Not worth the money! I’m not saying the food was bad, it was good, but it was not worth what we payed. It is ridiculously expensive. I do love their peach cobbler though. It is about the only thing worth how much it cost. We didn’t want to eat inside because it is run down and very stuffy when there is more than a party or two. Or waitress was nice, but she didn’t come check on us very often and we never once got a refill. Won’t be back, not worth it at all.

My wife and I shared a full rack of delicious ribs with the whisky sauce. The meat fell off the bones and the flavor was bold and delightful. The sides of cornbread, baked beans, and Coleslaw were delicious and flavorful as well. They have an assortment of draught(16 or 22 oz.) and bottled beers, as well as wine. There was no additional charge to use a Visa card as reported previously.

Best ribs in the area by far. Maybe in SoCal. I’m from KC and lived in TX so usually I find CABBQ to be weak and dry at best. Only thing that could have made it five stars would be a spicy BBQ sauce.

Great food, great service. Will not return because they charge you to use a credit card. Don’t air your disdain for the % charge the CC companies charge you. Just raise each menu item slightly.

I went to a place called The Rib Co. in the desert and ordered a steak. I’m not very smart. The steak was diner style thin, tough, flavorless, and a cheap piece of D grade beef. The sides were alright. should have just gotten the ribs.

Doesn’t matter how good the ribs are if you never get to eat them. Truly the worst service ever. When we arrived, we were told the wait would be half an hour – but shorter if we sat outside. 30 minutes came and went – and then another 15. Now I love the smell of barbecue as much as anyone, but spending 45 minutes at an outdoor table wreathed in smoke makes you wonder if Mexican might be a better idea. I noticed that the couple next to us got some traction when they began to complain, so t tried — only to be told that it would be at least another 15 minutes because the kitchen was so busy. Not a word of apology from the waitress; rather, she seemed to find it an inconvenience that we wanted to be served at all. «A party of 12 came in before you» is not my problem, it’s yours –and you owe me the courtesy of a reasonably accurate waiting time. I’ve had great barbecue across the country, served with a side of courtesy and even a sense of humor. So I won’t be coming back here. The Mexican turned out to be pretty darned good.

It’s an ok bbq joint. The prices are ludicrously high and the service is slow in the kitchen, but you can’t rush good bbq. I’ve had better, but you’ll have to leave the desert to find better than this spot. I’d say this is a once in a blue moon kind of place.

Very average service, food and décor. I can forgive all if the food is good. Ribs were not cooked slow and low, the meat appeared to have only been cooked an hour at best. I had the pull pork sandwich, the best part was the bun… wasn’t overly greasy but veered towards being too dry with no flavor or interest. No sauce until we asked for it. Not bbq.

This place for being located in 29 palms CA is awesome. First off the interior is pretty basic. Wasn’t loud or quiet very family oriented. Food as amazing and for the price it real stuffs you. I’m totally coming again.

Well I can not say if the food was good or not. I called for delivery and was asked if I could hold for a second. Well after 13 minutes of listening to them talk to each other and greet people coming in, I had enough of the wait game. Maybe one day I’ll get to try them.

Delish !! Ribs were amazing… steak was melt in your mouth… potato salad was just like home made… baked beans were to die for and the service was amazing ! We always drive by on our way to Laughlin and say«next time we will stop» I am pleased that this was the next time. This will be a regular stop for us from now on. Hubby couldn’t stop talking about it! If you’re in 29… you have to stop !

Awesome place! Great service and the food was fantastic. A little pricey compared to the other food options in Yucca Valley, but most bbq will cost you $ 10+ a person so it was really very average. Burgers were huge, ribs were fantastic, and they serve Pepsi products for those that care. Our waitress was great. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a nicer meal than fast food. Absolutely hit the spot offer rock climbing all day at the park!

I wanted to surprise my girlfriend to a very special dinner, since she just got back from over seas keeping America free. And boy did I ever surprise her with the rib co. The meats were sensational, the sides delightful, and the service was unmatched. A real treat of a restaurant in the middle of the high dessert. If you don’t like yummies for you tummy, or tasty for your facey, stay away!

This is one of the best BBQ restaurants I have been to anywhere in America. (1) The ribs were far and away the best I have ever eaten — the texture, the flavor of the pork, and the seasonings/sauces were perfect. I ate here on consecutive nights, ordering the Triple Threat the first night and the St. Louis Style the second night. The latter were the best though both were superb. (2) The Cornbread Muffins with Honey Butter could be easily justified being eaten by the basket. (3) The baked beans were leagues above any I’ve had — an excellent balance of tangy and sweet. (4) The servers work incredibly hard with an warm attitude. 2 servers handle the single dining room of 30+. Sometimes this means a bit of a wait to actually be seated — but it is completely worth it. If I am ever back in Twentynine Palms/Joshua Tree(or within 1 hour), I will be here.

If you’re in 29 Palms for a night or a week, you could eat a world class authentic BBQ meal at The Rib Co. every single night and wish you had more nights to fit in one more dinner here. Whether you eat in or take out, order anything on the menu — in this order … Ribs, Steak, Wings, blah blah. It’s all really just fantastic. Smokey, effortless and to-the-bone satisfaction. The sides are also great, salads, potato dishes, veggies. My favorite is to stay at the nearby 29 Palms Inn and bring my meals home to eat there. And don;t under any circumstances forget to order the Peach Cobbler at least one time. If you found this review helpful, please click USEFUL! I appreciate it!

This is definitely not a fancy place, but the food we had was good and plentiful. We each had a half-rack of ribs, which came with corn muffins, beans, and coleslaw. We did not need appetizers, and we had no room for dessert! The service was friendly. There are not a lot of tables. The only negative was the $ 2.50 fee for dying credit or debit. Not cool, and probably in violation of their agreement. But we had a discount for staying at the nearby Best Western, so it all balanced out.
