Garden Essential

I was upset to hear a co-​worker was treated so disrespectfully at Garden Essential. She went to make a purchase of some pottery and was told «we don’t take credit cards.» She got in her car, drove to a bank to get cash and returned to pay. When she arrived to pay she noticed the employee accepting a credit card from another customer. She confronted the employee and asked, «why didn’t you accept my credit card.» He responded by yelling, «you don’t make the rules.» My friend is an African American woman. This bigotry and discrimination has to stop in our country. If you chose to do business at Garden Essential in Turlock, CA you are only fueling a cultural of discrimination. Do not do business with Garden Essential!

I have driven by this pottery store so many times driving south on 99. Today my husband and I decided to go check it out. Wow what a wonderful place it really is a pottery farm ha ha! Beautiful pots and garden finds, some I had never seen anywhere else, large place. Prices were very good. Selection amazing!!! The people were so friendly loaded everything in our truck for us! If you love to garden and asian pottery and yard décor Go Here !!!

I am always looking on Craigslist (CL) for ceramic pots for my plants. I want a good deal and yet the CL ads offer slim pickings. The prices are near retail and the pots’ colors and styles are pretty limited.
Well, on a trip down the central valley I passed through the town of Turlock, CA. On the west side of the freeway was a huge lot of the most amazing collection of planters. I vowed to go there on my next trip, which just happened. The «store» manager was very helpful, he instructed me about the «lay of the land», which was over 3 acres. He pointed to where the 50% off pots were and that I could use one of the wagons to pull around, to collect any of the pots I liked. If I needed any help with carrying anything just let him know. He even said that if I found something I liked with a crack or chip in it, he would discount it for me when I made my purchase.
I started my shopping and could not believe the selection and great prices. After about 30 minutes my eyes began to sting from the sweat mixed with sunscreen that was running into my peepers. It was at this time, this young fellow (darn it, I did get his name, but he is muscularly thin, blonde, nice looking and 25 years old) came out with a plastic cup filled with ice cold water from their cooler. He said he knew how hot it gets on the asphalt and in the middle of all those pots. BOY, I really needed that water right then.
Well, I made my selection, paid for my purchase (great deals to be had) and this fellow brought all 5 of my pots out to my car. He put them carefully on the floor, in the back of my SUV and even in the seat AND strapped the seat belt around them, so they would not fall. Talk about customer service… it is the best!!!
