Let me start by I absolutely love Soup Plantation! This one Not so much. We went for lunch today, I told the girl 1 adult, 1 senior and 1 child– 6 yrs old. She refused to give me the 2 – 6 price for children. Then The man that was cleaning tables literally took the platter and plate I was eating from. I saw a man in the back cooking area with a towel on his hair and swimtrunks on. Oh well this soup plantation was weird!

I’m one of those regular customers that usually eat my launch at souplantation, all locations I’ve been there were great. I’m happy with souplantation:)

This is a pretty nice location. They have the best selection of soup, however, not much if you cannot eat dairy or meat. Last time I went they had the most amazing cheese and smoked ham soup. Also the BLT salad with avocado was very tasty. Luckily I had coupons as I personally think they are over priced for soup and salad especially when their salads have no meats.

Customer service goes a looooong way. I forgot to ask their names but they were the ones on duty today, June 3, 2016, 2:30 pm so you know who you are. The first kudos is to the cashier. She had a lovely smile. We told her it is our first time there and she gave us a cookie. It was not so much the cookie but her smile. The second is to the bus boy. I just hate that term, «bus boy.» Seems demeaning especially applying to this guy. This guy was so hardworking and non-stop. But he did his job with a smile. To both, we apologize as we didn’t have cash to leave as a tip but I can guarantee you, both of you are priceless! And yeah, the food was good too.

Please wash your utensils better! Plate’s and trays were filthy I was cleaning them my self with water. Everything in the salad, soup and pizza bar was good.

Refused to accept Unilocal offer because it «didn’t have a bar code to scan.» Does Unilocal just make up random offers that don’t exist now? Bad business practices!

It’s my very first time at Souplantation, I liked it but I was expecting more variety of food. Mainly we found vegetables, pastas and soups, other than that I couldn’t find meat, fish or chicken. So for vegetarians this place is great, for non-vegetarians like myself, I was hoping for more. It is very family oriented, it could get a little loud too, but it’s ok.

Compared to the other Souplantations in Irvine and Foothill Ranch, this one is the best. We’ve been here at least 5 times and the food quality is fresh and amazing. My salads are from local farms. Veggies are fresh. My kid loves their peas! Yes the green kind! She’s eating them only here. She refuses to eat green peas any where else. Muffins are good too. Soups are constantly being refilled. No more standing in long lines to fight for soup. Service is friendly and helpful. The only pain is parking. Other than that this place is great. The building could use a bit of remodeling and renovation. But overall this is a great Souplantation.

Souplantation is a tradition for my family. We’ve been going here as long as I can remember. The food is good, but not outstanding. It’s better when you get it fresh. Since it’s a buffet, the food sits out for a while. There’s a lot of variety, and I love getting to make my salad just the way I like it, but… it is a soup and salad restaurant, so dishes with a substantial amount of meat are limited to items like the chicken noodle soup(which is a favorite of my dad’s). It’s been a while since I was here last, and they’ve done some remodeling. They seem to be going for an industrial, farm-to-table look. Even the utensils and glasses have been replaced. For me, the utensils are a little clumsy to use and the glasses look dirty even when they’re clean. But even before the new glasses, dirty dishes have been a recurring issue in my experience. When picking up a new plate, soup bowl, or ice cream bowl, there’s a good chance that there will be some leftover food on them that the dishwasher didn’t get. I just put the dirty ones aside and keep looking until I find a clean one.

A good spot if you’re craving soup or salad. Most people expect too much from a place like this. You have to know what you’re getting into and be creative in building your own plates. Pros: — All you can eat. — Salad bar has a large array of ingredients to build your ultimate salad dish. — The soups are generally pretty good and there’s a variety to choose from. — The bus boy was friendly and quick at picking up our plates when we were finished with each round. He deserves a better tip than most servers. — Blueberry muffins. Cons: — The food area tends to be a bit messy at times as you should expect since it’s a free for all with everyone there. — There’s people everywhere. You may be bumped and have to avoid collisions. Be like a ninja and you will survive.

Customer service: The cashier on duty this evening was not really friendly she looked like she wasn’t happy to be there after we paid she handed us the cups and right away turned over to the next customer so we walked away slowly and my mom and I didn’t feel welcomed so that’s not a good sign when dining out. The manager on duty was super friendly and helpful he looked liked he actually enjoyed helping people and was fast when it came to answering customers questions or picking up empty plates etc. Also no military discount which is ok but others that I been in have but no big deal. Overall the best part was the pasta/salad bar and how you can get unlimited everything but the desert section isn’t good it’s all very bland and not sweet and tasty unless you get ice cream. And the soup station was very messy they should try a little harder to keep that area a little cleaner. Ok place… could do better but I would still come back in the future if I’m ever in the area again.

We were heading home from work and passed Souplantation. So we decided to come back and have lunch/dinner. Omg I LOVE it. There is variety of soups &salads. I love the fact that you can add ANYTHING to the salads. I wish the salads were all you can eat. I was told you could only get it in the beginning, but I’m not sure. This place is never lonely! Family oriented of course!

Every time we eat at this Souplantation my wife and I get sick. The first time we thought it was a coincidence but when it happens 4 times in a row, we are reluctant to eat here. On a side note, I don’t appreciate that one of the catering delivery guys poured soup all over my car today when I went in to get coffee. You should fire the guy.

I’m only going to review the restaurant itself and not the food as it’s a chain and most people already know what to expect. The stars are for the food(always decent) and the busboy who kept stopping by to pick up dirty dishes. Side note: the pastas were old and overcooked. The restaurant was a mess, I’m sad to say. Several salad bowls were empty, there was no tomato(wait, what? no tomato at a salad bar??) and no eggs. The potato fixing station was covered in sour cream, bacon, and scallions and the soft serve station was disgusting. I like this chain, but don’t think I’ll be going to this location again.

Today I give them 5 stars. Since I was there at opening everything was clean and well stocked as it should have been. I hate going back for more salad since you have to almost go to the front door. I load the plate high. Soup is no problem, I get many refills. Their Broccoli soup is my favorite but they don’t always have it. Today’s my lucky day, they had it. I was greeted by all the employees I came across. Also as I finished with each plate it was picked up. I’ve been to places where I had a huge place stack of dirty dishes.

When you wanna eat healthy but deep down you’re a fatty… NORAGRETS. Guys seriously tho Souplantation has seriously stepped up their game in the past couple of years and has undergone some small changes but has gotten so much better, I’m impressed. They updated their soup bowls to make them easier to handle and new utensils as well. I think they added more seating too and the food is still the same great, fresh quality! I also noticed a lot more new veggie options in the salad bar(+1!) Another thing worth mentioning is the new and improved mac n cheese! I love how they made the sauce a little lighter and the pasta is now gluten free! It’s also cooked to perfection. the pasta isn’t too heavy but just enough body. Chicken noodle soup is the same old, and so are the baked goods. The baked potato is always a good meal finisher. It seriously comes out piping hot and I personally like to throw in some cheese and mix in a side of sour cream & bacon. Mmmmm. Everything was refilled fast and came out quick, fresh, and delicious! I can’t help but sneak some blueberry muffins in my purse everytime I go here lol. The workers here are all attentive and seem quite productive too. They always do a great job of making you feel right at home so I always remember to leave a tip after I’m done. I also noticed this location has a slightly higher rating than most other Souplantations, and there’s probably a reason for that :-) This Souplantation is really the whole package. Tips: — togo options available! $ 7 for a large container for salad, different cup sizes for soups, and a bakery bag for a dozen baked goods for $ 5

I would say Souplantation is more of a salad buffet than anything else. The salad bar at the beginning isn’t too bad. They have a good selection. The soups are okay. The pizza is more like puff bread with some cheese. Dessert is mainly soft serve frozen yogurt & some muffins. As long I you don’t expect to leave feeling«stuffed», I’d say this place is AOK!

This is where I go to when I feel like having soup and salad. Beside their big chunk chicken noodle soup, I really enjoy their Asian ginger broth with few pieces of tofu or crispy wonton skins and green onions. I could drink like 3 cups. LOL Just last Saturday visit, I found there’s a spicy udon soup. It’s definitely spicy. It’s not really udon more like spaghetti noodle. It’s OK. Their big chunk chicken noodle soup and Asian ginger broth are still my favorites.

Sadly, this place turned out to be a disappointment. Everything here was either overseasoned, dry or simply not satisfying for my palate. Only the clam chowder was my favorite! However, what disgusted me the most was the dirty utensils and plates. They looked like someone merely sprayed them with water and that’s it.

Because sometimes you want to eat like a pig and still be «healthy»… Soup and salad buffet for $ 11.29!(dinner price) *Salads: Asiago Caesar, Wonton Happiness(my favorite), Taco Salad, create your own… *Soups: I usually have the creamy clam chowder and the chicken noodle as it’s not as heavy *Flatbreads and pasta: I usually just grab a little bit of each. The pastas are my least favorite as they’re pretty plain *Pastries: I love their crispy on the outside, soft on the inside corn bread, blueberry muffins, and not sure if it’s new but it was my first time: horchata muffin with coconut milk, topped with cinammony sugar, sooo good! This location is in the same plaza as Gen KBBQ, with lots of parking. It also seems remodeled and bright with lots of families. Great value!
