I love flame broiler, but this location is HORRIBLE! I gave them a second try today and still git jipped. They barley give you anything. And i even asked and paid fir extra veggies. Brought it their attention and was given attitude. Wont be going here anymore! !!

This place had terribly over cooked chicken which was way too charred, and really under cooked rice! I’ll never be back again! I think I’m gonna get sick from this. Smh

Service subpar, meat of low quality and always dried out. Would rather skip lunch than eat here.

I order«Half and Half» bowl, my meat and chicken were still cold and my meat had red/pink inside. My steam rice was the only thing that was warm. They’re quick but at least take your time on cooking the damn food!

This place is VERYDIRTY! The staff was to busy to clean any table so I took some napkins and cleaned my own. The chicken I got was old, dry and stringy. The Chris and tables are all dirty with old food & sauce. Disgusting place to eat lunch.

I love flame broiler but this location is ridiculous! We bought a bowl for my 2 and 3 year old to share and they couldn’t spare a extra bowl to split. Ridiculous! To boot the rice could’ve been passed for mashed potatoes. I will go out of my way to go elsewhere. The smallest things are the biggest in my opinion

If I could give no stars I would. I have never had such a bad experience in my life. I went on my lunch to flame broiler ordered the chicken bowl. When it was ready I just grabbed it and went on my way. When I went to eat it I found a screw sitting on top of my chicken. Of course I go back and the lady just takes it brings it to her manager in the back. I can see how the manager reacts when she brought it to him. He acted like it was no big deal. She made me a new one and handed me a card that said I could get a free bowl. I said I wanted my money back not s free bowl and so he gives me my money back and then takes my bowl away. And precedes to tell me that I can’t have my money back and my bowl. I didn’t want to eat there food but I was on my lunch and I don’t have much time to go somewhere else and get food. Good thing there is subway next door. I will never be going back to this location again. I should probably call his supervisor as well just because they handled the situation so horribly.

Even though this place is conveniently near my work, I will make the extra drive elsewhere. The service is terrible, the workers look like they hate their lives and the music is always way too loud to even try to have a conversation with someone.

I had good experiences at other Flame Broilers but this location is the most unprofessional and incompetent group. The staff is extremely rude. The food is significantly worse than any location. Flame Broiler should revoke their franchise agreement from this owner. They’ll give Flame Broiler a really bad reputation. I tried this place a few times due to the convenience but I’ll never go again. I really wanted to like this place but I just can’t. Just a horrible experience every time!

This is not the location for a teriyaki chicken bowl. I have been to a few different Flame Broilers and my experience here was horrible. I should of walked out after waiting in line a few minutes and the cashier was new and couldent figure out something on the register and the manager, chef, trainer, cook, guy in the back kept coming out to help her. Finally I got to place my order, which was quick and easy. My first bite into the chicken was dried out, burnt flavorless chicken, as you can see in the pic before I took a bite. It was so bad I was going to complain, but there was a line about 4 deep and did not want to confuse the cashier anymore, so I picked around and dug into the rice. The rice was also not very good. it seemed like it was room temp on the top and piping hot in the middle, like it just popped out of a microwave. Even the jalapeño and carrots was just about empty with only a few carrots in it. Dont know if I’ll be going back anytime soon. Easy access off the freeway if headed north on the 55, but terrible food. Too many other great choices close by.

Um. Customer in front of me told the lady at the counter«we called earlier for pickup» and the lady literally responded with«I know, we don’t make the orders until you are here because too many people never show up.» Well, let’s just leave it at that. Needless to say, the food was not good, dry meat, overcooked rice. Too bad it’s the only food near my hotel.

Had a company training and we were on a limited lunch break and was with coworkers and since I wasn’t in the mood to drive since I’m still under the weather, I was game for whatever. Yup, that’s how ill I was because this gal will drive for good food normally and risk being antisocial by eating alone for good food. I’ve never been to a Flame Broiler and this just confirmed why I won’t be returning. Got the works and this food just makes me sad. Bland, boring food. The beef was dry, the chicken was dry. A healthier version of Yoshinoya but less flavor. Sorry that«Magic» sauce does nothing and that’s barely hot sauce. Seriously that area of OC needs better food options, especially with all the workers in that area(the better ones are harder to get to back with a limited lunch break). Amazingly, there’s a significant lunch crowd. It’s nice the give you an options of brown rice, in addition to white rice but I rather drive somewhere else for good food. BTW this food is not Chinese. Ummm… who categorize that?

I love eating at flame broiler in general. Especially after a workout. I always get the the Angus beef and their sauce is always amazing. I’m not complaining about the food, I’ve given this location one star because of the service. The lady there had no signs of happiness or friendliness on her at ALL. I walked in there and figured she would already give me a rude feel. She gave me an attitude when I fixed my order and restarted what I wanted. On top of that I came back for onions and she just have me a weird look when I asked for more lol. I love green onions, it goes well with everything. Not to mention this particular location cost more then other flame broilers. Almost 7 dollars for a bowl, other places are like between 5 – 6. I live so close to it and figured why not, but ehh I think I’d rather drive another 5 minutes for the other location. I want to be treated like a good customer! Lol

Using a Unilocal term in it’s truest form: ‘Meh’. I haven’t experienced the poor customer service that other preceeding reviews reviews refer to, but I find absolutely nothing noteworthy either. It’s chicken, or beef, or veggies on a choice of white or brown rice. Period. Sorry, I just find the menu, the flavor, the indoor aesthetics(décor) both mundane and uninspiring. The only thing that lends to any semblance of flavor is your choice of three sauces: hot, sweet teriyaki, or green curry(the later of which is even suspect for identifying itself as curry). One thing I don’t look forward to is the parking lot. It’s not the Flame Broiler’s fault, but a pooly designed lot was shoe-horned into these lots that make traffic flow difficult at peak hours. And speaking fo peak hours, the noon time lunch crowd can lead to a long line stretching to the door, and even that amazes me because other than the idea of patting yourself on the back for attempting to eat healthy(sans the sauces that is), it just is otherwise so bland and boring I don’t know why people wait. On the plus side, it is new, so it has the appearance and feel of being at least clean and open.

I have given this place so many chances. 5 To be exact. The staff does not know their very simple menu and confused at the request of cabbage only no other«veggies» I have had the server 4 now and she has gotten my order correct 0. I don’t think I’m being difficult when I ask for the works rice and cabbage only

This place was ok usually go to the one at the district. I came across this location on Unilocal. There were two things that lacked at this place. One is that the prices were higher here than some of the other locations. I never have paid almost $ 8 for a beef bowl. Usually it’s around $ 6.50. Second is that the amount of beef they put in the bowl is not worth an $ 8 bowl. They put mostly rice in it and very very little bit of beef. I won’t return to this location. Will stick to The District location in Tustin.

Despite being tagged«Chinese,» please keep in mind that Flame Broiler is NOT Chinese food. My boyfriend and I are fans of Flame Broiler. We often stay at hotels in this area and on our recent visit we were happy to see that this Flame Broiler had finally opened. There was only one person eating inside when we got there. Considering we were the only customers and it’s a newly opened location I expected there would be better customer service. Don’t get me wrong, the girl at the counter wasn’t rude or anything, but she wasn’t exactly that friendly either. We were also surprised that less than 2 minutes after we ordered our food it was already bagged and ready to go. I have never been to a flame broiler where you don’t have to wait for them to cook your food. Having said that, it made me wonder just how long our food had been sitting back there. The food was ok, but if you’re in this area I’d recommend going to Umami Teriyaki instead. The food there is much better and they have amazing customer service.
