Perfect place for authentic Mexican food. This is my go-to spot for late night tacos. The chips and queso are great, I especially enjoy the cabesa and lingua tacos. Highly recommend this place.

Every time we are in Tulsa, we always try hitting up Tacos Don Francisco. The customer is good, food is cheap and they’re always quick. I recommend the carne asada and lengua tacos. Great flavor. Warning: the building looks sketchy but if you can get passed that you won’t regret it.

Being from southern California, I would like to think I know good tacos and these were nothing short of great. They lacked a little sauce but I think you could ask for more(we didn’t try). We ordered a variety: asada, al pastor, and LENGUA. for those that don’t know what lengua is or ever tried lengua, it’s beef tongue. it’s probably the most tender part of the cow that i’ve ever eaten when prepared correctly and Don Francisco has got this process down pat. It was moist and so flavorful that adding sauce took away from the flavor. The other meats were as good as they are in socal but the lengua stood out to me. If ever in the area, I’d highly recommend this place. Don’t expect much in terms of ambiance but they do not disappoint when it comes to flavor.

This place was good. The tacos were a bit smaller than I’m used to. I wish the lengua and Asada could’ve been cooked longer on the grill because they were a bit cold.

This place is EVERYTHING!!! The lingua tacos are incredibly tender and flavorful. Easily, without question, hands-down, the very best tacos in Tulsa.

Terrible customer service. They charged me for two $ 6.50 burritos when I ordered two $ 1.50 tacos. When I asked for a refund for at least one of the burritos, the lady said there was nothing she could do about it. Was very rude and called me a liar, when I had 6 people with me telling her she heard me wrong. Not a great experience.

This is a perfect spot for late night eating for several reasons: –It’s open until midnight during the week and 4am on the weekends! –The variety of taco choices is vast, and they are only $ 1.50/ea, so you can get just the right amount of food you want –There are many items on the menu to cater to your group of friends who no doubt want food as well this time of night. –The food is made to order, but it’s pretty quick and very good –The location is close to downtown, so after bar-close, this is a great option Come and try a variety of tacos, the smothered burrito, made to order guacamole, queso, or any number of items: it’s all good.

I will say looks super sketchy from the outside and I was very hesitant to go in, but it was actually good food! I was highly surprised, especially for it being 2am in the morning. That is apparently the best time to go to because there were lots of people there. There is not the best of seating, so it’s hard to seat groups bigger than 4. Now for the food, which I am sure you all want to know about, I had the chicken quesadilla and my group shared queso, guacamole, and salsa and everything was good. I can’t say anything stood out as being exceptional, but I would go back(after a few drinks or not :))

Best food we found on our trip from Texas to Tulsa!!! The food was wonderful, the case there was great, after our dinner we even got tacos to go! The restaurant itself was a little small but all in all good food

Classic, authentic Mexican. The food at Tacos Don is amazing no matter what time of day it is! They have meats you don’t find at most mainstream or Americanized chains… like buche, tripe and lengua! They also serve classic dishes such as menudo. You cant go wrong with anything you pick there. The outside doesn’t look like much, but just go with it…

the definition of «hole-in-the-wall» also I assume this would be the best drunk craving in town. I HIGHLY suggest the Tacos al pastor with a massive Styrofoam cup of Horchata. Cheap and delicious what more can you want? PS don’t come here with a large party and expect to sit together…

This really is likely the best Mexican restaurant in Tulsa. It is open super late and the food is amazing. The people who are saying things about the décor are being ridiculous. This is not a fancy sit down place, it’s where you go to get good, cheap authentic Mexican food, often while late and blitzed and jonesing for canitas and horchata. Do not come here if you generally think Taco Bell is good Mexican or you want to go eat in. There is space for that, but it is often so busy that space is taken by those waiting to leave with their food.

Best Mexican in town. Period. But it’s not fancy. Try a cabesa or lingua burrito or carnitas taco. Perfection.

In the battle for what I call Tulsa’s best tacos I say this place comes in just behind number 1. They have a lot of options on the menu and the place is clean inside. If you arent used to these kinds of places though you might think it was kind of dumpy. New flash for you folks. It is a small taco shop not a corporate giant. They spend their money on the food and ingredients and it shows. I had a carnitas taco, lengua taco and an asada gordita. All of them were excellent. I wish they served salsas with their food, but I guess they figure not everyone wants it. Oh well. The food and prices are great.

Pros: My family and I were pretty excited about trying out this taco place. Our old tradition was going to the Children’s Museum and then grabbing a bite to eat at Z’s Taco Shop. Now that Z’s has shuttered its doors, we had to find a new place. This one was only 4 miles from the museum and got great Unilocal reviews. The pictures looked good, so we all agreed to come here. My husband was so intrigued that he rushed the kids through their play and we only stayed at the museum for an hour. The carne asada was decent. Accepts credit card. Cons: Minus a star for the food. Queso blanco was flavorless(this was even after I added 2 peppers to it). They had those thick chips that is flavored by Cali-Max or Sonoran Mex restaurants. I prefer Tex Mex style chips and I guess my kids do too. The tacos al pastor were soggy. The chicken was dry. Minus a star for the cleanliness and lack of deco. This one was dirtier than the shops I visited in Mexico. Green bugs crawling on the cash register. Flies buzzing around our food. We cleaned our own table and seats. Front room with more bugs than back room. Back room dimly lit and had odd smell. Minus a star for the value. Coming from Texas, I’m used to hole in the wall taco places with super cheap prices. In comparison, this place was pricy. $ 1.50 each taco?!? Minus a star for the $ 5 minimum to use credit card! Small parking lot. So really, this place should get 0 stars, but Unilocal won’t allow me to do that.

I’ve been here before but didn’t pay attention to the name because I was riding along with someone when they took me here. When I came on my own, it came to mind. Both visits, were good. With street tacos at $ 1.50 a pop, where can you go wrong? I got 4 tacos: 2 chicken, chorizo & beef. All good. No onions(of course), cilantro & lime. Perfection. I enjoyed the chorizo the most because it was slightly crispy, which it how I like when I’m having it for breakfast. The service was super fast & the biggest advantage is that they’re usually open till 4am! Outside of the service being quick, if you don’t want to wait on a long line, don’t go after 2am like I did.

Stopped in after work to try the carne asada tacos. This looks to be another one of those street vendors that has given up their truck and opened in a retail space. The taco’s were served fast, hot, and with a lime slice and a cooked jalapeño. I found the meat to be juicy and flavorful and the pico as well. The store it’s self looks like it was furnished from the goodwill version of a store fixture place and looked grimy. All in all not a bad place to pop in and grab a bite, you just wouldn’t want to hang out afterwards.
