fried tofu. The pork in the rolls and in the bowl was tender, grilled to perfection and well bomb!(My bf got the Meat platter or something and said everything was awesome. He went in «not very hungry» but basically licked his plate clean– must have been good!) The staff is always very kind and willing to address any food allergy concerns we have.

This place is absolutely delightful! I loved the food — authentic, fresh, and delicious! Also the atmosphere was just great! Get this — even over the Tamarind Tree — this one is number one first! LOVEDIT! One of my favorite places to join now.

we thought we would give this place a try. Clean, not a lot of frills. Very little options on the menu. I asked a few questions regarding some of the dishes and the waitress had no idea how the meals were prepared. We ordered the Fried Tofu app, it arrived cold and covered with salt almost tasted like«Johnny’s» seasoning. I ordered the Chicken Chowmein and my hubby ordered the Combo meal. His order came out first, the meat was cold and dry, the rice had no flavor and under cooked. I was disappointed as my meal came out 10 minutes after my husband was finished eating. The chowmein was to have veggies which was not included, the wide noodles was still crunchy due to being under cooked. the flavor was just fish sauce, not the best pairing with chicken. The waitress really tried to make it right which I appreciated. She was the only one running the show and it looked like other tables were experiencing the same issue. Would I try it again? No.

I tried the grilled chicken for lunch and I loved it! :) the flavor was excellent… not too salty and the sauce was awesome! I will come back and I would recommend this to any one. BTW, the prices are right at $ 6.95 for the lunch plate and the Thai iced tea was fantastic!!!

I decided to give this place a try recently, as I’m sure many people have/will, due to the Groupon(or was it Living Social) deal they ran last month. I have to say we were pretty disappointed. I got one of my favorite dishes, a vermicelli noodle bowl with charbroiled pork and egg roll. It was a smaller bowl than I’m used to seeing. My friend got the spicy beef soup, but it was decidedly not spicy. The waitress was very nice, apologized, and explained that it’s traditionally extremely spicy, but that they dumb it down for Americans. She brought out some ingredients to make it spicier and, while adding it did increase the level of heat, it didn’t have any flavor and made the soup almost inedible. We also ordered spring rolls as an appetizer which were about as good as what you’d find in a Vietnamese deli, if it was pre-prepared and had been sitting around for a little while. Definitely won’t be back here. If you’re hungry and in the mood for Asian, I’d suggest the adjacent Thai restaurant instead.

Don’t get the Thai ice tea. No flavor in the tea and it was all milk. They don’t know how to make it.

Rating this as a Phở place, because I searched Phở on Unilocal. Not many options, one size-small, but pay for an extra large at most places. Probably a decent Vietnamese restaurant, but not a good place for Phở. One review said the broth was amazing, so i was hoping for at least that. Didn’t happen.

This review is for take out for dinner. I found the menu to be rather brief, with no options to substitute proteins in the dishes. I got an order of shrimp spring rolls which were tasty but the dipping sauce got really messy with the way they rolled the rolls up, with lettuce sticking out of the ends. I also got an order of shrimp fried rice which had the too often used thawed frozen peas and carrots as well as a ton of reddish orange food coloring. Personally I find food coloring to be a turn off — food should get its color from food. Over all the fried rice was lacking in flavor. Not bad but not a place I would rush to return to.

being born vietnamese and raised vietnamese… my standard is rather high for the food. nothing really blows me away flavor wise… but what does blow my mind about this place, there seems to be only one lady running the floor. after about 5 tables get seated she gets rather flustered and the wait can get to be a bit long. last time i was there — my gf and i ordered a few appetizers which came out in a very timely manner. for main dishes she had Phở and i had a rice dish. 20 mins had passed after we FINISHED eating all our appetizers my rice dish came out. i wanted to wait for my gf’s Phở to come out to eat with her. i sat and picked at my dish with the fork but didn’t eat anything while we waited. another 15 mins passed the the Phở has yet to come out — maybe they’re making it from scratch i thought. then the lady comes over to our table and grabs my rice dish and says«sorry this isn’t yours. yours is coming up next! thank you!»… she takes my plate of food that sat there for over 20 mins and she took it from right in front of me and brought it over to another table and let that guy eat it… i don’t know about you but that’s an automatic REDFLAG. the Phở and my food finally came out another 5 mins later — my gf ate half of hers and i picked away at mine and we left. **side note** the food itself… special combo rice is NOT worth $ 12. same dish but better taste and $ 5 cheaper can be found at another viet restaurant.

Ok, new vietnamese place, had to try it! Forgive me for comparing a lot of the food to my mom’s– I’m just that biased! But there ARE some good vietnamese restaurants out there! Just have to find them! And Yes they do exist in Seattle. This place– was not. Had their spring rolls, they were skimping on the meats/shrimp(what restaurant doesnt?). Their sauce was ok– not too runny and had decent amount of peanuts. But not something I’d order again. Ordered their bo luc lac– VERY tender meat. Ordered their mongolian beef– way too gingery. Out of the 2 dishes I shared with my sister, we liked the bo luc lac the most. Maybe because they use ribeye steak for it. I’ll come back here, maybe I’ll try some other items but just like any other vietnamese restaurant, there is no niche here.

Bubble Tea /Smoothie(w/e you wanna call it) Review! Yum. They don’t have the sealing machine, yet, so it came in a clear plastic cup + straw. The chopped ice to avocado ratio was great… it tasted almost like straight blended avocado(and not too thick)! Which is good, btw. Yum. Fresh scents fill the air from those(I forget what they’re called, halp!) scent box ornaments.

Nothing too bad about this place, but I’ve had better. I ordered the grilled chicken noodle salad bowl and it was ordinary at best. At least the place is relatively clean. Oh, and they have these fun asian candies they give you with the bill.

The sister and I had lunch here today and it was very good. I love Vietnamese crepes and for some reason they are hard to find around here. The crêpe was delicious! The iced coffee was out of this world! The sister had the grilled pork bun and was very happy with her choice. The décor is quite lovely — very calming. The family who runs it is friendly and attentive. I highly recommend giving this little gem a try.

I work close by and I think they opened around Nov or Dec 2011, so fairly new. The food is great here. The waitress asked if I wanted a smoothy, but I had never had one before, so asked what flavors they had… she said, among others, they had avacado. I had never heard of an avacado drink before!(avacado??) so decided to try it. Turns out the avacado smoothy is awsome! Had a few since then, and would recomend trying one if you go there. They are soooo good! Great attentive and friendly service. When you come in they ask if you want a chicken or pork fresh roll. Like a small spring roll with peanut sauce… really good. I think this might have been a special for their opening, but might still be doing that. I have been here a few times and they have a pretty decent menu selection. The phở is really good, and the rice dishes are great too. I asked for nuoc mam as a dipping sauce with the rice dishes. That is how I like it. They also have the hot chili sauce that is common with vietnamese food if you like that. I have also had their sandwiches to go a few times and they are good to. They have jalapenos, so don’t be surprised when you get a bit of something hot in the sandwich, but you can ask for it with out jalapenos if you don’t want that. Sweet potato fries came with the sandwich when I ate in for lunch, and they were quite tasty! Nice change from typical french fries. Over all, I think the place is great!

Ate here with a couple of my girlfriends after the gym, and this place was better than I has expected! Their chicken fresh rolls were really good and not dry. I ordered the Basil Combo which is a rice dish with a variety of meat! It wasn’t bad at all. Their mango salad was deeeeelicious! Their TAP water tastes really gross so I asked for hot tea. I’ve only been here once and I might just come back again to try more dishes. It’s a very clean restaurant, something I am huuuuuge about.

Their Phở is seriously the best broth I’ve ever had … I could live on it! Any pork dish is crazy tasty … very lean as well.

i had the bun bo hue(spicy noodle soup) and it was so bland, there wasnt a whole lot of flavor in it, also there wasnt that much noodles and there was only a few slices of beef, not worth it at all! my boyfriend got a rice dish, the basil special, that came with Combination of grilled pork chop, beef short ribs, Chinese sausage, charbroiled shrimps, sunny side up egg, over steamed rice. Everything was excellent, the beef short ribs was flavorful, the shrimp & pork chop was good, the only problem was there wasn’t enough rice. my friend got the Ph Tái(Sliced steak noodle soup) and like my spicy noodle soup it had no flavor, bland, taste like water my friend said. Seems like this place have good rice dishes but not so good soup dishes.

So I like to try new restaurants and the other day I felt like getting some vietnamese food… in Tukwila especially around the mall area there aren’t many… there’s one in the mall and What the Phở which I thought was good but I would downgrade my star to 3 after coming here… the atmosphere was very nice and clean… I had the«bun» noodle dish and although they don’t give you as much noodles as other places I have to say it was just enough since I usually don’t eat all the noodles at other places… they seem to have a special every month to drawn in customers and this month it was a fresh roll… nothing special but hey it was free :) Overall I would come here again to try their Phở… the service was excellent!

I’ve never posted before, but after eating at this place, I had to. I’ve only stuck with the rice dishes so far, but everything I’ve had has been amazing. The food is really fresh and has great flavor. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone in the area.
