This workout challenged every muscle fiber in my body. I I feel like within the hour class I got at least a week’s worth of exercise. The instructors are great and help you out if you need it. Male or female, check it out for your next workout session!

You know what I love? Efficiency. You know what I love even more after having a baby? Double/triple efficiency. You know what I REALLY love? PURE BARRE!
In one hour every part of my body was stretched and challenged. Really… I think even my pinky toe is toned!
First off, the studio is BEAUTIFUL AND SO COOL! When you walk in they have some workout apparel and accessories for sale. You can tell they are intentional about what they sell. Every piece is high quality — I am loving my new ALO pants. Stretchy pants all day er’day.
When class begins they start with getting our heart rates up before working on every muscle group. The instructors are so cool, kind and genuinely care as they help you with perfecting form. My love/hate favorite sequence has to go to the thigh work. I struggle with finding a balance of a workout that doesn’t bulk me up hulk style but still building strength.
Pure Barre delivers a lean strength to your body — your whole body! So thankful for this efficient workout that is perfect for any fitness level.

Obsessed with these classes!!! The workout has a set format that you’ll quickly become familiar with the more you come, but the exercises continually change which keeps every class fresh. The awesome instructors ensure you get the most out of the workout and avoid incorrect form/injury by delivering individual hands on corrections. A completely judgement free space, super trendy and energizing music, wide selection of class times, and a supportive community of likeminded women who help you become your best self. It’s as addictive as it sounds and you won’t regret trying a class!

Thanks to the wonderful free workout classes at Guthrie Green, I had the chance to try out Pure Barre once there and then another time at their studio.
First, the studio is immaculate. It’s so well cleaned and taken care of. You instantly feel welcomed and at ease. It feels posh and almost spa-like…which what girl wouldn’t love that?!
I’ll be the first to admit that I am not at all flexible. I’m a runner and was in the Army for almost a decade; I can ruck 15 miles with almost 50 pounds of extra gear but I cannot «give it one more inch.» Because my lack of dancer physique, I felt woefully inadequate compared to those around me and the instructors. I felt the class was made for a certain person and not for those who haven’t danced their whole lives. I hung in there and did enjoy some of the workout, particularly the seat work which I found very challenging and effective, but left knowing I would not come back.
When I compared Pure Barre to Barre3, I would choose Barre3 any day. I didn’t find the repetition of «you tuck, you tuck, you tuck» that motivating and even had to sigh during the final stretches when an instructor kept trying to get me to «reach one more inch». I did appreciate how they went around the studio and corrected the forms of the participants (which was really helpful when you have no idea what you’re doing), but overall, I won’t be signing up for any further classes. It just wasn’t the right workout for me, but it may be perfect for others. I’ll stick with my long distance running and weight lifting classes instead.

Pure barre is a full body workout that targets all of our problem areas! If you’re looking for a difficult workout that’s low impact on joints, this workout is perfect for you! Pure barre targets the deepest areas of your muscles that I didn’t even know existed! It’s a real mind-body connection and after a few classes, don’t be surprised if you’re addicted to the burn :)

First visit to the Barre experience and it was great! Not for the faint-hearted soul, however! No ballerina stretching to classical music; rigorous all-body workout. I’ll definitely try to make it a regular part of my exercise routine!
