My favorite Chinese restaurant in Turlock. The best thing about this restaurant is they serve you large portions. They are quick and food always tastes fresh.

Love this place the only reason I did not give them the fifth star is because they changed the egg rolls they used to be homemade and now they’re like packaged gross why would they do that the one on your road still does the hand made ones so please bring them back and I’ll give you the fifth star

I think I like this one better than the Geer Road location. It seemed more friendly and less frenetic. Both China Café’s are still«take out» places in my book. Had the garlic chicken here(my go to meal). I would say it was a tad better than the Geer location interpretation, if only because the breading remained crisp even though it was stuffed in a take out container. On the other hand the chicken wasn’t as substantial.

I have been here twice so far. I was sick the first visit just wanting a cup of hot and sour soup to open my sinuses. By my suprise the soup was extremely flavorful. I went back again, I ordered the honey chicken and pot stickers. Chicken was white meat and pot stickers were good, they have chili oil :). Food is made to order and is fresh. A side note… If you try to order a single bowl of soup to go you cannot. I had to order and eat a single serving soup while I was there waiting for my food to-go

I have been here once and the service was alright, the waitress was face timing while taking our order and her children were at a table taking the paper from the straws touching each straw. It was disgusting, and after that was it. I was gonna give it another chance but before entering the cook was by the entrance clipping his nails which was that. Food was eh ok, but definitely not the cleanest

Best in Turlock to get good authentic Chinese. Better than the geer road location I must say. Don’t come here after 8 though! The chicken is no longer fresh! Had some good basically reheated once when I came at 8:30

the waitress was using her phone texting and ignored us for a long time. Finally we got up to the cash registered and asked for our bill over the kitchen counter. The food was good and excellent value. Low key place but did not like to see texting.

About 3 weeks ago, we found their flier in the mail. We’ve ordered at least once a week since then. I’m really picky about my chow mien, and these folks do it right. The fried rice is good. The asparagus chicken is to die for! It’s packed with slender, bright green 2 inch long pieces of asparagus, lots of sauted chicken breast, and fantastic flavor. I make a meal of just that. I’ve ordered the asparagus chicken three times now. I did find the chicken chop suey to be bland. I ate it after first tasting the asparagus chicken. So the contrast was clear. I think I usually have crunchy noodles in my chop suey, and that changes the flavor, too. I did ask about the noodles. China Café doesn’t use them. I ordered it only once. We also ordered a number 17, which has fried shrimp, sweet and sour pork, orange chicken, fried rice and chow mien. The sauce for the orange chicken has a bit of a kick. I mix it into the fried rice and chow mien. We’ve ordered this all three times. Egg rolls have been ordered thrice as well. We ordered pot stickers only once, but that was by accident. We found the pot stickers to be top notch. The dough was appropriately thin, and the meat inside was delightful. About three years ago, our favorite Chinese place closed down. I think China Café is what we’ve been searching for. At the time I’m writing this, combination plates range from $ 7.29−11.99. 28 ounce containers range from $ 7.29−10.99. They do have an online menu.

It’s almost a hole in the wall. At least it’s a small, cozy restaurant. I came here with friends and ordered the chow mein, fried rice, tempura shrimps, and foil chicken(#13?) combo plate for less than $ 9 with taxes. Large portions, good food, great service, low price I loved how they made the chow mein and I have brought other friends here as well. There’s usually only one guy waiting on all the tables and he does his job well! This place gets pretty packed during lunch. I would definitely recommend coming here.

I come to this place here and there but today will be the last day after i saw the chef picking his nose outside the restaurant like it was a life and death battle against his nose. Never seen anyone dig that deep. Never. I dont trust if they wash their hands or not. So disgusted.

I come here with my friends am when we are starving and are never disappointed with the portions. The food is ok but it’s way better than all the other Chinese restraunts in town. Others in turlock are either over priced or taste terrible. If you want Chinese in turlock, this is the spot.

They give you a really large amount of food for the price. I personally think the food is not that great. I have came here twice and didn’t like it either time. The food is a little greasy.

I just moved here and was craving some Chinese food. I must say that I am very happy with this restaurant. The atmosphere is comfortable, the service is fast and friendly and the food is awesome. I ordered the #7 combination plate and everything was delicious. The servings are very generous and I ended up taking half of my meal home. I will definitely be coming back in the future.

Very good food. Have experienced long wait times while ordering take out, but that isnt enough to keep me away. I just order by phone now. Dine in service was fast, portions are generous and prices are great!

A friend recommended this to us and thank god it is as good as he told us. Being newly moved into Turlock, Ca we made mistake of going to the chinese rest. on Main St.(BIGMISTAKE)!!! The food is not greasy, good tasting & they give you very generous portions. 2 persons can easily eat from one of their combos unless you are Super Hungry. They have 2 locations & have tried both & food is equally as good in both spots.

There are some down sides to living in an agricultural hub in the middle of the valley… you don’t have a lot of options for food, nightlife, entertainment or really anything for that matter. Almost anything you experience here is going to be second rate. However…no the case with this«hole in the wall». The Chinese food here is actually pretty close to what it is supposed to tase like. I love the sesame chicken here and I get the chow mein and fried rice. Lots of flavor without all the greasiness. The portions are appropriate with the amount of money I have to fork over. They are always willing to substitute items for me and usually they don’t charge me extra for that. They are friendly, they are quick, it’s always clean, its in a good location and the food is good. This is the only place I go for Chinese food when I’m in Turlock. All the other places just don’t come close… at all.
