Yummy pizza and fun atmosphere. Giant slices. We went on a Friday evening and they were very busy and under staffed, so we waited a long time for our food. But the friendly staff and great food were worth it.

We came here for lunch & loved it. Cheap & delicious. If you’re not very hungry, just order one $ 4 slice of pizza, bc really it’s 2 slices. Nachos are huge & can be shared among a few people. We sat out on the patio, music playing, would recommend!

Fantastic pizza. Believe them when they say 1 slice is enough for 1 person! It’s the equivalent to 3 – 4 normal slices. I especially loved the Federale! The service was pretty bad, but they were slammed.

Good size portions but the pizza taste like bread with a slash of sauce and they use cheap cheese and toppings there’s no flavor to any of it the service sucks the tea pitcher that was brought to the table is still dirty

My family comes here every year when we visit! The pizzas are amazing. We get the team banana and the G’s burger pizzas. Staff is so nice and welcoming! Atmosphere is laid back, would definitely recommend.

Sit outside, get some booze in a plastic cup and enjoy the locals. Or stop by the hot sauce shop and try some samples before you stop by. Didn’t have any food, but the drinks were priced fairly and the nachos looked tasty. C’mon. You are on Tybee Island. What the heck else do you want?

You have to give them a try if you are on the island. You will know when you get there whether or not you want to eat there. I think it’s fun, the pizza has always been good and the service has been friendly. It does take about 20 – 30 minutes to get your pizza if they are moderately busy, it can be loud and they allow dogs, which I love but, you may not. It’s working checking out!

OMG Food was tasty and cheap. Awesome dive bar. Must go. Service was slow at the bar inside. Hot guys and girls.

Place has beach charm, but is a little dirty. Pizza slices are good & a great value, cooked to order most of time. Drinks here are made awesome & great value. Nachos are huge, but I don’t get the sour cream baked under the cheese, tortilla chips are food service grade & ‘beef’ or ‘chili’ on them is not good. Most of the staff there are amazing people & know your drink if you come in regularly. Bar staff don’t pay much attention to what’s on the tv’s but they’ll accommodate your request for a program. Smoking allowed there in the bar is a big negative, but it’s a fun place.

Great pizza and price! Love the nontouristy atmosphere. A definite stop in our day. Cannot wait to be a local so we can come more often.

I love me a hole in the wall. Especially if they make a good rum runner and are located on an island. Come to Huca Poos for the great pizza, the locals that add a lot of flavor, and for the insane wall art. You’re gonna see anything from old ads from the 50s to crazy signatures and hoodoo idols. If it seems too weird, get another slice and another rum runner. I loved sitting at the bar and soaking in some of the good vibes this place put out. You can eat on the patio, or lounge on the inside. Whatever you do, don’t leave Tybee without stopping by for a slice. I loved the slice with feta and banana peppers. It was cooked just right, and one slice is more like a small personal pan.

Great, laid back place! Friendly staff. Loved the pizza! One slice was HUGE, plenty big enough for my husband and I to share. Loved this little dive.

I’m giving 3 stars for the food only. If I was going to hang out at the place for the night at the bar, then I would probably up the rating to a 4⁄5 star. It’s a cool little place near the beginning of Tybee Island off of the road. It had a good vibe to it, and I’m sure it’s a great place to drink a few beers and listen to music. I got a pizza and salad to go. The pizza’s are huge so I’ll give them that. The crust/dough could be better. I thought the pizza was a little too saucy so if too much sauce is a problem for you then you may want them to go light on it. The salad was fresh. All in all it’s probably a much better place to spend the evening at rather than just get take out. I’m sure those pizza’s go down well after a night a drinking.

I’m giving this place 5 stars because for me it is exactly what a family on vacation needs. Be forewarned people do smoke on the deck, so if that bothers you, go elsewhere. We loved it because the price to eat out in Tybee is high and this place is the exception. We got the omnivore pie for $ 15.00. Beers were $ 2! The loaded nachos were $ 7. This fed our family for 2 meals. The off season atmosphere outside was laid back and friendly. Hits from the 80s and 90s were playing and my son enjoyed playing the ring on a rope game and drawing on the giant chalkboard. We loved it so much, we went twice in one week.

Cheap drinks, total dive bar that is pet friendly, rugrat friendly, and after seeing the crowd anything goes here! We came over from Savannah to check out Tybee Island. After a few hours we got into our car and started driving around the island. Oh look honey, shopping, cute little cottages as we passed them up. Hurry quick, make a U-turn and go back. Of course my hubby is great and does not mind me checking out local shops. I started hitting all the cute shops, doing what I do best, shop and find unique thing’s. I had no idea where my husband went and after an hour or so he called me to make sure I wasn’t lost somewhere, LOL He told me he was at Huca Poos and to hurry and meet him. I saw it when we parked and thought wow that looks like a cool hangout. I finished up my shopping and walked up the stairs and saw my husband sitting at the outside bar doing shots with strangers. He had met a couple and they were very friendly and were just wanting to party. The bartender was awesome, she made me Patron Margarita’s that were the strongest I have ever had. Trust me this place does not shy away from baby pours. Hell yes now this is one cool bar! The bartender had her kids playing behind the bar, patrons surrounded us of all kinds but everyone seemed to do there own thing without bothering you. I saw plenty food come out. The pizza looked amazing. They have an inside bar as well but it was super hot in there when I walked in just to check it out. We were quite comfy sitting at the bar outside and had fun with the couple we met and several different bartenders who were quite the funny characters. They had several draft beers from the local area that hubby tried and really enjoyed. This place is just what it is, a cool dive bar, inexpensive cocktails and beer, great service in a fun laid back super chill atmosphere. We had a fabulous time and probably would have stayed all night if not for us having dinner reservations. So happy we found you as it made our trip to Tybee Island that much more fun!

As a pizza fan, there are certain things you look for. Huc-A-Poos has the things you are looking for in a pizza joint. Order pizza by slice or by pie, with many toppings to choose from. Delicious sauce, crispy crust on the bottom and tasty crust at the end of the slice. They have things other than pizza too– and a friendly wait staff to help you feel like you’ve been there millions of times before. If I lived close, I’d be here weekly(at least)

The best way to find the coolest places in a town is to ask the locals. Then check Unilocal,of course. Some friendly locals recommended Huc-A-Poos to us a few years ago. We’ve been going every summer since. You know pretty much immediately that it’s a place where the locals hang out. People are constantly yelling back and forth, «Hey! Long time no see!» and slapping each other on the back. It’s definitely a dive bar, but it’s tons of fun. There are license plates and neon signs and fun paintings covering every inch of the walls — and the ceiling. There are also signed dollar bills plastered everywhere. They say things like, «Spring Break 2014!» and«B + J Wedding», with signatures. It’s kind of fun to read them. It’s a pet friendly place, even inside. So if you’re the sort of person who is going to be bothered by the fact that a big black lab is panting near the bar, don’t come here. It’s also family friendly, though the locals recommend that you don’t bring kids after dark. It can get a bit loud & rowdy at night. It’s a bar, after all. The pizza is good and you can’t beat the value. One pizza can easily feed four adults. For about $ 15. The Carnivore(with the simple but accurate description of «Meat, Meat, Meat») is a favorite, as is The Omnivore(«The garbage can of pizzas»). Service can be a bit slow, since they’re always super busy. Tables are a free-for-all. Just plop down at an empty table, even if it hasn’t been cleaned yet. It may take a bit to get noticed and offered a menu. Take that time to look around the place. And you can always look the menu up online and have your order ready as soon as the server comes by. The servers, even when they’re slammed, are friendly. After dinner last night, ours said, «How was the pizza?» We told him it was delicious. He responded with a wink, «No one ever complains about the food, just the service.» I have no complaints at all.

Alright… I am just going to go ahead and warn you this place is a total beach dive! I sat and watched the same bug crawl back and forth on the window moulding next to me. There is no air conditioning and very noisy. But… Dang this place has personality plus! Great music, great wait staff and the pizza is my favorite pizza ever, anywhere! I always get the omnivore with added dill pickles. Let me say I do not eat olives. Ever. But something about this pizza, they have to be there. My daughter who is a very picky eater and does not eat mushrooms, olives, or banana peppers loved it too. The combination of flavors is fantastic! I don’t know what they do to their sauce but it is Fabulous. The crust is well, crusty and the perfect thickness. The pizza is worth watching a bug crawl next to you back and forth. Tis that good. :)

The pizza is really good! The beer is cold. Limited menu but it doesn’t matter. Great place to hang out after the beach. Parking is fairly easy. They have cornhole, tvs, and something for everyone. My favorite spot on Tybee.

We there were 5 of us here around 6 pm on a random Wednesday. It was busy but we still seated ourselves fairly quickly. Service was spotty, our waiter was really busy and didn’t have a lot of time for us. We ordered the loaded nachos and a couple of pizzas. The nachos were fantastic, as was the pizza. It was difficult getting a box. First one was really dirty(eww) and then a lady brought us an actual pizza box, which worked. Food was good, experience… not so much.
