First time having Persian food. The kabobs were delicious! The Humus was also very delicious, our server was happy to help us order something since we were not familiar with the menu. Very friendly staff and the restaurant is very clean. Highly recommend eating here. This was our first time here and we will definetley be back! Kid friendly which is also a plus!

The best food in Turlock. I was visiting a family member in the hospital and I can’t imagine a better place to escape dreary quotidiana. I was treated like a king. I am not new to Persian food, but this was something else. The music, the colors, the smiling faces. Even though the menu has all my favorites, I tried a few things I’d never had before. I couldn’t believe the amount of food that arrived, I was actually a little embarrassed to tell the truth, but I ate it all — it was that good. I live in Los Angeles where there’s a Persian restaurant on every corner — don’t miss this place.

We were driving back from Lake Tahoe with few friends and for lunch we craved our Iranian dish of ghorme sabzi. We searched for a Persian restaurant in our way and we found Patogh restaurant. We read the reviews and it seemed to be highly recommended From the moment we walked into the restaurant They Treated us like family Their entire food menu is fresh home made. Even their sugar cube for tea is home made. Food is amazing Their beef koobedeh is fresh and delicious. Halal meet. home made doogh(Persian yogurt drink) Turkish coffee Delicious And many many more The restaurant is highly recommended, I wish they were closer to la.

The best Assyrian food in town! I’ve been to all the Assyrian/Persian restaurants in Turlock(there’s about 5), and this place is hands down the best. They have the usual kabobs, humus, etc., but they also have some really unique dishes, in particular some soups and stews that you won’t find anywhere else. And the staff are very friendly. The owner always chats with me and explains the specialty dishes. You won’t regret going here. Do it.

They treat you like family. Super friendly owners. Love coming here. Food is bomb! It’s totally worth trying. Rice is super soft and flavorful. Kabobs are made made when ordered. Cucumber Sauce is my favorite. Ask about special bread as well.

Although I have shopped at Michael’s, Big Lots, Radio Shack, and eaten at the Taco Shop many times, somehow I have never eaten at Patogh. Well today was the day to remedy that. I was tempted to order a sandwich, but I surmised that wouldn’t be representative of their offerings. So I ordered the Koobideh Kabob with lamb/beef. It took a little while for our food to arrive, but it was worth it. I took my first bite of the kabob. Ooh, that’s good. No wait, it’s outstanding! I had a kabob left over and I made sure I took it home with me. It was almost as good the next day. There wasn’t as much saffron rice on my white rice like I saw in the pictures on their website. I love saffron rice, and was hoping for more. Yes, I know saffron is expensive. The hummus was pretty good. But I was hoping it would have been a little thicker. We had ice cream for dessert. It was so good. Our server told us that they make their own ice cream. Needless to say, we did not leave hungry. I don’t know why this place was empty during our entire meal. The food and service were excellent! Our server checked on us and refilled our drink glasses as we repeatedly emptied them. The restroom was clean. I loved the painting of San Francisco on the wall. I tried a lamb kabob sandwich later, but it was nowhere near as good as the Koobideh Kabob.

Patogh is an unexpected gem that should be well worth a detour for anyone cruising down the 99. I looked them up because I have a personal interest in Assyrian food and culture and the Patogh menu promised a few Assyrian dishes amidst Iranian restaurant standards. I ordered the grape leaf dolma and the bushala, both very traditional Assyrian dishes. Both were perfectly executed. Especially the dolma, which was stuffed with a beautiful rice and herb mixture, topped with fresh-made tomato sauce and served with shallot yogurt(mast-o-moosir). The bushala was a yogurt based soup, creamy, soothing and very refreshing. This was top notch food at very reasonable prices. The owner Mr. Ali and his wife Mrs Larisa are such warm, welcoming people — it almost feels like dining in someone’s home. A very satisfying meal and now I need to go back and make my way through the rest of the menu!

Just had the pleasure of having them cater my lunch appointment yesterday. I had 3 different kinds of kabobs. koobideh(ground beef with delicious spices) the beef Barg, thin slices of beef and chicken Barg, thin slices of yummy chicken. The eggplant, bread, the rice, salad, everything was delicious!!! I wish I lived closer. I’d be here weekly. Thankfully I work throughout that area, and will definitely be stopping by on a frequent basis. The owners are a nice family. So accommodating and I appreciate all of their help putting together this last minute meal and ready in time. My clients loved it as much as I did. Be back soon!
