Jiffy Lube

These guys are scam beware!!! Oil change listed synthetic blend 62.99 bill invoice amount over 80 dollars asked why they told me because it was a 4×4 not certain why a 4×4 is more when changing the oil. Will definitely not return.

In and out in under 15 minutes — I barely had time to read the Kelly Clarkson interview in the Redbook in their waiting room. It helps that I was the only customer, but the crew was fast, friendly, and competent. They vacuumed my car, which was desperately needed, and walked me to and from my car for safety. Couldn’t have asked for better or faster service!
Was worth calling in advance to see how busy they were. I was driving from Seattle to Portland, and had tried one Jiffy Lube prior that told me there would be an hour wait. I decided to keep on my route and try another store, and this Tumwater shop was the right answer for sure!

I will be returning. The staff is outgoing and friendly; opening doors, pleases, and thank yous. Prices were reasonable and they got me in and out in a… Jiffy. ;)

Vehicle fluids were not topped off nor was vehicle vacuumed as promised. They failed to replace reminder sticker. Attempted to replace a headlight but gave up due to lack of training. Lost a mounting screw to air filter in the process. Failed to apply discount coupon. I’ve had two bad experiences now at this location, so blame me for returning. But don’t recommend you make the same mistake.

This is my absolute go to place to get my car serviced. The guys are friendly and informative and as a woman, I never feel taken advantage of. They make recommendations based on what shape my filters, wipers, fluids, etc. are in and honor whatever decision I make regarding my vehicle. I never feel pressured to spend more money, and I feel like I get a great value every time I go. I appreciate the knowledge they share with me and I don’t feel like I’m just a dollar sign to them.
I don’t get these other reviews that say they do services without consent or they overcharged them. Yes, I spend the extra for the good oil. I’d rather spend 100 bucks on car services to keep me running well, rather than buy a new car before I need to because I skimped and got the cheapo service.
Go see these guys in Tumwater. They are honest and will treat you well.

Worst place ever to get your car in… I didn’t last 10 min to notice that their employees are rude and they have not interest to have customers coming back. I hope this place change management soon… so far I stopped the work and left with my car… this place isn’t good at all.

I had my wife take our truck in to the Jiffy Lube, and she requested to only have an oil change. Jiffy Lube took advantage of her and charged a total of $ 79.11 for some bogus additional services that were not needed nor requested. In fact, they told her the exrtas were complementary services that were part of their standard oil changes. My wife was lied to by jiffy lube. Look here Jiffy Lube, I don’t need you to tell me if my lights or windshield wipers are bad. That is beyond unnecessary to charge someone for such a pointless service! Especially when the services were not asked for. We have regular maintenence done on our truck, but we only needed a quick oil change before a last minute road trip. All my wife requested was an oil change! Jiffy Lube! What the heck! She said «OIL CHANGE ONLY» You have now lost a customer for life, and I will be telling everyone in Tumwater about this experience. You are engaging in unethical business practices when you prey on the ignorance and kind nature of people. I can only assume that Jiffy Lube must be desperate for business to take advantage of people like that. On top of all this, I just got a coupon in the mail for a $ 29.99 oil change with jiffy lube. Go figure! I highly recommend everyone stays away from jiffy lube until they can clean up their bad habits of taking advantage of people. Also read the other Unilocal reviews on this jiffy lube. Can you tell who are the real customers and who is jiffy lube staff pretending to be real customers? It is really obvious, but I’ll give you a hint. Read the 5 star reviews that came right after mine. Again, jiffy lube is proving my point that they operate their business without honesty and integrity. Way to go guys.

I took my car here to get my oil changed before a trip to Oregon last year. They had a deal that they would change the oil, do a full check on the car and top off all the other fluids for about $ 40/​$ 50. I was thinking that it was a great deal and I thought that the attendants were really helpful and nice.
It was a super long wait and all the stale coffee and weird daytime PBS shows didn’t help. When I finally was checked out, the whole thing ended up costing $ 100 which was more than twice what the deal was. Turns out they added on windshield wipers (at half off, but I never approved them putting them in) and they charged me for a really expensive synthetic (I think) kind of oil in addition to the oil change.
Just because I am a woman AND came into an auto shop by myself does not mean I should be taken advantage of! I’m definitely not going back.

The only positive thing I can say is — I’m incredibly lucky that the damage that they did to my vehicle didn’t show up while I was driving down the freeway because my vehicle may have exploded and I wouldn’t be here to write this review to warn others.
Four days after I came in for an oil change and they oversold me cleaning the fuel system and replacing the filter, among other things, my vehicle wouldn’t start. Additionally, gas was pouring out of the underside of the vehicle. I had the vehicle towed to the dealership. They found that the fuel tube had been damaged in the process of changing the filter so that the clips holding it together were no longer there.
I spoke to Mike at this Jiffy Lube franchise who indicated that they could not possibly be at fault because «the guy who did the job had been doing it for 12 years». I referred him to the dealership but he made no comment to indicate he would speak with them. He asked me if I had read the back of their invoice; they were not responsible because «I should have called them as soon as the car wouldn’t start and they would have come out and fixed it immediately». I told him that these issues were irrelevant; that I was going to file a claim with the Attorney General’s Office and he hung up the phone on me.
All this after I came in for a simple oil change — they oversold me radiator service, antifreeze, air filter, differential service, and broke my fuel system to the tune of 417.26 not to mention my $ 50 towing costs and $ 671 I’ve been quoted to repair the fuel system by the dealer.
Avoid this franchise like the plague!

I came here on a Friday afternoon expecting it to be jam packed, and was pleasantly surprised it wasn’t busy at all! I rolled up to the ‘drive-​thru’ lane and the guy welcomed me and took me into the office. They checked out my truck really quick and came in to suggest services. Of course he pulled out my cabin filter and tried to get me to pay to change it (it was $ 10, which is pretty cheap) but I declined since I can just dust it off for free. He went over the different kinds of fancy oil and I opted for the conventional (read cheap) which was 44.99! Holy crap! Sure there was a $ 15 off special, but really $ 35 for an oil change is ABSURD! If I knew how expensive it was, I would’ve done it myself, but I guess I’m used to cheap oil changes where I come from. Anyway after the sticker shock, my truck was done in 10mins and overall was a breeze. This would’ve been an easy 5 stars, but I just can’t get over how expensive oil changes are here!

I am disappointed! I usually go to the Jiffy Lube in Hawks Prairie, but decided to go here, closer to my home. My experience today started when I drove in, and the guy who came out to greet me hocked a loogie as he was walking to my car. Next, after being taken in, they just hollered from the computer, rather than call me up from the doorway. That’s when the high pressure sales started. I JUST wanted my oil changed! I couldn’t shake the feeling that I was getting scammed, but he kept knocking the price down on what he was upselling. After installing new cabin filters he hollers that mine were actually cheaper than what he quoted me, but when he rang me up he didn’t adjust according to what he was going to offer me, so I didn’t get the $ 20 off in the end. This is my first review; had to sign up to post my displeasure! I may go back one more time to make sure the bad service wasn’t a fluke, but if it’s the same as today, I will gladly drive back out to the friendly guys at Hawks Prairie!

Took my Jeep here for a quick lube and got a filthy driveway. Got home and noticed that there was quite a bit of oil on my driveway. Took it back and they said that they thought that they had cleaned it up better. It turns out that they cranked it up without the oil filter on it and sprayed oil everywhere. Good job. Now I have lifter noise, but will never be able to prove that it is from the incident. Stay clear and do it yourself for $ 20.

Well it’s been roughly 3000 miles ago that it was time to change my oil. After realizing my Saturn Dealership closed up shop, I took an chance and ran to a chain lube. Scary… I know.
The customer service was EXCEPTIONAL. Opening doors, being polite, talking clearly, clean, and extremely friendly. They kept me updated and made my wait feel like nothing at all. I like their screen service so you can see everything as they add it on and enter your information. Even a guy checked out my glass for cracks. My darlin lil car was vacuumed and all windows were cleaned. Price was good for the market.
So you’re asking why only three stars?!
1. The waiting room is very dull and worn, not dirty but in need of updating. A very unwelcoming feeling especially compared to the awesome service.
a. The layout made it a tight squeeze. At one point we had seven people in this tiny waiting room plus two employees. I would have bet the walls were closing in.
2. The phone I had to use to call my insurance company to repair the rock chip was VERY dirty and kinda grossed me out.
3. They didn’t have the air filter type for my car, it is a brand new model but still, don’t offer if you don’t have it.
4. While it didn’t seem like I waited a long time, I was there for 45 minutes. I think they could have been a little faster.
I would and most likely will go back.
