When you walk up you see people waiting outside this hole in the wall. The door says«wait outside, we will get you. No check-in, no leaving a name, nothing.» There was a family of seven waiting so that made it look a lot worse than it was. We almost walked away and the host came out and grabbed the seven and brought them in. We had two parties ahead of us, so we waited. Another couple stepped in line after us and I inquired had they been here before and had they waited like this, they vigorously shook their heads yes they had been here and had waited in a lot longer lines to eat there. They spend every vacation there in Tybee and eat breakfast here every morning they are here. So we definitely stuck around. When it was our time, they only had bar seating available and I cautiously took it. At 6’8″ 350lbs, bar seating doesn’t always work for me. This did work for me and I was glad it did, the bar is the best seat in the house! You get to see all the action happen with the grill! Anyway, I had the shrimp and grits and they were amazing! The fresh sauteed shrimp and garlic butter in the grits, man it was good. My wife had a vegitable omelet that she said was great as well. The coffee was pretty darn tasty too. We love this place and highly recommend it for the food and atmosphere.

Great place! Best music playlist ever(80’s Rock). I had the Popeye omelette and hash browns and it was excellent! The wife had the chicken fried chicken with gravy and it was great. Best advice if you are worried about your health this is not the place to come. If you are here for good«heart stopping» food this is the place to be! Service is good, they messed up in our order and quickly apologized and bounced back! Come here if you want a great breakfast !

Great staff and delicious food(come hungry as you’ll be full until almost dinner time). We loved it and will be back next time we vacation in Tybee.

I read the reviews and expected more. I ordered the French toast and it was ok. It is a dive, but doesn’t pay it off with great food or atmosphere. I’m not a local, so I realize that I probably just don’t get it. :45 wait outside in the sun could have been used better.

We got there Sunday at 11 and there was a line of 20 or so, but in 10 minutes we got seated, they would come out and ask if there were parties of 1 or 2 as they became available. We sat at the bar. They were crazy busy, but friendly. The food was decent. Not worth the hype though. I had an omelette that needed salt with not quite toasty toast and good grits. Our water never got refilled they noticed and said they’d bring us more water but were so busy never got around to it.

Very fresh quick and tasty breakfast. Eggs were good, 4 slices of bacon and the grits were on point! My wife got a waffle and it had a unique flavor. Very good. We will eat here again on this trip!

I was vacationing in Savannah and over the weekend I decided to check out Tybee Island. I had received some suggestions from others on what to do and see in Tybee and everybody recommended checking out Breakfast Club for breakfast. After driving about 30 minutes from downtown Savannah, I finally got to the Breakfast Club which look like a shady old building on the side of a busy road. There is a parking lot in front of the entrance where you have to feed meters to park which is a little annoying. After parking and walking towards the front door, the first thing I saw was all the notices and signs that were taped to the windows and the door of the building. Some examples include: «Restrooms are for customers only,» «You must be fully clothed to enter», and«Please wait outside to be seated.» With all these scary looking hand-written notices on bright colored paper, I started thinking if everybody that suggested this place was trying to pull a joke on me. The line outside was just 5 person deep and I was seated at the bar overlooking the kitchen within 10 minutes. Right away I noticed how hectic the kitchen was. There were people chopping vegetables, folks cracking 5 eggs on the griddle, and the owner at the end arranging food on the plate. I ordered the«Helen’s Solidarity» which came with diced potatoes, polish sausage, green peppers and onions tossed on a hot griddle, scrambled with 2 eggs, topped with melted Monterey Jack and American cheese. Grits and toast were included as well. All that came out to just $ 11.50. The food was very tasty and not overly greasy or salty. From where I was sitting, I could tell that the owner took great care in cutting toasts with great precision and neatly arranging the food on the plate. It was an organized chaos to say the least. If you are ever in Savannah and feel like venturing out a bit for breakfast, I highly recommend giving Breakfast Club a chance. The owner has catered at JFK Jr’s wedding and has been featured on numerous TV shows. The food is fresh, tasty, and very affordable.

Couple of things you need to know: this place is tiny and there’s probably gonna be a line. Don’t panic. It moves fast and it’s worth the short wait. Come hungry. Come realllly hungry bc the food is all you could hope for from a great old school diner and the portions are huge. The 6 of us managed to get a pretty broad sample of the menu. Highlights: anything involving any of the excellent house-made sausage. The hashbrowns. The waffle — which is so rich and buttery tasting that you don’t even need butter. The pepper gravy is just like your MawMaw used to make before her miserably ungrateful kids packed her off to the home. Service is super fast and very friendly — no small feat in such a packed and popular place. There’s a reason why people rave about The Breakfast Club. Go eat!

Dive kind of diner, with a fantastic breakfast menu. Not at all a cookie cutter type options. You can’t go get your name on a waiting list, you literally have to wait outside in a line and when you get to the door, then they ask about your party size. Was about a 30 minute wait in line but it was absolutely worth it.

There’s a lot to like here. Good food fast service. BUT here’s where it falls apart. It’s a small place with little($ 2 hour parking bring quarters) parking. Expect to wait outside in a long line in whatever weather you encounter — cold, wind, rain, heat. They do NOT let you wait inside. OK go when it’s slow and when it’s not even when you’d prefer to be there. Good luck.

Probably my favorite meal while staying on Tybee Island. You can’t go wrong with a diner/divey breakfast joint. I ordered take out but the place looks like it would be great to just sit at the counter and watch the line cooks do their thing. The family tried a variety of items from the omelet with their homemade sausage, loaded/stuffed hash brown, pecan waffle and even a burger for someone in the family who was craving one for breakfast. All the dishes were excellent. The hash browns were a new thing for me being stuffed with cream cheese… let me tell you, it works. I’ll be trying that out at home from now on(although not sure that I should be doing it that often for my health’s sake). The burger was awesome as well, greasy perfection loaded with the right amount of toppings and a buttered bun to sop it all up. I highly recommend this to anyone visiting Tybee Island.

Ok breakfast, not my number one on tybee tho. Very small place, usually a line. We got right in. We had a breakfast sandwich, large hashbrown thing with cream cheese and a couple of omelets.

Diner style very small with a few counter seats and open kitchen — but this place is a few notches above a typical diner, with delicious homemade sausage, fresh veggies, loads of spinach, and best of all — REALEGGS, like crack open eggs and whip them up for your omelet, instead of that processed and preserved crap out of a carton. Delicious breakfast! I had an omelet with sausage, peppers, onions, spinach, and cheese with grits and marinara sauce — not something I would normally order at all but it was a special and I went with it and I’m so glad I did, it was fabulous! Be prepared to wait. Line forms outside along the side of the building and they’ll let you know when there’s room inside.

Great food can come from the simplest of concepts. The breakfast club is simple, but simply amazing. Hard working staff create an atmosphere that I love. Care about the food and service, and you have happy guests. Tip the line cooks. They want that beer money; and they deserve every penny. Wow!!!

Quick and friendly service. So many options on the menu, but everyone at my table was happy with whatever they got. Be careful of what you get though, if you don’t want to food-coma afterwards!

This local family owned business is from Chicago, woohoo my tome town. Hubby and I were visiting Tybee Island and he was starving. He saw this place as we parked to go to the beach and we checked the reviews and knew we had to try it. There was a very long line and I was like what I don’t want to wait in line. Luckily there was close by shops so hubby stood in line while I visited the local boutiques. Yes the line is all outside lined up in the front of the restaurant. By time I returned we only waited maybe ten more minutes. They open the door and tell you to come in one table at a time. Great concept as there is no room inside and they keep the crowd under control this way. The inside is casual with pictures all over of Chicago. Luckily it was nice and cool inside so I was happy. The menu is small with breakfast specials, and a few sandwiches. I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich with hash browns. The grilled cheese was good, nothing special but the hash browns were excellent. Then oh my hubby ordered an omelet with Italian sausage, spinach, cheese, tomatoes and mushrooms. It was called«The Luigi»… Although I am not a huge breakfast person hubby had me try it and wow this was the BEST omelet I have ever tasted. Everything was so fresh and the flavors were divine. We saw waffles, French toast and other menu items come out to tables next to us and everything looked delicious. Trust me it is worth the short wait. They are only open til 2pm. If you are in the area this is a excellent breakfast spot. Great food, very reasonable prices and wonderful friendly service.

Decent breakfast spot. Kind of an upscale Waffle House, with short order line cooks. Can’t go wrong with basic sausage and eggs. The pecan waffle’s not bad, but it’s never as good as I want it to be. All the pecans seem to end up in the very middle and aren’t spread throughout. There’s always a line of people down the street, waiting to be seated. Hop in the back and don’t despair; the line moves a lot quicker than you’d think. I’ve never waited more than twenty-five minutes. The staff is friendly, the food is decent, the music is good(an interesting mix of classics. This morning we heard the Beatles, Johnny Cash, and Tom Petty, for example). I’ve been several times and will return on future trips to Tybee Island.
