This place brings back memories. As a teenager in the 80’s, TCBY was one of two frozen yogurt chains(the other was I Can’t Believe It’s Yogurt). None were self-serve, of course, but thanks to the recent self-serve fro-yo craze over the past 6 or so years TCBY has finally converted to self-serve. I was happy to see some of the flavors I grew up with such as White Chocolate Mousse, Golden Vanilla, Mountain Blackberry, and White Chocolate Macadamia Nut as well as newer flavors like Red Velvet, Caramel, and Italian Tart. They even offer a non-dairy Coconut flavor made with Silk Coconut Milk. This location offers 10 flavors on rotation, so there is always something new arriving. The price of the yogurt is $ 0.51 per ounce which is the most expensive of anyone in the area. Most places average $ 0.45-$ 0.48 per ounce. They also offer shakes for a flat rate of $ 4.99. Fill the cup with yogurt and toppings and they’ll blend it with milk or fruit juice depending on the flavors you choose. There is also a discount for military and seniors as well as a loyalty card for returning guests. The toppings bar is not as big as most of the yogurt shops I usually go to, but that’s probably due to the size of this location and the fact that it’s location in the mall with minimal space. There are just over two dozen toppings which consist of various fruit, candy, nuts, and syrups. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the store is clean. Toppings looked fresh, but the texture of the yogurt was a little icy. At any rate, it’s the yummy TCBY yogurt I remember and it’s nice to be able to do it myself and make my own creation.

This can’t be yogurt! At least that’s what I would have said 30 years ago haha. The employees here were super friendly when I visited, and the coloring pages are really cute!

Awesome place they got propped up in the corner location of the mall! I was surprised by their flavors, since they had a lot of tangy fruit flavors going on. I sampled the Juicy Peach and the Ruby Red which were both pretty awesome, but decided to settle for the GRAPEFRUITSORBET. I mean come on, I’ve never SEEN Grapefruit frozen yogurt, so I just had to! ANDITWASFREAKIN’ AWESOME! They have also coconut jelly sides! Which is nice since a lot of places don’t. I also threw in my usual mochi pieces and called it good :)

When I was little before the age of self-serve froyo joints, there used to be a TCBY that was very similar to Baskin Robbins, except they specialized in soft-serve ice cream and frozen yogurt. Actually, TCBYWAS my first ever experience with frozen yogurt. My favorite had always been the white chocolate mousse… and actually, I think that that’s the only flavor I ever ordered from there. So when froyo places like Red Mango and Yogurtland opened up, I was so confused as to why froyo was so tart! And during my first experience with these chains, I always wondered why I had to get my froyo myself. Well, I guess times have changed and the trend is to have the machines out, serve yourselves, and pay by the ounce. People would rather make their own artful mess with a cup of froyo and toppings than be served like dessert goodness like royalty. Luckily, TCBY picked up on this, jumped on the same bandwagon and changed to a self-service as well because now I think they can compete with other froyo chains. And yes!!! Now I can have as little or as much white chocolate mousse froyo topped with a little or a LOT of rainbow sprinkles as I want! SUGARRUSH!

Not bad but not super delicious… Pros? –Lots of flavors and toppings to choose from –Reasonable prices Cons? –Well, it’s just another yogurt place… nothing special

We spotted this TCBY from the upper level of the mall and squealed! We knew we had found our joint! :p Preface this by saying: we had walked from the crêpe place, to red mango to Ben and Jerry’s but just could not find what we wanted to dessert on. EUREKA! I had the White Chocolate Mousse, while my friend got a 3-flavor variety. This location only has about 15 – 25 toppings, but they had something I had never seen… WARM… GOOEY… WALNUTS! what??? Turns out it is just maple syrup and walnuts and heated. so good…

I did not really have more then a taste of someones frozen yogurt but it was still enough to tell me ha it was really good . you can chose your flavor and your toppings and then pay for it by weight at the end . this pretty much say it all about alot of the frozen yogurt place now days almost any where you go . I don’t know with out tasting more of the place like this what sets Tcby off from the others so I will just have to find out
