Never have quite everything you need. Might as well go to home Depot so you can get everything you need in one shot. I’ve tried to give them my business but I’m done going here.

We shop here weekly. What actually makes this place special is that it’s much smaller than the BIG Box stores in town. As soon as you walk in you are greeted and asked if they can help you!!! Now that’s something you never get elsewhere. They carry quality items not quantity. You can always find what your looking for. Workers are very friendly and always have a smile on their face. My favorite department is the paint station. BENJAMIN MOORE paint is the best, yes expensive but TOTALLY worth it especially with one coat you can cover almost anything.

I had gone in to pick up some star jasmine that was on sale. I bought the two that they had and made a rain check for more. After a few weeks of being told that they were having supply problems, I communicated to them that I needed them by a certain date. The next day they called and had all 17 plants! They still were having supply problems from their vendor, but someone from this Turlock store picked them all up from multiple Modesto stores for me. Thank you, Michelle, Lisa, and anyone else I may have dealt with!

I was shocked to see this store get a lower rating as I was browsing places local to me, but after reading the actual reviews, I just remembered that some people are just idiots.
I have only had great experiences at this store. Yes, things cost a bit more than at Home Depot or Lowes, but it is super convenient, and more importantly, the people who work there are friendly and actually helpful. I can’t stand the lack of customer service at the big boxes. Every time I go in here, someone asks me right away if they can help me, and always get me to the items I need.

I’m a big fan of Orchard Supply Hardware! When you walk into the store there’s always a positive vibe and someone inside greeting you. They’re isles are always organized and clean. There is always an employee there who will ask if you need any help, unlike Other hardware stores like Home Depot or Lowes. Although orchard is a tad bit more expensive than other hardware stores, you pay for the shopping experience. Orchard is the Target in Target vs. Walmart.

I love supporting the local option. I am not a fan of the «Big box» retailers. However, OSH is over priced and the fact that the «Big box» chains offer a 10% discount for veterans and OSH does not makes me shop here on a «need to» basis. (I am not a veteran, but I have family that are).

Beware; if looking to purchase the Pacific Bay 11.5 foot offset patio umbrella, you’ll not be able to replace the umbrella canopy due to there are no replacement parts available. I purchased this umbrella about 3 years ago, I believe I purchased it for $ 399.99. I was informed by the Manager this item is an import item and there are no replacements parts for this item. The Manager mentioned this is a known issue, unfortunatly they didn’t mention this «known issue» at the time I gave them my hard earned $ 400.00.
The Manager was very polite when delivering the message and said they are working on this as Pacific Bay is their registered product. In the meantime I’m looking for a repair shop…
I gave 1 star strickly for the reason I was not informed of the «known issue» at the time of purchase. Employees were all very kind and apologetic of the situation, I give them 5 stars…

I had my worst experience ever here. I was going to check out at register 1, the light was on there, when I walked up to it, the cashier was doing paperwork and told me to hold on. I waited, and waited. So I walked to the next register with the light on behind hers. The cashier there was finishing up with her last customer and told me register was closed because she was leaving. There was one more register with the light on, I go over to it, and these guys walked in front of me to it, started talking to the cashier about something. I was so fed up, I put my stuff I was gona purchase down and left. I will never come to this Osh again.
