Stopped in the Southcenter Mall for lunch after our flight in from LA. I’ve heard a lot about the legendary Ivar’s in Seattle. However, I was a little skeptical b/c of it being in a mall food court… My fears were confirmed after getting my meal. Here were the low-lights:
Two-piece fish and chips: Nothing special. Fish was not flavorful and the outer crunchiness you want from fish and chips was glaringly absent. I’ve had better at H. Salt…
Cup of New England Clam chowder: Now we use the word «clam» here lightly as I could find only bits and pieces of clam in the chowder. Campbell’s canned soup gives bigger pieces of clam…

I was on break from work and got a
simple shrimp basket from here .
it was alright for the $ 7.00 price nothing really to get excited about .
the fries seemed a little over cooked and the breading on the shrimp
was not that crunchy .
then again it is food court food here.

I love Ivar’s but I didn’t like waiting 10 minutes for my food when I’m the only one in line! Did you have to catch and kill the crab and then wait for the chicken to lay the egg before making my crab breakfast sandwich?

Gimme a 3-piece and it’s happy camper time. Just make sure to lick yer fingers instead of wiping them off with a napkin.
