Love Bruno’s, but the older location is best, just a bit further for us & a little out of the way. If this location is busy, you can easily have to wait some time. Can’t help but wonder if maybe they bring the pizza in from the other location as it doesn’t seem as fresh as the other location. That said, it is still a good place. The older location definitely has the best pizza I have ever had & salad is big. Thinking now about trying their lasagna & meatball sandwich. Always seem to be busy. Will return. We always get the pizza with everything. Last time it seemed like the meats were either over cooked or old. It was still good.

Love the thin crust pepperoni — you can also get it on wheat crust. Always consistent.

I am very happy to see that they have a second location in Tyler along with the original one that has been open for as long as I can remember. There is a reason they have stayed in business for so many years. They offer the best Americanized Italian food. I admit that I really didn’t look at the entire menu. I got my usual Half a Meatball Sandwich with extra cheese, regular Lay’s Potato Chips and a Mountain Dew. My friends ordered a Meat Lover’s Pizza with pineapple, jalapenos and light sauce. It was the very first time they had visited either one of the Bruno’s Pizza locations and they were thrilled to live so closely to this new location. I admit the other location is one of those places you love but forget is there because of the location. This larger and newer location was desperately needed and seemed to be busy during the time we were there to eat lunch on a Monday afternoon. They are closed on Sunday as many of the businesses are in Tyler. The our waitress was very friendly, very well knowledgeable about the menu and kept us filled with sodas the entire time we were there even when we stayed a bit past our lunchtime to chat and catch up. We will without a doubt return to this place when we visit our family and friends in Tyler. We have zero problems recommending this place to all of our friends and family.

Wow, I’ve been to Bruno’s Pizza over twenty times. I have never been treated with anything but respect. I love their pizza. It is the best in Tyler by far. I always get a Turkey Sub, the freshest bread and ingredients ever. I’ve had pizza in Chicago, St. Louis, San Fran and Kansas City, where I am from. This ranks with the best. Whomever is writing tons of bad reviews needs to get over themselves. It looks like someone had all their friends and family write bad reviews.

Horrible service. Waitress was rude. Took over 45 min. to bring out a plate of pasta and a pizza. And when the pizza was brought out, it only had 1 topping, when we had ordered it with two. I asked the waitress if there was a good reason ppl who got there AFTER me, got their food before my table did, she said, «I don’t know, I don’t cook the food.» Just horrible service. Pizza wasn’t even good to say the almost hour wait was worth it, it really wasn’t.

This is a four star low cost unbelievably huge salad and sandwich joint that is absolutely fantastic. Tyler our server couldn’t be more accommodating and I whole heartedly recommend coming here. I will definitely be back. I want the lasagne next time. I guess it’s too die for…

In my last review I was upset by the poor service, however this not the norm. It was just an oversight on a busy night. It remains the best pizza in town IMHO.

The only thing I ever order here is the everything pizza, yes, with anchovies. I’ve eaten Pizza all over the country and I always end up comparing it to Bruno’s everything pizza. I think it is the best. We like this place.

I have never written a review on Unilocal, but I wanted to share my experience. The other night I went with a family group of about 12 people. To start, our waitress was very snippy and unfriendly and seemed generally unhappy and annoyed. We weren’t given refills unless we requested and she disappeared several times. Very inattentive. It was a busy night, yet there was a group of about 5 or 6 employees just hanging around the host podium all evening. Very unprofessional. I had spaghetti with alfredo sauce. Food was ok, nothing special. Definitely not worth going back. Bruno’s is apparently a highly regarded local restaurant. I don’t think the owners would be pleased with how the place was running that night. I was disappointed.

Bruno’s food, waitstaff and atmosphere have always been enjoyable for us. We have taken visiting relatives, our entire office and clients there many times. I would trust this type of review more than a diatribe with innuendos and foul language.

Went with a church group. Ordered a soft drink, 1.5 hours later never was offered a refill. Ordered a sandwich. Mostly just a giant piece of dry bread. Could have really used that refill. Other people ordered pizza, I tried a slice. Meh. I don’t plan to go back.

ugh, why. SO, I went to their other location first, fail. This location, I honestly thought I was being punked. but no cameras. I called ahead, they seemed competent. I arrived, put in my order. ok I was curious about the weather, saw they had a wifi signal, so I asked for their password. The server said that the owner doesn’t allow customers to use his wifi. unreal. I ordered a pizza and some breaded mushrooms. average wait time. while waiting, I noticed several of the employees, one was friendly, another was approachable, one wasn’t friendly, the cook staff were just that– no social skills. I got the pizza and asked for some condiment for the mushrooms–«we don’t have any». –again, am I being punked? cameras? nope. The pizza was SO overpriced for what it was. Papa John’s and Little Caesars offers a comparable pie for about 1⁄6th of the cost. This was slightly better than a frozen DiGiorno’s pizza. No seasoning whatsoever on the pie. mushrooms were good and well cooked. the restaurant interior looked new, but was empty– on a Friday night. –very telling. given all of the good food options in the area, we won’t be back. overpriced, unfriendly, average at best for a SUPER premium cost.

REVIEW #2: Ordering Take-Out When I owned a restaurant /bar, I was constantly preaching the importance of CUSTOMERSERVICE. The restaurant business is fickle, and there’s a ton of competition. With this said, it’s always a challenge, to one up your fellow restaurant and bar owners. At my restaurant, I knew our food was excellent, but it’s also important to get those customers back, in other ways, besides our food, and expansive drink selection. How do you accomplish this goal? Simple. It’s something that seems non-existent, when restaurants begin to think they’re more important than their patrons. Yes, the answer is {ding ding} CUSTOMERSERVICE! A smile, friendly service, or especially, a simple«Thank you,» will make a huge difference in getting those customers back, as loyal, repeat customers. Unfortunately, it’s my strong opinion, that Bruno’s could care less about customer service. It’s almost as if they adhere to a «Fuck the customer» demeanor. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Management actually tells their employees that they(i.e. Bruno’s) is more important than the customer. Once again, I’m speculating, but I’d assume Bruno’s grosses well north of 1M a year, so who cares about customer service, right? I mean, they’re busy, so why worry about friendly service? With this said, I refuse to dine in, ever again(Read«1st Review» as to why), so I opted to only get pizza, to go. Their pizza is decent, and Bruno’s is on my way home. In the past year I’ve lived in Tyler, I’ve got pizza to go, just about once a week. Do the math, I, being, most likely, an unimportant customer, will spend approximately $ 1000 a year at their restaurant. So, why should they care if I stop ordering from them? But, in year 2014, here’s the beautiful tool: the internet! If you take a quick looksee at my Unilocal reviews, I’m much more vocal with 4&5 star reviews, than I am with negative reviews. I love to write 4, or 5 star reviews. especially concerning locally owned, small businesses. Unfortunately, I just cannot write much of anything positive, when it pertains to Bruno’s, and their abysmal staff. So, the question you must have is, «Why continue to patronize this business?» Well, last Friday was the final straw. I’ve dealt with the bullshit of them telling me my order will be 25 minutes, when it’s almost always going to take at least 45 minutes+, and I’ve endured the unfriendly dolts that they employ behind the counter. After last Friday, I’ll never step foot in Bruno’s again! I marvel at how a restaurant is so arrogant enough to think that I’ll continue to return, hand them *my* money, and they don’t have the decency to at least say ‘Thank you.” I guess I should thank them for taking my money, and dealing with their shitty employees, that exude ZERO personality skills. Last Friday, I let them know my thoughts. Upon leaving Bruno’s take-out, I called and asked to speak with the Manager. The pompous child that was too consumed with what I viewed as a personal phone call, was rude on the phone call, and ruder in person. Disgusted, I decided, «Fuck this,» and called to see if a Manager would even take my complaint. To the best of my recollection, here’s a setup: ME: I need to speak with a Manager please. POMPOUSTAKE-OUTBOY: Uh, why? ME: Can I just please speak with a Manager on Duty? POMPOUSTAKE-OUTBOY: UH, why? ME: Now, frustrated, I said, «Please just put a Manager on the phone, PLEASE!» POMPOUSTAKE-OUTBOY: {Moans, loudly} Alrighty then! Corey was the Manager spoke with, and in my opinion, he could care less about his employee’s disgustingly rude, «Fuck the customer» attitude. He even went further and said, «Don’t talk about my people’s like that.» Yes, he really did refer to his employees as «peoples.» In fact, I found his tone to be downright confrontational. Quite simply, I understand why these snot nose kids exude such an arrogant demeanor. If the Manager, Corey talks like this, and refuses to listen to a complaint about his«peoples,» why should the employees under him care either? In fact I don’t care either. Fuck you Corey, and fuck Bruno’s! Never again!

Was told that this is the best pizza in tyler. I’m from NJ and I know what good pizza is supposed to taste like. At best this pizza is «Ehhh». Order sausage on my pie. It looked like the sausage was bathed in oil and then pan fried on one side. Not appealing to look at or ingest. Definitely not a fav. I assume that this location is new because a few of the kids that are working there were having a lot of trouble handling customers. Watching them stumble around give wrong pizzas to wrong customers was mildly comical. Especially when it came to them making the difference per person. Looks like the quest for decent pizza in tx is still on. Good luck. Oh oh. Best part. My pizza was cut in 12ths. Hahaha. Too funny.

Boil water, drop in noodles, open can of meat sauce, open can of mushrooms. That is what Italian food is all about at this lame joint. A 10 year old can prepare a better meal than this place. Maybe the pizza is great, but I won’t be back to find out.
