This was awesome food. Our waitress Icey was wonderful. I would definitely ask for her. She was great.

Used to love this place when it was new. Service has gotten horrible. Wait for waiter/waitress is way too long for the amount of people that were here. Waited even longer for a check. The staff is young with little experience, and seems clueless. Food was OK but definitely not worth the aggravation.

Food was fine not greatS. The service however needs a lot of work!!! Staff are under trained on the menu and the basic etiquettes of service. Waiter never removed empty dishes from our appetizers(Pot Stickers were excellent however). Waiter forgot my rice and I had to get another waiter to locate him to get my rice after 5−10mins of waiting. Then our waiter left our check on the table 5 mins after we started eating. I could understand if the place was busy or during lunch but we were one of 3 tables and it was 6:30 on a Friday night. My wife was commenting on how good the desserts looked, but since they left the check for us to leave, then that’s what we did. They have lost our business forever!

Cold food. Sent the hibachi shrimp back and they simply put it in the microwave which made it tough and dry. Not flavorful. The California roll was equal to what you get at Fresh. Husband ordered hibachi steak rare-it came back well done and cold. Very disappointed.

Will not go back! There was a health dispute and the manager’s attitude was very confrontational rather than offering a non-monetary solution. I hate it because I like the food.

Favorite sushi place hands down! The food, the atmosphere, and the service are top notch. @Christina was our server this evening and she was great! Will definitely be coming back for their signature baked salmon rolls :) Wontons were a wonderful appetizer!

I really enjoy this place a lot. Decent draft selection for beer. Have been here three times. The service has always been great for me. First two time I got the sushi. Amazing sushi. Definitely my favorite in Tyler. Third time I decided to try something new and went with the fried rice. It was just ok. Seemed too dry to be fried rice. It pretty much tasted like white rice with egg, peas and meat. Overall, I will order sushi from here on out and will continue to support and go to this place.

Jacksonville Roll was superb. Seaweed salad had just the right sesame dressing. Miso and egg drop soup were well made and just right portions. Potsticker dumplings were well prepared but a big blah. Well made cocktails, excellent service and a nice relaxing atmosphere. Have menu items in mind already for next visit.

Used to be really good when it first opened. It seems like it’s under new management(or ownership). Got the same rolls that I always do. Paid over $ 14 for an order of mediocre, flavorless rolls. Can get the same type of rolls but better tasting at both Wasabi and Yamato for $ 9-$ 11. Can’t see myself ever coming back. It’s too bad.

Been looking for a decent sushi spot since we moved to Texas. SoJu fit the bill for sure! Beautifully presented, great flavor, nothing I could say bad about it :) Be back soon! Had the Miso Soup, Sumo Roll, Spicy Tuna Roll, and Sunshine Roll.

We were in Tyler for Thanksgiving and decided to take advantage of the free babysitting to take our eldest out for his birthday. After checking the online ratings we picked Soju and we were so glad we did! The service was great– we were seated immediately, our drinks were never empty, and our server was very friendly. We do not eat out often so we made sure we were hungry. We ordered 5 appetizers: chicken satay, fried calamari, veggie tempura, crab wontons, and Vietnamese egg rolls. They were all great and cooked perfectly. For the main course we ordered California rolls, spider rolls, tuna, unagi, and Kung Pao chicken. We ate every bit of sushi. The sauce on the Kung Pao chicken was a little heavy, but it wasn’t enough to put us off– we were probably just too stuffed. We will definitely go back to Soju the next time we are in Tyler.

Good for sushi! However The service and staff are young and I love that! In the same token the staff could use more training… I don’t feel like their very accommodating… a lot of side conversations going on amongst themselves and shouting from the kitchen. entrée dishes tasted sloppy. I will save my money on that for next time! But I always enjoy the sushi

We used to love this restaurant and now, it seems the service has went down significantly. We went in and were seated by the hostess, then nobody ever came back for the 30 minutes that we sat and waited. We didn’t even get a drink order in. It’s like we were invisible. The restaurant was not busy at all, the hostess was busy fixated on her phone. We eventually just got up and left. We went to Three Z Asian Cuisine and the food and service was amazing.

Food was amazing! Best tempura I’ve had in a long time. Texas roll was off the charts delicious! Go early before they close at 2:30 until dinner at 5:00. There are so many other things I want to try! I’ll be back tomorrow ha!

Solid place. Never bad never great but awesome for Tyler, TX. Service does a good job, managers are on it. Price points a little high but do-able cause they always produce a consistent product here. I’d recommend both Soju and Wasabi to anyone. Soju first because the service is ten times better and more attentive or better trained. Good food at both. The BEST part of Soju is they have one of the absolute best wine lists in Tyler. Out of all 3 places that have a real selection! Haha

This place was excellent! The best sushi I’ve had… ever. It was so good! The service, the food… Awesome. The only complaint I would have would be the price tag… It was a bit more than I thought it would be, but worth the splurge for great sushi! Great date night place! It’s a bit more classy than the previous Asian diner that was at this location. So dress nice! ;)

The food here is great. We had an amazing waiter who checked up on us just the right amount of times. my husband and I shared the Mt Fiji roll(which is a huge portion), I got the pineapple fried rice and could only eat half of it and my husband got the tasting of vegetables with beef and white rice, which he devoured. I got a Soju colada martini and he got the Ty Chi which is soju with cucumber and lime. Both were sweet and refreshing. I would highly recommend coming to Soju.
