We needed them to check our furnace and check a vent. We are in process of selling our home and the buyers inspector said we needed some vent replaced. These guys checked on it and said it was fine no repair needed. Other places would have tried to make the extra buck, these guys were honest. The buyers decided to get a second opinion and that hvac company said the same. Very honest company would definitely recommend.

Mike is by far the most helpful, honest, reliable and knowledgeable service technician I’ve had the pleasure to have in my home. Seriously. There’s a reason this guy has a key to our house in case of emergencies, he’s that solid. He’s been great on everything from furnaces to water heaters, and always goes out of the way to explain all problems and their possible solutions, even if those solutions don’t make him a dime. I could go on but I think I made my point, you can’t go wrong with Gasworks.

Just as the other reviewers have shared, Mike is helpful and very honest. After reading the reviews, and speaking with him on the phone today, I’m impressed.
I called Mike to get a quote on having our heat exchanger replaced on our 21 year old furnace, something I was fully ready to do. After speaking with Mike for a bit, he helped me determine that our furnace is no longer in warranty, towards the end of it’s life cycle, and not really worth the cost of replacing the heat-​exchanger. Mike said the best thing for us to do, would be to put that money towards a new heater. Mike only does repairs, he doesn’t sell new machines, so he put my needs before his, and in the end Mike made nothing.
Mike went so far as to call me back later, with some other things to consider and other suggestions, which I appreciated. He already knew he wasn’t going to make any profit from me, but obviously Mike believes in great customer service first. A very rare quality in this day and age.
Mike’s the first guy I will call if I need service in the future. I highly recommend Gasworks Inc.

For trustworthy service, this is your guy. I admit I know nothing about gas water heaters but his kindness and service were unbeatable. I called Mike when I discovered my water heater valve leaking and he kindly guided me on how to fix it over the phone. Ironically, the next day my pilot light was out and I called again. Again, Mike talked me through it on the phone and called me back later that day to ask me if all was well. He could have come to my house and charged a service fee but he didn’t. He will definitely get my business when I need it.

Last night my furnace stopped working. As I have done in the past, I called Mike at Gasworks. After all, who else is more knowledgeable and more honest? Nobody!
Mike promptly returned my call within 20 minutes. It was 1 pm and he said he could be at my house later in the afternoon, but first he wanted to see if my problem could be resolved over the phone. He had me replace the batteries in my thermostat, check the electrical contacts on the thermostat for corrosion. Ok there. Then he had me turn on the fan switch to verify the furnace had electrical power. Oooops, no power to the furnace. Next, he had me place my ear on the furnace to see if I could detect a «hum» sound, another test for power. Another «no». Finally, he asked if the ‘emergency’ switch inside my house had accidentally been turned off. I checked it and it was in the off position. Mike told me to turn it on. That solved the furnace problem, but cut Mike out of his service call fee. That’s the honesty, integrity and competence you can expect from Gasworks.
Last year, Mike also replaced a heating element in a friend’s water heater when she had already ordered a replacement for hundreds of dollars. Mike’s fee was much, much less. Of course, she cancelled the order for the new water heater.
This man is a gem, a pro’s pro and a gentleman.

I have never been more impressed with the service, communication and honesty. I was without heat for two days, called him and he came right out. Despite spending a full day at our house, he only charged for what he felt was fair –as it took more work than he originally thought. I would highly recommend him to anyone at anytime. He is incredible and restored my faith in the service industry.

Called Mike for some work on my dryer. He showed on time, explained everything he was doing and why, tested and retested multiple times, stuck around to make sure everything was good, and then called later to make sure all was well! Are you kidding me?! Now THAT is customer service! Oh, and on the way out he said he keeps a list of plumbers, handymen, electricians, etc, should I need one. An uncharacteristic (for olympia) level of service and workmanship. Would recommend!

Called Mike at GasWorks when my furnace crapped out. He walked me through a couple of steps to perhaps fix the problem myself, thereby saving me a service call. Alas, the problem wasn’t so easily remedied. So he came by the following morning and within a half hour or so he had my furnace repaired. The part he needed, a circuit board (he showed me where the old one was fried), he had with him. He also performed a couple of diagnostic checkups — such as measuring CO emissions from the flue.
In comparing GasWorks with the large HVAC company I called last year when the furnace on the other side of the duplex we own crapped out, well, there is no comparison. GasWorks is much more affordable and the service is prompter. The other guys left me feeling that they were out to squeeze as much out of me as they could (by marking up the part waaay above suggested retail, for one thing, as Mike pointed out to me), whereas Mike left the impression that he was trying to get my furnace back up and running as inexpensively as he reasonably could.

A couple days after my prior contact with Gasworks, the furnace started crapping out again. After a couple weeks and a very cold night, I called Mike up again and he gave me some more advice — suggesting a thermostat replacement, which I could do myself and save the cost of his visit. I tried it but it didn’t fix the problem. Mike came out the next day, diagnosed the problem — an electrical part on our 30-​ish year old furnace, and he even had the part with him. Furnce fixed and good ever since. I owuld definitley use Gaasworks again.
