Green Grub

Love the food, but the service is always slow. Frankly, they’ve got too much going on – coffee drinks at one bar, smoothies at another bar, and regular sit-​down food at the tables. It would really simplify things if everyone placed their order at one location in the restaurant, got a number placard for their table, and the food/​drinks were delivered to the table. Otherwise, they have one server managing everything, and the result is bad. Also, a few menu items seem very similar-​sounding, so the servers never seem sure which item you’re ordering. Although I love having a nice selection, they should narrow their menu. We’ll keep going back, but I hope they improve.

Green Grub gets 5 stars for excellent service! Plus the food is always delicious! I called in my order of a Garden Deluxe salad with chicken. I used my lunch time to go there, pick it up, and head back to work before my time was up. When I opened my salad, it wasn’t what I ordered. There was chicken salad instead of the grilled chicken which I never order and no avocado or egg. So I called them and let them know they made my order wrong and they offered to make me a new one. The problem was that I wouldn’t be able to pick it up until after 5 when I was off work and explained I used my lunch to go pick it up. They said it wasn’t a problem and 4 hours later had my salad waiting for me. Thank you for taking care of your customers!

Thank you green grub for offering healthy food to the community! You can go here and order a range of smoothies or you can sit down and have a healthy sandwich or cup of soup or salad. We’ve done both. Atmousphere is wood floors, chalk board, kind of a hipster modern feel. there is a full coffee menu too. Great for after school treats or a healthy summer time dinner.

I have no complaints with the food, the service is atrocious. If this was in a bigger city as the one I came from, there would be competition of healthy options. But, in Turlock there is nothing else and this place can survive poor service. If there were other options I would be there and at this point in our third frustration of service, I am never returning. Get better organization and people that want a fasted pace. I went here for something healthy and fresh. They definitely have both. But it was over shadowed by the terrible service. No one to greet you. Everyone hides in the back, peeking over the door. I understand they are probably working… but customers come first. Waited for menus for 5+ mins. Not friendly at all. If your attitude is that you’re annoyed we are there… well then I definitely won’t be returning. There were also a couple of very cute, polite kids roaming throughout the restaurant… But she sat at my table with me, she was a very sweet little girl but I’m trying to eat lunch quickly and I’m being asked tons of questions. I have kids I know that’s what they do. But I also, would not have let them bother people while eating, asking for food etc. Of course, there was no one around to tell her otherwise either. Just not a place I would recommend to someone.

I love this spot! I really wish there was more healthy locations like this one in the valley! The food from theirs shakes, salads and sandwiches are all super delicious! I’ll drive out of my way to come here to have a guilty free yummy meal

Every time I’ve been I’ve had horrible service. I recently went for a coffee drink and both employees couldn’t answer my questions about their espresso menu. I waited for a long amount of time before the waiter came up and asked what I’d like to order. I then expressed that I’ve been waiting for my drink which he then had to ask for again (this was the guy who couldn’t answer if they served a Carmel macchiato). I was then brought a chocolate milk (I guess espresso was forgotten in my iced mocha). I don’t recommend it, at least for any type of coffee drink.

Best smoothies in the area as far as how healthy they are. The problem is the service is extremely slow. One of my visits took 30 minutes for one shake. The problem is the order taker also prepares the smoothie. So they are forced to take order and also make product. This makes the next customer wait to make a order. It’s throwing off your speed of service. Plus I’m not seeing a sense of urgency, greetings or apologies from overwhelmed employees. I saw 2 customer leave without even ordering. Your missing the mark on service, which resulting in lost sales. I think this problem can simply be solved with an extra employee help and a little organization on the smoothie side. I hope this can be fixed because I still like the product.

Delicious food! But, I leave frustrated EVERY time I go. The wait times are ridiculous. So if you’ve got LOTS of time to kill… Give ‘em a try!

Came in on a sat. Morning around 8am. I just got out of the gym so I wanted a quick smoothie to get my day going…“QUICK” smh bad idea. The place was empty but I had to wait a few minutes for the lady to even take my order. Then another 10 – 15 mins for her to make it. So as she took my order I noticed how totally unfriendly she was. Geez I know some people arnt morning people but she could’ve cracked a half ass smile. Iv been here before and I definitely have to say if I didn’t like the smoothies so much I would have never returned. Every worker iv came across there has such an unfriendly attitude! I bet they would have outstanding reviews if along with their food came a good attitude and quicker service!

We have had lunch several times at Green Grub and the food is always delicious! Unfortunately, when we went last evening for dinner at 6:10 the doors were locked. We could see customers inside and stood outside for about 5 minutes wondering if they would let us in. No, they did not! As customers left they locked the door each time!
We looked up the hours of operation online before going and it says, open until 7:00 pm. No one came to speak to us as we stood outside to let us know that they weren’t accepting any customers, so it was very disappointing!
Customer service needs improvement!

When you need to get your salad on this place knows what to do. Their salads are almost like whole meals… they’re really big tasty salads.

I go to this place several times a week and much to my surprise yesterday I found an extra donation of a long course black hair wrapped around one of my pieces if pasta in my pesto pasta salad. I called to rectify the situation just now and was told a manager was not available, but guess who was? The health department to take my complaint about hair in the food. Plus I was watching the woman in the kitchen make my sandwich and she had no hair net on. The hair clearly wasn’t hers because she had one of those middle age woman poofy over hair sprayed fros. But clearly they ignore health department requirements for hairnets and plastic gloves… kinda makes you wonder what dirty little things they do that customers dont see… eew!

Salads are good, thought I would stop by for cappuccino and a quiche for breakfast, bad idea. Waited 10 minutes for help, the person making a simple shot of espresso had no idea to tamp it etc, I watched the water flowing out the sides of the pod. Got back to the office and grinds all over the cup. Guess I’ll stick with Starbucks or Luus Coffee.

I came to have lunch for my first time … I was very happy with my food… i originally come here for smoothies… Which are amazing! I would definitely going to come again.

Fairly disappointed in a place I like. Go in for a relaxing lunch and to hear the people in the back cooking area cussing, fighting about who was going to clean up the mess that was made. Not exactly what you want to hear when your ordering food. F bombs, and b**s**t. Thrown out. Will have to rethink ever coming back.

There was only two employees when we went and they were definitely in over their heads, but still sweet and professional, and they took our order as soon as they could. I got a dirty Chai (Chai latte with espresso) and quiche, that was pretty good except the quiche is a lot saltier than you would expect from a healthy place. My friend got the pesto foccacia and it was stacked with turkey and looked delicious!

Please be more welcoming and polite to guest, we are here at your establishment during our busy day spending our hard earned money. We choose to be here when we could go so many other places! So please take a look at the way you treat your guest! Say hello when we walk in, smile, recommend menu items, don’t be rude when I ask you about certain items. The concept is nice we could use a place like this in the area.

Tonight I came with my mom– The café side has a cozy feel, a place where you can hang out with a few friends or alone and enjoy a cup of coffee and read a book.
I was very impressed with how many healthy and interesting combinations of sandwiches and salads! Gourmet pairings and healthy options. Homemade soup sign had me hooked so I ordered a cup of the kale carrot and sweet potato soup-​delicious and had a kick of spice. Next I ordered a Turkey feta and olive melt on Ezekiel bread with a side salad. Everything was so fresh, simple and beautifully plated. The food tastes great I would give it 5 stars. Especially because our server gave us the cutest mini cup of swirled frozen yoghurt after our meal.
Unfortunately our server didn’t even give an effort to smile or check on us. He looked the part but is in the wrong business. We really loved the place and have been here once before and had a great experience with the owner.
I would love to see some sweet and savory paired sandwiches :) overall we love this place
