Amazing menu and handcrafted cocktails. This was one of the first places I stopped in to in Tulsa, and was immediately won over. I’ve been to my fair share of cocktail bars and this stacks up against any of them. Well done Tulsa.

They. have. absinthe. That’s my drink of choice when I visit this fine hipster establishment.

This wasn’t a place I would have ended up at on my own, but recently I joined some friends for a quick stop into Valkyrie. Wow! I was impressed immediately by the warm and cozy ambiance marked by classy décor and overflowing professionalism. The menu is certainly interesting– offering up different ways to arrive at the drink of your dreams. The flavors of the two drinks I tried were very impressive. The Skylark left me wondering how the flavors combined in the way they did, with the anise being a perfect adornment to the concoction. I’d certainly be back frequently in the future if I lived near downtown.

Uninhibited space where mixologists create magic for friends and strangers. Place has a strong sense of community and kinship. Perfect lighting and attentive staff. Fresh ingredients. Interesting directions. Unexpected surprise.

How this place is not listed in the best bourbon bars in the USA is beyond me? Me = born & raised in Lexington KY. I like bourbon. Love bourbon. Its in my blood. Serious. The bourbons available to drink(& I hate to say, the scotch & whiskeys too) are vast & deep. Unique finds. How the guys behind the bar intimately know all the bottles & mixes is either frightening(from an owners cost perspective) or beautiful(since knowledge seems that important to them)? I will stick with frighteningly beautiful. lol Now of course, this place is not billed as a bourbon spot. It is a place that blends skillful artistry & fine spirits, to showcase level. Melding sophistication, hip(yes I said hip) & non-pretense in one fn sharp way. Attn store owner: We need to open your second store in Dallas TX. Call me.

This place has such a cool vibe and the drinks are great! They have big seating areas and seems perfect for groups, although the vibe is more laid back. They also serve snacks from a nearby bakery, but I didn’t try any. I like the craftsmanship that goes into each drink, and it’s so mesmerizing to watch each drink being assembled. This isn’t an in and out sort of bar, so don’t rush. Sit back and enjoy!

I keep rewriting this review because somehow my description of Valkyrie makes it sound like cocktail snob hangout, but it’s not. Granted, someone very particular about mixology would love Valkyrie, the attention to detail, the obscure ingredients, and unique drink menu offerings. But I love Valkyrie because I’m not a cocktail snob and I still feel welcome there. I always find a new drink to enjoy and I usually learn something. Plus, who can resist a weekly haiku? We usually go when it’s not super busy and the bartenders are always glad to answer questions and consistently make good suggestions as to what I should try.

If you are looking for a great place to grab a drink, this is one of the best Tulsa has to offer! The bartenders don’t just mix drinks, they craft them. Their cocktails are a work of art! Try the mojito or the Moscow Mule. You won’t be disappointed. Food is limited to just a few appetizers, so don’t come hungry.

I am as impressed with the fellas behind the bar as the drinks they mix up. Had the Shrute of All Evil and the Oak-aged Falling Soldier. Both were excellent!

If you’re looking for an exceptional drink, you’ve found your location. The mixologist really do know their stuff. I enjoy the setup of the place and how easy it is to get a drink. I didn’t enjoy the attitude the staff took when we came in with a large group. They gave us a lot of dirty looks and seemed put-out that they had to serve us. They ended up bringing us our drinks(they were great) and we went on our way. I chopped it up to maybe it was a rough day for them and went back again. Again, the staff gave off a rude vide and seemed put-out. Chances are I’ll be back but hopefully this next time there’s a better vide in the room when I go.

Drinks here are exceptional. One of my favorite mixology bars with a great location in the Brady District. Bartenders take the time to make the drinks perfectly. Staff is VERY knowledgeable about their drinks! I highly recommend this spot.

I’m just so shocked at the hand-crafted cocktail scene here in Tulsa. It’s fabulous and Valkyrie is at the top of the list for top-notch cocktails. Very little food or nibbles to be had … So lay your foundation prior to the liquor. :) Drinks are second to none.

Fun little bar downtown Tulsa. Great cocktails, friendly staff and reasonable prices. They have a decent beer menu and the place is decorated very cool and hip. Loved their wall of liquor, you can spend a long time just looking at how many bottles they have. This place is perfect for a date or to bring a group of friends to have a conversation, I loved the fact that it was not super loud, but then again I came on a Saturday at 8PM so maybe the loudness starts later.

Making your way in the world today takes everything you’ve got. Taking a break from all your worries sure would help a lot. Wouldn’t you like to get away? All those nights when you’ve got no lights… the check is in the mail. And your little angel hung the cat up by it’s tail. And your third fiancé didn’t show. Sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name. And they’re always glad you came. You want to be where you can see our troubles are all the same. You want to be where everybody knows your name. Rolled out of bed, Mr. Coffee’s dead. The morning’s looking bright. And your shrink ran off to Europe and didn’t even write. And your husband wants to be a girl. Be glad there’s one place in the world where everybody knows your name. And they’re always glad you came. You want to go where people know, people are all the same. You want to go where everybody knows your name.

For my money, this is the best bar in the Brady District and maybe the best in Tulsa. Our bartender was extremely nice and well versed in cocktail goodness. I gave him a liquor and said surprise me and he came back with one of the best cocktails I’ve ever had. He also told me the story of its inception in New York and the people who invented it. The prices are a little steep, but it’s well worth it for the knowledgable staff and excellent atmosphere.

This place is pretty near perfect. What can they NOT make? The only drawback is the place can get busy on the weekend and you have to wait a while for a drink.

So. Much. Greatness. On. Tap. I found my favorite beer here on the recommendation of the bartender. In fact, I’ve been unable to find it anywhere else. But knowing they have it, even if its just temporary, makes me want come back over and over. The inside was also really cool, especially for a small group. We all sat around a table in a square booth up on a stage area. It was extremely conducive for conversation, but with a good view of the bar in case you needed a server for another beer or cocktail. The only thing that made the experience less than perfect was our particular server, who was kind of snippy and short… the others were nice though. I’ll give the benefit of the doubt, maybe he was just having a bad night. Other than that, definitely two thumbs way up!

This unique little lounge is in a nice area of town. I liked how it was set up, very communal seating and great for groups. I left my wallet that had my ID with my friend who was coming to meet us here. When I told the bartender he was fine with it for the most part but asked me two more times where they were over a 15-minute period. He kind of freaked out after the last time despite being told by multiple other people, which he knew personally, that I was well over 21. I understand this implications legally, but he could have been more mature. Luckily they came about 60 seconds after this but he didn’t handle the situation well at all. I probably would have liked the bar more but how he handled that situation left a bad taste in my mouth.

If this isn’t the greatest bar in Oklahoma, it surely is in Tulsa! If you are looking for foo foo swirly drinks or a place to drink beer and watch a ball game, this is not the place for you. They do serve beer and wine but the forte is clearly the cocktail. All the bar staff are VERY knowledgeable and mix a very fine drink. The scene is a bit trendy and hipster but no one is out of place. Great place to make new friends too The Sazerac alone should earn 6 stars My new watering hole in Tulsa for many years to come… see you there
