Location inconspicuous right next to taco bell. Ordered combination vegetable which I would rate 3.75 stars and the number 4 which comprised of broccoli beef, orange chicken, and pork fried rice for almost $ 8. All three deserved 3 stars. The vegetables had a very mild descent flavor and was not overcooked. 3 stars for the over battered chicken and the slightly burnt fried rice. The broccoli beef was okay. nothing stood out about it. I have been to almost all the Chinese restaurant in tulare and visalia and have yet to find one that even comes close to 4 stars.

I started going to this place in High School. I’ve since been fortunate enough to travel around the U.S. And have tried a variety of Chinese restaurants. I’ve since learned that all along I’ve been chasing the Chinese food I grew up with. 10 years later the recipe has not changed. Small family business with great customer service. Always cooked to order even the chow mien and the fried rice. I’m a huge fan of their combination A, soft noodle. Comes with pork mien, fried rice and ship with their homemade sweet and sour.

I go here every once in a while for lunch. I always get the student special since I go to TU. You can call ahead if time and by the time you get there they will have your food ready, the food tastes great and the prices aren’t bad.

We go to China Garden any time we are doing Chinese take out. The sweet and sour pork and mu shu pork are both outstanding, and the Jiang’s are very friendly.

I have been eating at China Garden for over 20 years, so obviously they must be doing something very right. Sandy and Tony have poured their hearts into their food and it shows. I love the potstickers, and their lemon chicken is a family favorite. I am looking forward to many more years of great food. A fine example of one of my guiding principles, that smaller ‘hole-in-the-wall’ eateries can surprise you with some of the best food. Definitely worth checking out.

My family and I were in Tulare, CA for a track meet. Being from Los Angeles with some of the best restaurants in the world, we were concerned about where to eat. We used Unilocal to help us find Chinese food. Thank you Mike G for writing your review! We would have driven past this restaurant and not stopped. It was in an old Taco Bell building next to a Taco Bell. Inside wasn’t much better. but we trust Unilocal reviews. It was delicious! We had Shrimp Fried Rice, an easy dish. Portion was great. However when we placed our order, they told us there was not a lot of shrimp in it(approx. 10). So we added more. It was good. No peas, carrots or onions. Just shrimp and rice. We also had the Wor Won Ton soup, it was okay. The fried shrimp appetizers(12 pieces) and egg rolls were divine. Hot, delicious and not too greasy. We also had the orange chicken, couldn’t get it made with white meat, hence the 3 star rating. Lastly, we had the shrimp and broccoli. The shrimp were clean and broccoli very fresh. Overall a good dish.

I go here for lunch frequently. It’s definitely not a fancy place. I bring my food back to my office to eat but they have seating for 3 – 4 groups. They have really good Kung Pow Chicken and their War Won Ton soup is right on. Prices are very reasonable and the amount of food is generous. Sandy and Tony are always friendly and happy to see you.
