It can be terrifying going to a new dentist. One too many experiences where I felt like I was being attacked by a butcher and left with my mouth aching has left me skeptical of a new dentist until I see how they clean my teeth. Dr. Young was recommended to me by my bf and has been a great experience so much so that even though my insurance does not fully cover him because he is out of my network, I still pay the extra money to go to Dr. Young. (I have blue cross and for me it’s about an extra $ 20, not bad).
The office is very cozy and everyone I’ve interacted with there has been extremely nice. I’ve never had to wait for more than 5 minutes when I show up for an appointment (as it should be! When did it become okay for Dr.‘s and Dentist’s to leave you waiting for forever when you have an appointment?!)
I loved the digital x-​ray equipment they used when I had x-​rays at my first appointment. I kept gagging as they were trying to get the x-​rays, but they were super patient and took their time so they got all of the x-​rays without making me too uncomfortable.
MOST IMPORTANTLY: My gums are not bleeding like crazy after a cleaning! The hygienist was very gentle and thorough and even though I’m not an amazing flosser, my gums were barely irritated after both cleanings I’ve had there. Dr. Young is very friendly and experienced and I felt totally comfortable with him.
I’d absolutely recommend this dentist to anyone!
