Five stars for this great store. I walked in here today limping. A couple of months ago I broke my hip, and despite all my hard work in physical therapy, I could not shake the limp. A young gal, named Rachel Ayers fitted me with some walking shoes. I won’t put down the brand because it’s probably very focused on the individual. Anyway, I put them on, started walking and said, «OMG, I’m not limping any more!!» I was actually walking the way I did before the injury! I must have walked around the store for 15 minutes marveling at my wonderful walking. Not only did I buy the shoes and wear them out of the store, but I bought a duplicate pair for when the first ones wore out. I should mention that I could not find anything equivalent, or staff as sharp, in the store two doors down starting with an «N».

We are seniors and have spent hundreds of dollars trying to find a good insole and quality shoe for my husband. He has issues with walking due to his arches. We heard about this company and thought we would give it a try. WOW, what a surprise. We were welcomed by MARISSA, she is excellent. gave us all the time we needed to truly find the right fit! she tried many insoles and made sure that my husband found the fit to be great! She spent well over 1 hour with us. She is so professional. really knows about arches and what is best for you to have healthy feet and arches. We are so happy we went here. Will defiantly return. I noticed they have over 200 stores. YES. this is the BEST shoe store. others just want to rip you off for several hundreds of dollars. Give Walking Company a try, you will be glad you did. and there prices are very reasonable. Thank you Marissa for making my husband enjoy walking again without the pain. you are WONDERFUL.

So I decided that if I wanted to be comfortable at work being on my feet all day, I better just drop the dough and get some good shoes. I have knee pain and plantar fasciitis, so I wanted an expert to help me pick some good shoes, and then maybe get orthotics if needed. The sales gentleman there was working alone, and was juggling 3 customers including me with no problem. He helped me pick out and try on about 10 pairs of shoes, and I found a pair that fits me great and keeps me comfortable at work. I will definitely be back to get orthotics if needed, and also to get some cute and comfortable sandals for summer.

Walked in and got some sandals appropriate for my high arches and swollen pregnant feet– it cost alot. At least I got sandals(besides flip flops) that I can put on while pregnant. Flip flops are the devil and if you don’t think so yet, you are lucky not to have foot problems. Service was great. I don’t usually like shoes here, they can be very«therapeutic» looking. Its’a great alternative to Clarks or Nordstrom– for high quality shoes and service when needed.

I came here to buy new insoles for my shoes. The insoles I had were also purchased from The Walking Company but had worn out. They didn’t have both a left and right side of the exact same insole but they did have a similar insole that was a little cheaper. Score! They also had the same pair of shoes I was wearing on clearance. The only size they had was my size so I purchased the shoes too. Top all that off with a military discount and I did pretty well and left with happier feet. When I originally purchased my insoles they had me step on a computerized foot scanner thingy that read how my feet were shaped and suggested the right insoles. The insoles it selected for me worked well. I have a history of planar fasciitis so proper support is critical.

We bought my husband a pair of work shoes at this store for $ 135 dollars. He wore them three times and the left shoe was digging a hole in his heal. We tried to take them back and exchange them for a pair that didn’t put a hole in his heal and the lady helping us was extremely rude and snobby! She told him the problem was not the shoe, but the fact that he was wearing cotton socks. That she could not take them back because he had worn them(3 times) and then tried to sell him a 70 dollar pair of shoe inserts. Give me a break! I called the company directly, they told me it was most likely a manufacturing defect, I took them to the Walking Company in Seattle and they exchanged them no problem. Pretty sad when you have to search all over town for customer service.

I had a great experience at this store. I was in the market for some new work shoes and first tried Nordstrom, but the sales assistant could only find one real work shoe and I didn’t like them. She insisted they just took«getting used to» but that’s just not good enough for me. Because I work on my feet all day AND walk to/ride the bus I need really good work shoes. Feeling a little discouraged I left the Nordstrom and thankfully, saw The Walking Company and decided to check it out. Lara was the sales associate in the store and was such a big help. First off, I stood on the machine they have that measures your feet. In addition to finding out my exact shoe size, Lara was also able to tell a bunch of other information from the scans of my feet. She recommended a shoe but I had to leave the store and head to work. After an eight hour shift I went back to The Walking Company but Lara was helping someone else. But she remembered me, and my size, and the shoe I was going to try on. Kris, the other sales associate there helped me out. I didn’t end up getting those exact shoes, but Kris was a big help in finding the perfect shoes for me. She even rubbed some Beezwax on then, since I was wearing them out. The customer service here was amazing. Not only were they friendly and helpful, but I didn’t feel like they were pushing shoes on me that I didn’t want. They both seemed to genuinely want to help me find good work shoes. And now I’ve been wearing them for weeks and I still love them. Best part? The shoes I got at The Walking Company cost less than the ones at Nordstrom!
