Quick eats for a quick trip into town. Fresh, but Cajun fish was OVER cooked. Fries and chowder was good. Fish IS the reason and dryer must pay more attention. Been coming to Ivars for 30+, would like to be able to rely on this location. Staff was congenial, organized and efficient.

I like clam chowder. It is creamy and tasty.
I also like fried cod with Tartar sauce. It is Crispy and fresh fish. Good place to grab fish and chips.

Kids meal had a sharp fish bone. Luckily my kid did not choke. They advertise saying surprise with kids meal but they NEVER GIVE until u mention. Horrible

Everyone that works here is clearly a team. Manager looking over and making sure all is well. Perfect service. Fast. Very efficient process for a congested mall. Extremely friendly. Each tray is given ketchup and tartar no need to ask. Very good place to eat when you are in a hurry.

Every time I come here I receive terrible service. They’re always short tempered, never patient and the very last time I came here I wasn’t even greeted and she continued to stock while I waited. It wasn’t even busy. Then she approached me with attitude like it was inconvenient for her to help me. So I figured I’d spend my money someplace where they actually want it. I get that Ivars is a place for high school students to make money, but it really doesn’t hurt to crack a smile once in awhile and it doesn’t take a lot of energy to be genuine for a few seconds that you’re working with someone. I’m definitely going to make it a habit to avoid this place now matter how badly I crave fish tacos or clam chowder.

Fish and chips and clam chowder were amazing !! My shrimp was undercooked and they didn’t clean them so they were brown and disgusting looking …, good service

I give this place 2 stars mainly because the guys are always nice when I walk by. So I decided to try it but ended not trying it because The lady at the front had horrible service. I asked her can I order a fish sandwich and substitute the fries for chowder she said «no we don’t sub «not smiling just looking frustrated and didn’t offer any other option and left me standing there like I was dumb. I said «ok» Then I ask can I just order the fish sandwich by itself with no fries she said «no «and look around me as if I was wasting her time looking for the next customer so i slowly backed up embarrassed. I under stands if that’s the rule the owner give you but still treat me with respect and offer something else because I’ve clearly I’ve never been there before she diffidently didn’t want my business. I’ll never go there if I see her working NEVER.

Craving fish & chips. Ordered the regular style. The fish was missing the great taste from before. The fries were a bit soggy.
Cashier was ok.
Eating in the mall food court is not my first choice for food, and the options aren’t great at Southcenter Mall.
The chairs aren’t comfortable either.

I’m glad there is an Ivar’s at the Southcenter food court. The fish and chips are solid, as well as any fried seafood choice, really.
My biggest issue is that it’s pricey, and it’s a little inconvenient to have to keep going back up to ask for more condiments. But that comes with the territory of shopping mall food courts, I guess.

as much as I love ivars, this location is a miss.
I ordered a bowl of soup only and it was $ 6.12. prices are higher here in the mall.
the soup was SO watered down. it tasted okay but nothing like other ivars I have had. and the soup was barely lukewarm.
I will not come here again. very disappointing!

My husband loves this place for the chowder, I think its okay, but I really enjoy their seafood and chips platter thing, its yummy, I enjoy particularly the friend clams… mmm so different and yummy. But the staff is always friendly and its pretty fast, but another thing to mention is they make your fried items fresh, at least we have always had to wait a little for the fried items. but its always piping hot and yummy. =)

I always like Ivar’s. but the people (workers) in this location is rude. I got 4 piece fish and chips with shrimp cocktail and they give me only 1 tartar sauce and 1 ketchup. I went over to ask for one more they threw the sauce in the bag. Rudeness!

Made a quick stop and got a small bowl of their clam chowder to go. It was exactly what I expected but a bit pricey for the amount I got ($ 4 for a small…). Satisfied my chowder craving…

Very friendly service and surprisingly upscale for a food court establishment. I had the kids’ size fish and chips (2 pieces fish) and thought the fish was all right. The chips were sort of bland. I would’ve liked more crisp to the chips. However, I still enjoyed my food and appreciated that Southcenter Mall had options in addition to Subway/Panda/McD’s/Taco Bell/​repeat.

What the dizzle? Chowder at the mall? Heck yes!
Soup came out as I was putting my change away– FAST! I also got a $ 1 deep fried clams «side” — are you really offering me seafood for a dolla? Irresistible. I took turns alternating between the tartar and ketchup dip for the clams and it was perfect. Chowder was okay, still on the search for the perfect one!
Great noontime meal to recharge my batteries for shopping, part two. Southcenter mall is no joke. put on yo’ running shoes, cuz it is HUGE. Okay, I digress.

If you are craving fish & chips while shopping at Southcenter, this Ivar’s location will do. It’s speedy and the service is better than most at a food court.
Friendliness and cleanliness count a lot and it’s even more so when there’s a crowd. A little acknowledgment while serving a hungry crowd was what I witnessed.
I had their 3 piece true cod meal that came with choice of chowder and beverage. $ 10 wasn’t bad for the combo meal. I had a Coke and my relative a Numi organic Jasmine Green tea.
Call me crazy but I do think it’s cool that a local Northwest fish & chip place offers organic tea. Some people disdain cold beverages so having a nice hot one, organic and natural vs. mass produced Lipton, is a classy touch for a lackluster food court location.
