The best Gyro I have had in OC. Ali and his family are fast friendly and professional. I have only gotten the gyro wrap but I intend to eventually try more items. I don’t understand why these guys aren’t more busy! Give them a try!

I’m kinda new to middle eastern food, but I’m glad I went here! Had the gyro plate and it was fantastic! Green sauce topped it off perfectly. But I ate it dry also and was just as happy. Great rice as well

Sitting in here now just blown away at the gyro I just ate. Amazing, thank you. Get yourself a #3 wrap with fries and a Sprite. The staff will be very attentive just as they were with me. Better than any chain like Daphne’s, can’t believe I’ve been wasting my time and money elsewhere!

Not bad. I would try it again some time. But not the best I’ve ever had. Also I would try wearing hair nets when dealing with food. I didn’t get hair in mine but another customer did and they were pretty po’d.

I have given this place some time after new management took over and couldn’t hold off anymore. This place used to be so delicious and a weekly trip to Tustin was worth the drive. The new owners claim to cook the same recipe, but the food/spices are clearly different. The chicken and rice were my favorite, and now the chicken has no flavor and the rice is a completely different kind. Today our office went and the rice was mushy and tasted almost like Spanish rice. I severely hope the owners read these reviews and cook the food that we are all expecting when we go there. This was one of my favorite places to eat, and they will lose so much business if they continue to go this route. Our entire office is extremely disappointed. :(

They remodeled this place, so it looks a lot more open and well lit on the inside. The serve generous portions on their gyro with the meat freshly cut and moist. The pita bread was just right, not to dry and crumbly, but holding up to the juicy meat inside. Excellent flavor, not to salty. Also, the side order of fries was surprisingly good and not just an afterthought. This is one of the better gyros I had and unlike Peter’s Gourmade Grill, they did not forget any portion of my order.

Excellent flavor and juiciness in the gyro meat and the koobideh. Great price for a large plate. Would absolutely return!

I’ve been coming here for awhile now, I’m actually not really sure why it’s taken me so long to write this review lol. What a nice little family owned restaurant. I think my dad discovered it on Unilocal one day so we decided to try it out. Otherwise, I don’t think I would’ve given this place a chance. It’s kinda in the middle of nowhere in a sad looking plaza but nonetheless, I’m glad I gave it the benefit of the doubt. My family always orders the boneless chicken and koobideh. Super bold and authentic flavors, I love how juicy the chicken comes out and the koobideh is great. However, I came in today and was sad to see that they changed the chicken. it’s not as good anymore cus I think they changed the ingredients and they also don’t give you as much. I hope the owner sees this and brings the old one back! But anyways, their hummus used to be only $ 2 and now it’s 4 but I still think it’s worth. It comes with warm pita bread and it just hits the spot everytime. I also can’t forget the lamb shank! So incredibly tender, like the meat literally just falls right off the bone. I see everyone else on here raving about the green sauce so I might as well mention it too! It’s soo good, super unique and unlike any other sauce I’ve tried before. It’s great on pretty much everything. But yeah, they will charge you if you ask for multiple for a togo order so for that reason, I recommend dining in. Staff is super friendly for the most part. Basically, I could go on and on about the food here, they just need to bring that chicken back!

Place is under new management, so the pita bread taste a little different. They charge .25 for the tiniest green sauce, if you ask for extra. Great food & service though. I love the Chicken Wrap and White Rice.

The Chapli Kabob plate and gyro plate were excellent. The green sauce on the table is delicious. The new owners are putting out great food. I’d like to see more drink choices, maybe something middle eastern. I’ll be back.

Hmmm… Went there cuz The Halal guys had a line and this place had good reviews. It was ok… Not great but ok. The rice was ok but the meat was well done. The salad came with no dressing.

This place isn’t bad. It’s gross! Lamb was hard like it had been sliced and sitting there all day under a heat lamp Food really salty Rice really salty, dry, and hard The corn dogs rolling on the 7 – 11 heat lamps at 3am are fresher than this food.

Delicious as delicious gets. Just found this place thanks to Unilocal itself, looking for some good Gyro. Though I haven’t tried much other than my favorite Gyro Wrap, I can definitely say that THAT… is amazing. Love both rice dishes, fries are great and really dig the green sauce. My girl gets the Chicken Wrap, which looks great as well. The owners and employees are beyond friendly and makes it even better. Looking forward to trying more.

Food is very good. The meat is fresh and cooked well. The service is excellent. The card machine was not working and they only accepted cash during my visit, however, the owner treated my wife and I to dessert which I thought was very nice. I got the gyro wrap with French fries. The plate came out hot and fresh. Honestly the only reason I didn’t give this place a 5 is because of the atmosphere and décor. However this place could be considered a nice hole in the wall establishment. Kudos to the owner and I wish them the best!

Quick Review: An absolute mom & pop, «greasy spoon» establishment, the owner is kind, the place is straight forward, the food is average and the service a bit absent. Pros: Gyros Cons: Doesn’t live up Gyro N Kabob is one of those places that has a long history in the neighborhood. Obviously a locals joint, GNK has character and the owner appears to have decades of experience under his belt. The Food Let’s just be honest, let’s just be real, the food is adequate, it’s a fair deal. Personally, I don’t find GNK raising the game above Daphne’s really, except GNK might cost just a smidge more(when you’re talking about plates). You have that authentic feel, but it’s more feel from the people and the venue than the food. I’ve had the gyro plate, no complaints, just middle of the road dining. I’ve also had the gyro wrap, just fine and a fair value. The Service While I was treated respectfully and by any standard, nicely, I thought the service was a bit absent-minded. It was a slow evening, that’s fine but the person taking my order(I assume the owner) was more concentrated on the TV than my order or questions. I also opted for french fries with my wrap, as suggested by the owner but the wait for the food was a bit long and I was trying to get home. So when it was ready, I thanked him, headed out, got home excited to enjoy my food and what! no fries. I was the only customer in the room and he suggested the fries so I thought that oversight was pretty huge. Would I Return to GNK? No, I wouldn’t. Missing food when you get home always leaves a bad taste. The flavor just doesn’t compel me. Based on reviews, GNK seems hit or miss.

Great gyros and Kabobs. I especially like the Koobideh. Friendly service. Very generous portions and owner run that cares about it’s customers and bringing value too.

I ordered takeout at 6pm, only a ten minute wait. Wasn’t crowded at all at dinner time, this is more Of a lunch rush place. Great and friendly service, Ali is super friendly. There is a check-in offer, free bolani. These were a triangular shaped deep fried appetizer with potato I think inside. Pretty tasty! I ordered the gyro plate and the boneless chicken plate. Both come with 2 slices of pita bread, pretty standard. Also both had half white rice half brownish flavored rice. The seasoning on the rice was good. The gyro was good, tasted pretty authentic. Boneless chicken didn’t wow, but it was good. Wasn’t too dry, pretty good.

Met up here with my cousin for lunch last week. He got the Gyro plate and I went with the Chapli Kabob plate. Wish I stuck with the Gyro. The beef patty was really dry and not very appealing in any sense. Dipping it in the hot sauce helped, but it wasn’t enough to save it. My cousin liked his gyro, so I’d go with that next time. I’d try the Kabuli Palau too… that looks good. Service was really friendly.
