Pretty big letdown… nothing special with the food at all; pub sliders were like hockey pucks, nothing else seemed authentic to a true Irish Pub; server was fine for our large party… slowly turned into a dance club after 1130pm & the location in the casino is excellent. Come by for a drink & dancing… go elsewhere for food.

The manager Jim is absolutely accommodating when it matters the most. He made a friend’s birthday evening spectacular last night and made us feel very welcome at my favorite bar on a special night! This is why I will continue coming here every time I visit Mohegan Sun. Love it! Great Job Jim, thank you!

It’s hit or miss. You can have a great experience or a so-so one. The service is ok, not universally great. There are good servers and terrible ones. Food is generally average. It seems to be loud and crowded most of the time. I usually stop in for something here because it is reliable and consistent, but I wouldn’t come to the Casino just to go to Landsdowne Pub. Try it and you may have a great experience. There’s a lot of potential here.

I had a simple Caesar salad. Loud place(definitely not the best for kids). Overall an acceptable experience because the food was great!

1st time we’ve been to Landsdowne Pub in Mohegan Sun, and it will be the last time. To sum it up, the food is boring, bland & flavorless. Everything we had was processed. Awful. We shared a Whiskey BBQ wings appetizer — wings were meaty, sauce was tasty enough, but the crispy outer coating I look for in quality wings was not there. For $ 11, it lacked value. Also, I just looked at the menu online, it states«coleslaw» under the wings. We didn’t receive any coleslaw. And only 2 pieces of celery? C’mon. I had the Bangers & Mash. Never had beans served with Bangers & Mash before, the menu states they are«Batchelors Baked Beans». No, they are made by Campbell’s and THEYCAMESTRAIGHTFROMTHECAN, I’d bet my life on that. What a joke ! Sausage and mashed potatoes were equally as bad — flavorless and processed. Hey, maybe the Chicken Pot Pies here are good, I dunno, but we have no desire to go back to Landsdowne in Mohegan Sun ever again. I also was not impressed with the service — our waitress was alright, but the Busboy wanted to clean off the table several times when he detected we were getting near the end of our meals. Place was only a 1⁄3 full when we were there, but seemed like he wanted to rush us out.

Ehh… I really wanted and wished I like this place, but I just didn’t. My wife and I came here for dinner on a Friday night during our last visit to the Mohegan Sun. I love me some Irish Pubs(as my wife can attest to), and hate to not like them… Drinks… My wife wanted a glass of Chardonnay… After a tad longer then you’d expect wait, the bartender(one of a few) came over. She asked for a glass of Chardonnay and we were told they have Bogle and Kendall Jackson. I know KJ is a good choice, so we chose that one… Not knowing or told it was 2 bucks more then the Bogle. Grrr… So that’s not good service to let your patron know one is more than the other when you ask for a drink and not haven’t yet looked at a menu IMHO… We only learned of that after seeing the menu. Now, it’s not the 2 bucks, it’s the principle of the matter. I know bartenders are told and taught to «upsale», but it’s nice if they do it with a bit of integrity. I ordered a Shock Top Draft… We also asked her who/what was the night’s entertainment an what time it started, and it looked like she had no clue there was any that night, let alone who it was or what time it started. Hmmm… maybe she was new??? So, now after reviewing the menu and being ready to order, we sat there for a while waiting for, who I thought was our server since she took our drink order, to take our food order. She seemed busy doing other things and walked passed us a couple times, so I asked another bartender if he’d take our order. Which he politely did(I also asked him about the entertainment and he was quick to tell me what it was). My wife ordered the Onion and Ale soup and Emerald Isle Wedge Salad and I the Fish and Chips. I asked for well-done chips. The food did come out pretty quick(as it was a Friday night and was very busy). The Soup was very good! But the salad was blah and plain and the Fish and Chips were disappointing. The fish was not very crispy and the chips weren’t close to being cooked well done as I asked for them. For $ 9 bucks for a ¼ head of iceberg lettuce and a couple cut in half cherry tomatoes and a pitiful amount of chopped up bacon and $ 15 for one small piece of Fish and soggy chips, very disappointing! Back to our drinks. The glass of wine was $ 11 for the Kendal Jackson Chardonnay. Wowzers!!! $ 11 for a glass of wine is absurd! $ 9 for the Bogle is equally crazy… I can’t remember what my draft beer was, but it mustn’t been overly priced or maybe my mind just wanted me to forget it… The only thing that I liked about this place is the atmosphere. Wonderful ambiance. The place is very pretty inside and my wife come to the Mohegan Sun a lot, but if we do come back to this Pub, it won’t be for much more than a cocktail. Won’t be having dinner again.

Had dinner here this past Friday. Ordered a salad and French onion soup. The soup was very good. The salad was nothing to write home about. A wedge of salad with some bacon bits and a few grape tomatoes for $ 9? What a rip off. Service was sporadic. I loved the atmosphere of this place. It’s a shame their service wasn’t up to par. I’d go here again but just for a drink.

Very inviting bar. Food 3⁄10: We were there for the late night snack and drink. We ordered the Irish Nachos and what came out was a heaping mess. I supposed you could call it «Comfort food» and many may love it, but this thing was a heart attack on a plate. The people next to us ordered chicken wings and potato skins and they looked much better. We hardly ate any of it. Service: 8⁄10 — Bartender was very friendly and attentive. Ambiance 9⁄10: The bar is beautiful with dark wood. Really has a nice feel to it. We were in there when there mid week late and it was a nice calm place to have some drinks. Cleanliness: 8⁄10 — No obvious problems. Overall: 6⁄10 — Nice place for a drink. The ambiance and service were reason enough for us to return. We just need to be more selective on the food.

Cool looking place. Been here a few times. Food is average(we had baked cod and Mac & Cheese this time). Live music is nice! Staff are not rude but some of them could be more welcoming & friendly.

Came with my fiancé. We were staying the weekend for comic conn. I was in. the mood for comfort food. Had cornbeef and cabbage spring rolls. Yummy. I had the chicken pot pit which hit the comfort spot. Only issue, it was super hot so took a while to eat. He had the baked cod and almost licked his plate. Bread pudding was decent. Drinks were great.

Stopped in for dinner before a concert. Put our name on the waiting list but decided to eat at the bar. Standard Irish Drafts. Full bar. Nice atmosphere. A little dark, as noted by other reviewers. I had Bangers and Mashed-they were fine, but nothing special. My husband had the Fish and Chips. He said it was really good. The steak fries were good and the slaw was the way we like it-not too much mayonnaise. The food came out hot. The service was good. Bartender was attentive but not overly friendly. Would come back again.

Ooh, this place is daaaaark. Dark lighting, dark wood, and dark beer if that’s your thing. A very cozy, almost library-like feel… a perfect«pub» vibe. My wife and I came here for a quick drink, so I can’t say anything about the food, but we liked the atmosphere and the service was great. Plenty of room at the very large, wrap-around bar, too. Only criticism on the beer front would be the selection on tap. It was okay, but nothing special. Best beer was NEBCO Sea Hag, which is excellent, but everything else was fairly expected.

Good spot for live music, some beer, or causual chills/hangouts. I’ve personally never had any of the food. And when it comes to service at the bar — the staff has been prompt and friendly at receiving orders and delivering drinks. I appreciate how they always carry a handful of Local CT beers on hand. Average prices. Late night, this spot is good for dancing too. The space is huge and there’s plenty of floor-space.

Just want to throw it out there, the«Chicken Pot Pie» is absolutely amazing, I think it’s $ 15. So if you are at Mohegan, wants something not too expensive, and not Bobby burger out the food court, go check this place out and order the chicken pot pie!

Horrible experience, while the food is good the service is atrocious! Between the bar tenders having attitudes, the bouncers making up rules to put money in their pockets is unreal. We had been in the pub before the shitty band they chose came on and were told we couldn’t leave and come back after having a cigarette in the smoking areas. But no one but the bouncers seemed to have the answer on that. Sketchy! And the bar tenders ignored and then had an attitude when getting drinks. EAD I’ll go elsewhere.

Must have been an off night the night we went there for dinner. The first course came out hot but the main course was outright horrible. I ordered fish and chips. The fries were cold — not even like warm! The fish was thin and mostly batter that was very crunchy with semi-dried fish meat. Way over cooked. I never knew casinos would offer such horrible dinners. Perhaps, I’m spoiled by Vegas.

I would say that my experience was due to a bad night, but considering that I visited this location twice in one night, dealt with different employees and at totally different times at night I can’t use that excuse. I should have realized the minute I sat down it was going to be a poor experience. Ordered two drinks, and potato skins and before we even received our drink we were handed a bill. Not asked if we want to open a tab, it seemed rushed. To be fair, it was dinner time but the only seats taken were at the bar. The portion of our drink was pathetic for a place coining itself as a pub. I should’ve just jumped on the penny slots. The quantity of the $ 10 potato skins were sad. Four halves, so two potatoes with barely any cheese or bacon. We left immediately following, the staff wasn’t welcoming, the bartenders weren’t chatty they bordered on annoyed at us being there. We meet up with some people after a concert, so we ended up back here around midnight so a good 4 hours later. We decided to grab a table because we would have more people and it seemed that the bar hoping crowd had shown up, our waitress made us very aware that we didn’t need a table just for drinks. I’m not sure why that mattered? Drinks cost more than food anyways. We had to pound our drinks because the people we were meeting up with weren’t dressed«properly». Now. I understand this if we were at a fine dining restaurant, or a club. But an Irish pub? My fiancé is the furthest thing from rough looking, and wasn’t allowed in because he had on a zip up sweater, and a hat. What? We are grown adults, and the child working the door actually said«yeah, you can’t come in here looking like that». It actually took us a few minutes to figure out what he meant. It’s an Irish pub, pubs that I’ve visited would consider anything over sneakers and jeans over dressed. I’m a very respectful person, and dress modestly — my fiancé as well, it was comical that his cable knit sweater and clean cap were concerned unfashionable for a few wings and beers. The short of the long? Food portions are incredibly off, drinks are the same they serve at the penny slots, and apparently it’s not really a pub it’s a club in pubs clothing and if you’re not dressed like Pauly D or a woman of the night you can’t get in.
