Let me just start off by saying that the food here is amazing. I’ve been here twice now and the food seriously does not disappoint. Healthy Full Moon Roll(5⁄5): Healthy, indeed. Filled with fresh salmon, tuna, white fish, crabmeat, avocado and wra[[ed in soy paper. It does come drizzled with eel sauce, so if you want to be extra healthy, ask them to take it out or put it on the side. This is my favorite item on the menu! Crunch Roll(5⁄5): A classic roll. Nothing much to comment about on this one. Hawaiian Poke Roll(5⁄5): Another popular(and fresh) roll! It’s basically your CA roll topped with a mountain of marinated poke. Need I say more? Unagi Bowl(2⁄5): It was packed with rice, so that was a plus. However, the eel to rice ratio was disappointing. By the time I mixed the bowl, there were barely any pieces of eel. After adding some soy sauce to it, it tasted much better. However, don’t think I would be ordering this again :/ Tempura Udon(4⁄5): Refreshing and had a deep flavor to it. Your udon is plain and simple and they bring your tempura on the side. Chicken Teriyaki with Sashimi Combo(5⁄5): Again, another popular. Sashimi comes with 2 pieces of tuna, salmon, albacore, and white fish. Wasn’t a huge fan of the salad dressing though. Overall, the prices and portions are great. The only reason why I gave 3 stars is for the lack of service which played a huge part both times I came here. +No water refills(had to ask multiple times for a single refill) +Friend’s entrée came out 30 minutes after I received mine — which by then I was already finished with mine +Healthy Roll never came out — when I asked to follow up on it, they apologized and it magically appeared 5 minutes later +Check is dropped off before we finish our food — didn’t even ask to see if we wanted anything else I’m not asking for 5 star quality service — I just want my cup to be refilled when empty and my food to come out at a reasonable time. Don’t get me wrong. The food’s amazing and 90% I’ll probably be back but please… be more attentive.

Excellent sushi, but they didn’t get 5 stars because the waiters are pushy. Seems like they are trying to push you out the door. That’s the second time it happened.

Good food and friendly service. The only problem was being charged $ 1 for another small bowl of rice. The first bow of rice that came with my meal(chic teri & tempura) was half full. I asked for a refill and was told it’ll be $ 1. What kind of bullshit is this? Sorry Full Moon, your food is not good enough of be charging for extra rice. Now I’ll think twice about coming here in the future. Just out of principal. I’m sure I’m not the only one one who feels this way. This is bad business.

This is the best sushi place we’ve ever been to. My wife and I go almost every week. Good prices, great food!

I’m super confused as to why the few times I’ve already been here, it’s never packed. The quality of the sushi and the friendliness of the servers make this place such an enjoyable experience. My husband and I were frequenting WASA for their happy hour, but after finding FULLMOON, the prices are always equivalent to happy hour prices. And the quality is so much better! Definitely give it a try! And I have yet to order a speciality roll I haven’t liked!

The service is okay, and the food is okay– that’s why I gave it a 3 star. We’ve been to other places with better quality and more quantity, and still less pricey. Overall, it was just okay.

Thought twice about a review so the place would not get packed but the deserve it. Great food, friendly staff, all waiters will check on you at all times. Lunch prices can’t be beat! My son who is 11 loves it here and will try what they recommend since he is comfortable with the waiters. My pizza and cheeseburger only eating son now has Udon and Tofu here, Yeah! I love the Healthy Roll in soy paper can’t get it anywhere else like they make it. Thank you!

The service is alright. The employees are nice but, they don’t smile a lot. It’s not that packed today and I don’t know why my food took so long. I am very satisfied with the low price of the food but, my sushi is quite ugly looking meaning that the crabmeat looks weird in my Cali rolls. The size and portion of my rolls doesn’t look enough to me also.

4 Stars = «Yay! I’m a fan» I absolutely am a fan of this place. In the general area I would either go to Gohan Sushi or Orange Roll & Sushi to get my Japanese fix. Gohan is owned and operated by Vietnamese people and the food shows it. Orange is not bad, but they never make their sauces right and throws off the flavor. Full Moon is… I have no idea, but their people making the sushi were Mexican(Latinos…whatever is politically correct I guess) and man do they do a good job. All the flavors were there. After eating here a few times I will never go back to Gohan and Orange. This place isn’t the best sushi place, but in the general area, it’s a solid 4 stars.

This is some really good sushi for the price. Pictured is the salmon, mackerel, yellowtail, salmon roe, scallop, and uni. And of course, my spicy tuna hand roll and his cut spicy tuna roll. When we first walked in we were greeted by a full staff, it was definitely about to get busy! We were seated in a booth area, and the place definitely has a dated feel. It wasn’t ghetto, just really dated. Old. The place started to fill in quickly and our food was brought out. Man, this was some really good sushi for the price. …Really good. The fish does not taste frozen or cold, it’s the right temperature for buttery goodness melt-in-your-mouth kind of fish. At one point I questioned whether or not I was eating butter or fish. The salmon roe was not overly salty like most places, even the premium restaurants. The uni could have been fresher but I mean, it was only one piece that came out a little watery. The taste was still definitely all there. I still dream of this place. For how Kaori in Fullerton is to their prices, this place is to its prices. It’s not better than Kaori, but it’s good for its price. We will be back. Definitely. Everything you see pictured ran us about $ 30USD.

This sushi place was quite crowded when I came with a group of four and it took about 15 minutes to get a booth. They have two menus that you can look at. One has pictures of the sushi rolls while the other has the other options such as the appetizers, main menu, and combos. –Fullmoon Roll: 4⁄5 This roll is deep dished and includes tuna, salmon, white fish, crabmeat, avocado, smelt. It also comes with the special sauce. The roll was flavorful but the tempura outer layer made it slightly overly fulfilling. –Healthy Fullmoon Roll: 5⁄5 This roll is the healthier version of the Fullmoon Roll but instead of a tempura outer layer has a soy paper layer. It also comes with the special sauce. Personally I preferred this roll since the soy paper gave it a light and airy taste that made you want to eat it more and more. –Crunch Roll: 4⁄5 This roll is the standard crunch roll which includes avocado, cucumber, crab meat, and shrimp tempura. It’s a good roll with the right amount of eel sauce so you don’t need to dip this in soy sauce. –Chicken Combo with salad: 3⁄5 The chicken came with a teriyaki sauce and was decent. The salad tastes about what you would try in other sushi places. I do have to say that their salad dressing was very flavorful compared to others I’ve tried. More tangy and with the right mix of flavors. –Poke Salad: 5⁄5 So much poke in one bowl! The poke was fresh and the light drizzle of special sauce they used. The poke is on top while the bottom has the rice. For the price of about $ 6 – 8 per roll or the bowls it’s a really good deal for the quality you are receiving. I have a feeling their strong selling point are their special sauces which are included depending on what you order. It is definitely now one of my preferred sushi spots in OC.

I had high hopes. Over 500 reviews and 4 stars… it’s supposed to be good right? WRONG. There was a bug in my drink and my salmon sashimi was brown. We ordered a few rolls and they were drenched in teriyaki sauce bullshit. We had vegetable tempura and the vegetables were still raw, hard to bite on. So many reviews said this fish was fresh. there was no such thing. We wasted 50 bucks on a horrible meal. I will never reaturn. The staff wasn’t even friendly nor the atmosphere good

This place rocks! The reason it gets 5 stars is pretty simple: 1) Reasonable — I don’t believe there is a roll over $ 11 2) Fresh quality — Sushi is always fresh, and something a bit unique to Full Moon, is just a bit colder than average sushi. Room temperature sushi always scares me, and this place always serves the sushi cold. 3) Great service — Sushi bar guys are great, the servers are attentive(fill your drinks/water, etc)

Fairwell Monster Sushi! My favorite AYCE Sushi restaurant has closed down so BF and I found ourselves looking for a new favorite at a moments notice. Boy these people in Tustin love their sushi! Every place we drove by was full on this Thursday night! Walked into Full Moon and sat down with a little trepidation. The place does not present well. It’s kind of dirty. The servers and the sushi chef’s were not Japanese. Heck most of them weren’t even Asian! What was missing was the feeling of sitting down at the sushi bar and being greeted in Japanese by men that barely speak English. It lends to an authenticity that I seek in restaurants. The angst stopped there… The food was fantastic! I enjoyed the most amazing Poke bowl with salmon and tuna so very fresh. Hints of ginger and onion throughout. I couldn’t stop eating it! The rolls were very good. The jalapeño yellow tail roll was so fresh and full of flavor. The tataki roll with spicy tuna and ponzu sauce had some nice heat and great flavor. We had to ask for a server to begin with but from that point forward our service was very good. We will definately return.

Good sushi place across the sprouts plaza. I’ve eaten both here and called in an order to go and the sushi is consistent. My favorite roll here is the their special full moon roll — less carbs(but t is deep fried) and more fish! Presentation and taste makes this roll superb. They also have a «healthy» full moon that you can opt out for if the deep fried part scares you. The volcano roll is good too but takes longer to come out cause they bake it so prepare to wait a little. Prices are affordable. Great atmosphere to meet up with friends or also a great date spot!

I went here on a Sunday afternoon and the restaurant was not busy. We got menus right away and the server came by multiple times to see if we were ready. Service was fast and reliable. We ordered the salmon skin salad, the poke bowl, and a couple of rolls. The salmon skin salad was drenched in sauce and soggy overall, and the salmon skin was not crunchy. The poke was still very cold, most likely from being frozen. Most of the rolls were okay, but I did enjoy the healthy full moon roll. The food was okay at best. Not a bad experience, but not particularly a good experience either, just okay overall.

Score! My husband and I went here for Mother’s Day dinner, just the two of us. This place is like a secret spot. We only went here because our other sushi bar down the street was closed. We got seated almost immediately at the sushi bar. Sushi chefs were really nice even though it was busy. Love the pricing here!!! So much more affordable than all the other sushi bars. We didn’t get any hand rolls mainly just nigiri pieces and they were amazingly fresh! Please don’t change the pricing because you’ve got a customer for LIFE! Highly recommend this place!

I have 2 words: Lunch Specials! I got the Full Moon special, which came with California rolls, Teriyaki chicken, a bowl of miso soup, rice, and salad for $ 7.50! Wowza! I love good food and I love great deals! The miso soup was very yummy. The Teriyaki chicken was delicious with the rice. Overall, it was a very filling meal and my wallet was happy. Credit cards accepted. Service is friendly and plenty of parking.
