Louisville, KY
Walked in, sat and was greeted. I immediately asked if they use butter or margarine… i will not eat margarine and if you’re using it, you’re probably not doing much else right. The waitress smiled and said margarine, so we left. She was nice and said that she understood because they need real butter there. Yes, yes you do. Margarine is trash and I just can’t, so we left. Nice service though.

Here’s an idea. Don’t let the homeless bath at your restaurant. The last thing I want to do is step over piles homeless belongings when I’m trying to get to breakfast. Or to ho into the restroom with my little ones that some one has been bathing in. There are homeless facilities for this literally a few blocks away. Then outside saw a women providing oral sex for pay next to a dumpster. Awful experience. Not going back. Food was okay though.

I absolutely love this place! The staff is great and attentive, I have ordered a variety of breakfast dishes and have not been disappointed. It is always my first choice for breakfast!

This place is hard to review, I have dined here several times and it’s a real mixed bag. There have been times when my review would be a 5, and others when I would rate it a 2.
Food quality and service is inconsistent, I have had some delicious meals here and that brings be back occasionally. Unfortunately I have also had a few meals that were overcooked, or overly greasy, and one time food that should have been served hot was almost at room temperature.

Seriously the best breakfast I’ve had in a while. At first I thought the food was bad bc of how empty it was when we got there and how everything is a little bit out dated but holy shit was I wrong.
First off the waitress was so friendly and that’s always a plus.
Comfy place to sit and talk.
I ordered the pancakes and they were probably the best pancakes I’ve ever tasted. My boyfriend ordered a bacon waffle and he was instantly in love. He ate it all and wanted more. That says a lot considering he’s the pickiest eater I’ve ever met. So happy to have found this little gem because breakfast was so good and we will be coming back regularly.

What a pleasant surprise. Family friendly, food was fantastic and the service impeckable. I would recommend for breakfast anytime. Have not tried lunch or dinner so I will define ty be back.

Old school kind of breakfast diner, all upholstered booths and friendly wait staff. We had lunch the day after Christmas, a slow day apparently. We split a chicken sandwich which was excellent, grilled sourdough, melted Swiss, tasty bacond grilled chicken breast. Very fresh and hot. Waitress very competent, friendly, service super fast which we appreciate being on the road. Coffee also good. Only problem which prevents me from giving 5 stars — Windows (which we are seated right up next to) are filthy. Clean the windows and definitely would give them 5 stars.

This place was conveniently located. Food was typical breakfast diner level. All in all it was good. But besides server being very nice, they were not very attentive. At one point our party was one of two in the whole place and I waited for someone to appear to eventually refill my coffee. I would think they’d be more on the ball with service. The place could use some updating and good deep cleaning. It’s ok. Wouldn’t highly recommend. Probably won’t be back.

This place is packed on the weekends — which is proof in itself that the food is great. The secret of this place is the breakfast special they have during the week though. So much food you’ll have it for lunch too and all for around $ 5 — can’t beat that bang for your buck.

Me and my husband stop in here every time we are traveling south on 99. The food is fresh, plentiful and the staff is so nice! We highly recommend the Waffle Shop to anyone loving a great breakfast!

Seat yourself when you walk in, don’t wait to be seated. Service is basic. You get the menu taken to you and asked what you want to drink. I ordered the Mediterranean Omelet (has spinach, tomatoes, onion) and asked if I could get half of the order since I portion control, waitress said she could do that but the $ 10.95 would not change, Umm that’s awkward! I understand, Anyways I asked for whites only, she said that would definitely change the amount of portion. My partner had scrambled eggs, bacon, and Hash browns. You get a choice of biscuit, toast or 1 pancake.

I wanted to go and have a great breakfast. I had never been to the Waffle Shop and to be honest I was hesitant. But I walked into one of the cleanest restaurants I had ever been to, even the fans were dust free. And the breakfast was amazing. The waffle was fluffy and fresh!

They checked to make sure we had coffee, they asked us more then a few times if we needed anything. The staff was really sweet. Perfect place to bring my great grandma, we all enjoyed the atmosphere.

Decent food and excellent service
I ordered a waffle with ham and eggs. The ham was excellent but the eggs were terrible. I don’t know how someone can mess up eggs, but they tasted almost like they had a ton of butter in them. Luckily, I didn’t stop here for the eggs, I stopped for a waffle. It proved to be pretty good. Not the best I ever had but it was good.
The service was excellent. I never had an empty glass and the food came out quickly. Everyone was very friendly.
Ultimately, I wouldn’t go out of my way to stop here but for locals it’s a good stop for a waffle.
