El Pollo Loco

Went in today with a coupon that expired on ⁶⁄₃. They would not take it. I had to go home, get the same coupon with a ⁷⁄₁₅ expiration date and go back. Went to Newport this time. Figured these guys didn’t need my business that much.

I work close by and I eat out nearly every day. There are many choices to eat at Tustin market place but this is my favorite place; It’s healthy, fresh and tasty. Most of the cashiers know my name since I come here frequently!

I gave this location 4 stars because my driver thru server, Alisia A, was the sweetest and most attentive service expert ever. It was quick but she was better than some dine in restaurants I’ve been to! I ordered the grande avocado chicken bowl which isn’t that grande compared to a chiptole bowl.

Had the Mexican Cobb salad. If you don’t like purple cabbage and brown avocado and mostly the hard solid pieces of lettuce… don’t get this salad. I definitely won’t be getting this again. :(

I go to this El Pollo 4 – 5 days a week; Liz is awesome and knows from the special order it’s me, Jason/​Justin is also tuned in! Food is great and helped me in my fitness quest and 20lb weight loss!

El Pollo Loco really upped their game tonight. I ordered a 4-​piece chicken meal with corn tortillas, Spanish rice and corn for my sides.
My wife tried their new, double chicken mango avocado salad.
The drive-​thru was quick and the food was hot and fresh.
We both really enjoyed our meals.

Came here today if I’m gonna spend 17 dollars on shitty food then I’ll just cook at home the food is gross Avocado was hard as a rock and chicken was raw and under seasoned save your money they are rude too

I’ve been here over 50 times as a passenger and a driver. Their flavors are always off compared to other Pollo Locos. The chicken is also drier.
Today I was hung up on the moment I said «I ordered a pollo bowl with corn tortilla, instead I got-​» and bam. Dial tone. I tried calling again but there was no answer. After that, I won’t be coming here again.

This store is now my favorite store to visit and eat with my friends.
Today Eduardo helped me out and he was great! He shows leadership skills.
El Pollo Loco should consider modeling other stores after this one because it is now your flagship store.
The rest of the employees, sorry I didn’t get your names, all were working very hard to make sure everyone was a satisfied customer.

I’ve never been disappointed coming here. The beans are perfectly made, the chicken is always hot. The salsas are fresh. It’s hard to find a pollo loco that is consistently good, and this one meets my expectations every time. I work closer to the Tustin location but come here instead.

Worst customer service. Waited for 30 minutes just for soup and churro. What the heck!

This store has the worst drive thru I have ever been to. They wait is always long no matter if there is one car in the drive thru or 10. Usually 10 because the it takes so long.

This is my favorite location; it is the most consistent. I really like El Pollo Loco when it is done well, and this location usually does it well. Service is typically pretty good as well.

Not sure why, maybe because I was drive-​thru, but they jacked my meal.
I ordered from the Under 500 calories menu … the Double Chicken Avocado salad. Portions were descent, lots of lettuce and even four slices of fresh tasting avocado. Even the portion of the chicken was on the «filling, almost ample» side. However … the chicken was not cubes of grilled chicken, like in the advertisement. Oh no, it was all shredded chicken. It was so shredded, I couldn’t tell what part of the chicken it was from (other than it was from the white meat areas).
If you are going to show a photo of a towering salad with juicy chunks or cubes of chicken with grill marks … then PLEASE … serve it! Don’t bait and switch your patrons … or we will eat else where.

I dig this location. Every single time I come here, the employees are working their tail off. Someone is either cleaning tables off or restocking their rockin salsa bar (I know I know, it’s just an El Pollo loco). Not once have I ever been ignored. It’s rare for me to walk from the entrance to the counter without being greeted by a cheerful staff member. Not just a robot saying, «hello welcome to blah blah blah».
I work nearby and appreciate their speedy service. I’ve never had to stress over time. Just chill, get my grub on and bounce.
My latest off menu tweak is of their Tostada fajitas… they can make it into a burrito. No beans, rice or lettuce. Cilantro green sauce on the side. Team Edward put it together first and I haven’t looked back.

Pretty good location. Their salsa bar is nice and full, and the restaurant is clean. Staff is super friendly, particularly Kayti was so kind and funny! Both hubby and I were a bit hangry after attempting to get In-​n-​Out, but deciding to leave due to their rediculously long line, but Kayti made us laugh and feel comfortable. They also have lots of gluten free items which is a big deal for us since hubby can’t tolerate gluten. Yay!

El Pollo Loco serves up some cheap, Mexican style roasted chicken and other dishes. This is fast food so if you don’t like fast food, don’t come here. For those that understand what this is… then I think this is a really enjoyable place to come for a quick and filling meal. What’s more impressive is their prices. I just had the 8 piece family meal plan which comes with a free Mexican Chicken Pizza, 2 large sides, 8 tortillas, and 4 churros. All this for $ 20. There are even coupons out there where you get free Tacos/​Burritos when you order this meal deal.
I hope they keep the Mexican Chicken Pizza on the menu. It’s crunchy delicious topped with their tasty chicken, avocado, and salsa dressing. You have the choice of corn or flour tortillas which is nice for people who have a strong preference one way or the other. You also have the choice of drums and thighs or breast and wing. The family meal can also increase in piece count and price if you so please, just depends on how many people you are feeding.
Food came out fast, cashier was nice, and the open salsa bar is fun to do. I was satisfied with the taste and the amount of food provided. I think it’s good fast food mexican chicken and it’s cheap. They have other meats and dishes too if you want steak or shrimp or fish and tacos, burritos, etc.

I’m not usually one to write reviews, but I just had a really great experience and wanted to share. I came in with my 10 month old son and they had a highchair that was clean perfect for him. The cashier who took our order was super friendly and gave my son a pack of stickers. Our order was ready before we had a chance to get settled in at the table. The food was tasty and just as I had ordered. One staff member, Claudia, went around the dining area and was offering to wipe tables down before guests sat down, she swept up all of our dropped food on the floor (there was a lot!) and she even gave my son a balloon to play with, which he loved. She was super friendly. Overall I had a great experience and highly recommend this El Pollo Loco!

This El Pollo Loco is a testing restaurant. You don’t know from one trip to the next what will be on the menu. I came to the drive through with a written order for other’s and had to improvise at a moments notice because items such as the taco’s and the taquitos are no longer on the menu. That’s ok. It kind of forced me to order more healthier selections and to try one of the new salads. Yummy!
The service here is always great and the people that run the drive through have the best personalities. The inside is clean and welcoming.
