This was one of those rare occasions when the Unilocal reviews that guided me to a restaurant were way off mark, at least in comparison to my experience. I was in Tyler on business and had about 90 minutes to kill for lunch. Wanting to try something new, I consulted Unilocal which led me to Fusion 11 with rather high expectations based on the number of very positive reviews. First, the décor. I thought it was a bit odd. It appears that they are going for the modern warehouse look, but came up short. I opted for the chicken health bowl served with steamed brown rice and spicy sauce. The bowl was mostly rice, very little sauce, and the chicken was sparse and«choke me» dry, as if it were left over from a few days ago and reheated more than once. The lack of sauce yielded a rather bland bowl of mostly rice, broccoli and almost inedible chicken. I didn’t finish it. My server was quite pleasant and kept my tea glass from getting empty. That was really the only bright spot in what was otherwise a very lackluster experience.

Saturday 21, 2015. No cars in parking lot. Walked in with one person leaving. Stood for 2 minutes No employees greeted us. Heard laughing from back. We left. Disappointed. Really was looking forward to try it. We have a friend that says this place still has great food even though it appeared the service was lacking the very first time we tried to eat there. We will give it another go soon.

Calamari was great and even though they were thick I was left wanting a bit more. Lettuce wraps were fantastic! My main dish, Spicy Chicken, was amazing paired with their fried rice. Overall, very nice place and very friendly staff. I’d recommend this place to anyone who has ever eaten at Julian’s on Broadway.

Great food. I had the beef broccoli with egg noodles and they had a great taste. I tried my friends sesame chicken and it was good as well. It isn’t the breaded sesame chicken, but was still good. I wanted spring rolls but 3 for $ 8.50 seemed expensive so I didn’t try those.

Ordered to sesame chicken with brown rice. The chicken was good and flavorful. Veggies that accompanied it was also good: snow peas, carrots, water chestnuts and scallions.

The combo health bowl is absolutely delicious. I’ve ordered from here half a dozen times now and every time that is what I get. I have yet to be let down. The employees are always kind and quick on their feet. Delivery is quick and easy and picking up to go orders is quick and painless. The interior of this place sets off vibes of kind of a hole in the wall, but it’s very easy to make the evening casual or dress it on up. If your taste buds are tingling for some Asian cuisine. Fusion 11 should definitely be an option!

I am very impressed with Fusion 11, I would like to think of them as their own entity, regards of where the chef once cooked, but allow me to say that besides being very unique compared to the other options in Tyler, their spring rolls are unrivaled. They’re amazing. Peking once had the best before they were sold. But now, I think of Fusion 11 when I crave egg rolls or spring rolls.

An amazing mom and pop. Brought our friends, 5 couples, no problem, on a Friday night. Wonderful music by Logan and Mitchell. The food is as delicious as I remember. Sorry Juls… you guys didn’t realize what you lost. The chef, yep, he’s the chef from Julians, is incredible. The best calamari in Tyler. Dishes are delectable. Music on Fridays. Great ambiance. You’ll have a wonderful time… We all did!

Let me preface, by saying that Julian’s was my favorite Tyler restaurant. When we heard that the former chef had opened up Fusion 11, this place has been on our list for some time. Knowing that this place is tiny, and might hold 40 midgets comfortably, we opted to come early. We started off with the crab wontons, and they were decent, but miniscule in size. For our entrees, the three of us ordered the following: Sweet and Sour chicken Honey chicken Orange Chicken (Most entrees are approximately $ 11-$ 12. Similar entrees at Juls would cost you approximately $ 15-$ 17, and don’t taste as good, in my opinion.) My orange chicken was some of the best I’ve had, and wife’s honey chicken was tasty as well. On a side note– I thought it was cool that the server only charged us a portion of the price for my son’s sweet and sour chicken(He’s 3). There was no kids menu, but they discounted this, even without us asking. *There is no wine /beer on the menu, but I asked(shocking, I know), and they bring you complimentary drinks, since they do not have a liquor license. Uh, yep, free; therefore, I ordered a second.(Not shocking, if you know me) I asked our server if they plan on getting a liquor license /bar, and she said, ’ I hope so.“ Great food, great service, but a shitty space(location)= 4 stars. This will be a 5 star establishment if they can expand, or get some financial backing and move to a better location. Lots of potential! I will return.

I’ve been several times and have tried several different items. Everything is amazing! Loud dining room. But I hear they are going to remodel soon. Best Asian fusion food in Tyler.

Love the spicy chicken. Love the lettuce wraps. Love Fusion11. If it is really busy the service suffers because it seems them never have enough employees. Not much atmosphere and I think a little pricey. Regardless of the negatives, I always go back because I love the food.

My wife and I believe this is the best Asian food in Tyler! Atmosphere is nothing to write home about, but we get it to go most of the time anyway. Same chef from Julian’s!

Pretty expensive for still working the bugs out. I ordered the scallops and Broccoli, the scallops were small and had the aftertaste of something else they must have been cooking near them or on the same cooking surfaces. I waited to pay my ticket for quite awhile before just finally walking up to some waiter near the register so I could finally leave. I’ll try it again in a few months.

Really wanted to try place after reading reviews. Not so great. Big open loud room and table about to fall apart to start off. They don’t have hot mustard — crab wonton would have been much better with hot mustard. Hot Sour Soup was more like a heavy sauce that would be served on an entrée. The shrimp dish was good but they charge $ 3 extra for fried rice. Just get steamed rice not worth extra $ 3. Pricy — $ 50 for two people at lunch. We did order Appetizer and I also got the soup. Don’t think I’ll be going back.

Loved the scallops and beef with broccoli. Large portions. Fried rice on the side was just like I remember from Julian’s. Crab rangoons were good, but a lot thinner than I’m used to and not as much cream cheese as I’m used to either(the best I’ve found are at Cheng’s China Bistro. Nice atmosphere, but too bright at night – should consider a more dimly lit dining room for evening ambiance. Nice surprise on the north end of Broadway near the Azalea District of Tyler. Will definitely be going back!

Heard this place was owned/run by the former chef of Julian’s, I really wanted to love this place but I didn’t. First sight upon entering was a table covered in crumbs. The black tablecloths are a nice touch but I have to wonder how often they are washed as mine had several stains and didn’t look like fresh ones, either. Ordered my 2 favorite things from Julian’s old menu, edamame and honey chicken. The edamame was perfect. I was glad I could choose brown rice to be a little healthier. The honey chicken was average, not enough sauce on it but tasted ok. Just ok. The acoustics in this place are awful with the wood floors so I can’t imagine how bad the noise level will be when it’s full. Prices are too high for a lunch destination.

Very friendly waiters, fast service, and the food is fantastic. It was the best Asian food I’ve ever had. The beef with mushrooms, onions, and coconut rice is one of the best things I’ve ever eaten, and the crab wontons are pretty fantastic. They also have a Thai fish dish that is delicious. It’s the only time I’ve ever had fish in an Asian dish that I liked. The only complaint is that it can get really loud in there.

Friday night, 7:20… Small place with limited parking right on Broadway. Looks like it just turned/opened as Asian fusion– décor doesn’t match menu. Musician(guitarist) playing/singing– nice but bare walls with little cover make for poor acoustics and a slightly loud atmosphere. A bit of confusion as to who is serving us amongst the staff… Crab wontons for appetizer, spicy chicken and sesame chicken chosen for entrees. Oops. No appetizer for us. 20 minutes after entering, and we were just told that they ran out(on a Friday night at 7:30). Still a few kinks to work out apparently. Now suddenly we do have wontons… They rate as fair to good. Okay, main courses– really good. This is either the former Julian’s or someone who had access to their recipes– same quality and flavor. The entrees are going to save our first visit here! We’ll be back in a week or two to see if they get everything else up to the quality of the main dishes.
