Slam Dunk Pizza

This place is a great spot for some family fun and good pizza, especially when the weather is not so nice. There’s a nice size arcade on one side of the restaurant, with lots of games, a photo booth, and skee ball too. I liked that the arcade is separate from the dining area by some easily accessible doors between the two. Made for an enjoyable lunch without it being too noisy. They also have two good-​sized party rooms available in the back of the main dining area.
Our pizzas (cheese and hawaiian) were delicious, not overly greasy, and toppings and crust were tasty. The salad bar was fresh and plentiful. Staff was super friendly. We’ll definitely be back

Best staff ever! John aka Superman is a favorite! Jake and Andy are super fast at turning out great food! Everyone else there is equally awesome but I’m still learning names. Great place to take kids, have parties etc.

Twice in a row they did not should up. Twice in a row I had to call for a refund for a pizza that didn’t show up. Twice in a row Slam Dunk Pizza could not deliver a pizza. I should have learned the first time that they could not deliver in this small town. I was wrong to believe that this local pizza shop could deliver a pizza. Shame on me.

The pizza buffet is great here and the salad bar is good. I’d go here if I want to eat a lot and walk out very full. Nice big place with lots of TVs, if your into that. The arcade looks decent, too.

A very nice and pleasant staff when I ordered I the taco pizza. The delivery time was good. However, they forgot the Pico de Gallo and the Sour Cream toppings. The delivery driver apologized and said she would be right back. I waited for 10 min before calling to make sure they didn’t forget (as the pizza place was 1 mile away) and the person on the phone said it was on the way. They brought back the missing items after 20 minutes from the delivery time. The taco pizza was now cold. this was an Air Ball, not a ‘slam Dunk!

Was in town for a conference, and with late night dining somewhat limited… I turned to Unilocal for help. What a great find! The pizza was fantastic! My other half and I ordered a small, half BBQ chicken, half pepperoni pizza and two liter of soda to go. While we waited we played in their arcade/​fun center. What a blast! Our expectations were blown away. For about $ 20 we had a surprisingly good sized small pizza, soda, and entertainment while we waited. The staff were extraordinarily nice, the facilities clean, and food outstanding! If we ever return to Ukiah, we’ll be back.

Staying in Ukiah for the night and needed delivery as I’m just tired. Called because of good reviews and the person who answered was very friendly and helpful. He said that delivery would be 45 minutes and it was only about 35. Always a plus. Pizza was good and salad was better. Delivery driver was very nice and said it was his 2^nd delivery. Good people skills. Only flaw was he forgot to give a fork. :(salad was good with fingers anyway. lol

The pizza was okay, almost every game in the arcade was either taking the tokens and not playing the game, or not giving out the tickets, when we told the girl behind the counter she totally dismissed us and never once tried to help us. The employees clearly don’t care about the customers, they do not even acknowledge your existence when you are there.

Some of the best pizza north of San Francisco

After having a not so pleasant phone call experience with the area pizzeria, Saucy, I came across this restaurant. I thought I would give it a try. I’ll share with you my experience.
My call was promptly answered. The associate who answered my call wasn’t excessively friendly, but wasn’t horribly rude either. I reviewed the menu available before calling. I ordered a mini vegetarian pizza. I also ordered the cinnamon knots as I was in the mood for dessert. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to leave the hotel or not, so I asked about a delivery charge. She let me know it was $ 4 and they stopped delivering at 9:00, which was quickly approaching. A little steep if you ask me, so I opted for pick up.
When I arrived the front of the parking lot was pretty full. I found a spot and walked it. A family had just walked in in front of me and were perusing the menu. I waited. And waited. And waited. While the family was reviewing their options there was no attempt to greet me or assist me in any way. There were about 4 associates standing around talking. Once the family had decided and ordered (about 10 – 15 minutes later), I was able to pay for the order I placed.
After receiving the pizza, it was a sizable personal pizza. The staff whom I spoke with make the mini seem very small. It is 8 inches in diameter, I believe. It had 6 slices. The pizza itself was cooked thoroughly (nothing is worse than a doughy pizza). I was excited to dive into the knots. The knots didn’t have a great description on their menu. My expectations was that it would be a doughy dessert much like a cinnamon roll. My expectations were incorrect. They’re actually more crunchy… similar to the Taco Bell Cinnamon Twist.
Overall, the food was mediocre. I wasn’t excessively impressed and it wasn’t horrible. The service needs some work, for sure.
BOTTOM LINE: Would I eat there again? Maybe. It’s not a resounding yes.

My husband is always in the mood for pizza after a long hard work week. I’ll do anything for my Pumpkin, so Slam Dunk is the place. We often order to go, and there is seldom a long wait. The staff are super friendly, and I appreciate that they give our local high school youth a chance to prove their skills in the workplace. They support community programs which is awesome. I love their salad bar with all the fresh fixin’s, and the atmosphere is welcoming!

Awesome pizza! Employees were very friendly and up beat. Great to see positivity! We were just driving through and read some good reviews on Slam Dunk Pizza and they were right, great food! Garlic cheese crust was yummy too!

I give this business 5 stars because it’s the only place in Ukiah to get actual gluten free pizza… Every other place that serves gluten free in Ukiah does not use separate surfaces and cooking utensils to cut and prepare pizza. If someone is actually a Celiac, not just eating gluten free, they know this is an important detail of the gluten free moniker that this place actually cares enough to adhere to. Plus, the pizza is great, and fairly priced! Yeah, it’s an old building, yeah, they don’t serve over priced fancy named pizza, but my kid also doesn’t get sick here, like she has from other so-​called gluten free pizza in town that costs a great deal more.

ABOUT TIME! Ukiah finally has a pizza restaurant that serves great pizza. The restaurant was clean, happy, and a great family atmosphere. The pizzas were delicious and well made. I can’t wait to go there again. Owner Matt is a great host and face of the business. I highly recommend Slam Dunk Pizza, and order the Pro Bowl. You will be glad you did.

Best Pizza in Town! They don’t skimp on toppings and the taste and quality is def above average. New and old school video games like Galaga and Pac-​Man. Always has the local pro teams on one of the multiple tvs. No complaints.

I’m reviewing this place after multiple times going in. They finally have delivery which is awesome. The pizza is great no complaints about it. Fairly priced but best of all is their all you can eat lunch buffet for 9.50

I’m updating my review to give this place another star. The pizza here has been better than it was on my first visit on several occasions. Tonight, we were calling around to pizza places to see who could accommodate a gluten allergy, and guess what? Slam Dunk was the only place we called (we never called Marinos) who could help us out! Round table has crust, but takes no measures to avoid cross contamination (at least they were very open and honest about that part). Being that we have food restrictions in the family, and the pizza here is pretty good, it would seem that this is our new place to go.
For anyone who has a gluten allergy, this should be your destination here in town for delicious gluten free pizza!

Went to a birthday party at Slam Dunk Pizza last Sunday and it was great! The place was packed with sports fans watching the game. So fun for a local family owned restaurant.
The party was great the pizza was delicious.
Its not the first time I’ve had the pizza here and I’ve not had a bad one. And I love love love that they deliver!

Pizza is pretty good, staff is very friendly but not too professional. Wish they would do a deep dish. Specialty pizzas lack a little flavor, but its a go to pizza place in ukiah. They seem to have raised prices a bit.
