Cost Plus World Market

World Market is packed with all kinds of finds– from furniture to kitchen ware, bath accessories, patio items, paper goods and even food item… you can literally find it all. Every time I step foot into this store, it turns into an all afternoon affair with little reward. It’s just not for me. Sure, prices are low, but I also find that the quality isn’t very good, in my opinion. I have found some fun items during the holiday season– like ornaments and wrapping paper. The paper supply and party supply section is definitely my favorite section. Tons of cute finds in that area. This particular store has really great customer service and folks are super helpful!

I just LOVE this place!

This is a nice clean organized store. They carry a wide variety of products so you never know what you will see when you go in there. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking being in strip mall. Also, they have a good selection of wine, beers, liquor and party supplies. Lots of good household in and outdoor items.

I can spend all day at places like this. There is just so much to see… Food, furniture, toys, drinks from all over the world. The prices can get a tad pricey, but this stuff is imported.
There is a good food section. Lots of gourmet chocolates, cookies, teas, coffees, you name it. The drinks are fun to see and try. Everything from prickly pear soda (my favorite) to cucumber soda. The alcohol section was neat as well.
They have cute party supplies like cards, bags, and wrapping paper. They have neat baking supplies, dishes, furniture, everything.
If you need to find a gift for someone who has it all, check here. You won’t be disappointed.

Enjoy the location quite a bit.
Fun snacks, quirky (?) Knicknacks (?)… with the exception perhaps of some of the kitchenware, plates etc., I wouldn’t say that there was a ton of practical stuff here.

I went into Cost Plus yesterday looking for a piece of furniture that my hubby can turn into a sink vanity for a bathroom we’re remodeling.
I was immediately distracted and intrigued with the wide assortment of kitschy old fashioned toys and candy in the center/​rear of the store. While my husband checked out the build quality of the furniture (Mostly decent, I think), I perused the tables and shelves of goodies, imagining what every Kinder chocolate tasted like and scouring the ingredient lists of their flavored macaroons.
There were all sorts of flavored chocolate bars, sample sizes of random treats, caramel covered marshmallows, weird Jelly Belly flavors, etc etc.
As far as toys go — I can’t wait to buy a bunch of noisy whistlers, recorders, maracas, harmonicas, and contraptions I don’t know the names of for my niece, who is sadly, at this point in time, still under the suggested purchase age of three.
My dad used to work with his father filling vending machines when he was a kid in the 60s and he always reminisces about the sodas they used to stock machines with — Bubble Up, White Rock, and others I can’t recall. I think i may be able to scramble together an old fashioned candy/​toys/​games/​soda package for him at Cost Plus for Father’s Day. It would be quite an unexpected surprise for him because he does not consume much junk food. Ha!
I’m thoughtful.
At any rate, the store is fairly large and roomy, filled wall to wall with art pieces, furniture, decorative items, lawn furniture, games, food, wines, and other trinkets that can take a good hour to go through. The prices are higher than what you’d find at most scatter-​brained-​discounted-​random items store, but the quality is a bit better, so it makes sense.

Horrible return policy. I had the receipt for a $ 4 return and they would only give store credit because I did not have my debit card with me. The item was broken and poor quality. Go across the street to Pier One Imports.

Love the new location. It is bigger and easier to move around in then the old location. We love their candy selection and their unique seasonal items. It is a good place to go to get those little things you need around the kitchen, Living Room or Bedroom. The staff is always friendly and willing to help.
