So disappointed with their Ensemada! What happen?! It doesn’t taste how it used to! What kind of cheese are those?!

MANGOCAKEMANGOCAKE is to die for!!! I HATE sweets. And when it comes to cake, especially. But this cake is so light and fluffy and fruity, i can probablly gobble it all up in one sitting! I tried they’re arrozcaldo(chicken porridge basicaly), my very first time every trying arrozcaldo, and it was not a disapointment. staff are friendly as well :)

We usually come to this place because we are fans of their chicken empanadas! ITEMS: 6⁄10. We love coming here for the chicken Empanadas! But, honestly, the price is a bit too steep for pretty much everything they offer. It used to be $ 2.25, but now they have raised the price of each Empanadas to $ 2.48(at least that is what they had advertised it to be). The other items that we had brought during some of our visits are: Ensamadas Mamon(Cheese, Butter, Ube) Ube Overload Cake Mango Cake PRICING:3/10. I don’t understand the rationale behind the price of their items. It just feels overpriced by about 15−20% percent to what it should be. A fair price for the Empanadas should be $ 1.99 in my opinion. However, the part that they have offers at times(buy 6, get 1 free) softens the blow if you are willing to buy in volumes. STOREFRONT: 5⁄10. The sitting area for this store is pretty small(just 3 tables), but I doubt if they ever run out of space for guests who wants to sit and eat. We will keep coming back to this place whenever we are in this area and crave for their(baked, I think) chicken empanadas.

On June 11 Thursday, I asked my Mexican friend to buy 2 boxes of Ensaimada and Mamon. On June 12, we were eating with our guest and noticed there’s molds(mamon). I throw 3pcs of it and when I checked the expiration date it says June 10. Argh! It’s so embarrassing!!! … Ofcourse we couldn’t eat the rest even though there’s separate plastic. *** Piece of advice check the expiration before you buy it ***

Had the Mango cake for the first time and probably the last. I could not taste any mango and the cake left an after taste. I’m giving one star because the birthday girl did enjoy her cake. I was really looking forward to tasting some fresh mango flavor especially after seeing the other reviews. There was NO mango flavor and the cake smelled like banana. I was gravelly disappointed.

Chicken empanadas were on point! Hot and fresh and $ 1.99 a piece. Decent size and tasty. My son loved them too and hes a picky eater. I also ordered halo halo and it was ok. For $ 4.99 i thought the price was too steep and not all that. Grabbed a couple of on the go pre wrapped goodies also. Brownies, banana bread, sponge cakes, and taro cake all fresh and yummy.

I’ve been a frequent buyer here for about 3 years now. The cakes are great, but the customer service is just downright unsatisfactory, even if they made the mistake. Make sure you check you got the right items before leaving. They’re not very good with compromising. I would like to never come here ever again, but as of right now I have no choice.

Location: In the plaza where seafood city is, it is actually connectedto the grocery store so you could go in after you go grocery shopping! Customer Service: The ladies are always so nice and have big smiles on their faces. Décor: Small bakery shop setting, and I like how everything brightly stands out like their menus etc it really does attract the eyes and makes your eyes wander with everything they have to offer. They have maybe 4 – 5 tables I believe if you’d like to dine there. Presentation of Food: Beautiful cakes! How did the food taste: From desserts to bread pastries, and believe it or not their dinuguan on their meal dishes is great! I usually just come for the cakes and the breads etc but one day my uncle told me that I had to try their actually meals because they weren’t that bad! To my surprise he was right, and I always get my dinuguan there now! Overall Experience: Always my go to aside from valerios!

Red Ribbon reminds me of Manila. They serve filipino fast food, cakes and pastries. Their meal options include pancit palabok, arroz caldo and dinuguan. I particularly like their dinuguan because it only has pure pork(no offal) and has a slight sour taste to it. As for cakes, the chocolate dedication cake and the triple chocolate roll are very good. The chocolate just melts in your mouth. The moistness of the chiffon and the smooth texture of the cake will make you come back for more. NOTE: As of the date of this review, Red Ribbon no longer serves dinuguan. :-(

We usually come for the Halo Halo but today we also got Brazo and Sansrival, which I’ve been craving for weeks. Halo Halo — 4 stars. Yummy but could use more red bean and they’re missing the pinipig. Brazo — 3 stars. Good but not as rich tasting as I’d like. Sansrival — 3 stars. Could be more buttery and flaky. Goldilocks is better and House of Silvanas is best! Service — 4 stars. Quick and friendly. My overall rating is 3.5 stars.

I go to this place when I am hankering for some childhood favorites like Mamon(sponge cake) and Ensaymada(brioche). They also have a lot of different cakes here with tropical flavors like Mango and Ube. They have the traditional tier cake as well as roulades. Mind you Filipino cakes are lighter than American cakes. These cakes are more like sponge cakes and they are not as sweet as American cakes. I have never ordered birthday cakes here but I believe they make them as well. Aside from sweet stuff, Red Ribbon also sells savory items that you can eat any time of the day. I particularly like their chicken empanadas. They are baked not fried and very tasty. I’ve also had their Arroz Caldo(rice porridge with chicken), the Palabok(thin rice noodles with a shrimp based sauce) and the Dinuguan(blood stew with pork). All are good – not as good as my Dad’s – but good enough when I get cravings for Filipino food.

Love their dessert but the cakes can be a little on the expensive side so I would take a few points off and rate 3.7 stars… They also run out of certain cakes on busy days. Only go here occasionally, I love their mango cake, ensaymada trays and butter mamon! Have to indulge once in awhile!

They have a wide selection of cakes, Filipino desserts and other pastries. I come for the ube overload cake and the mango cake! Sooo good. A big round size of the ube overload cake is $ 20 and is ready to go if you’re on the run to pick something up quick and dip. It’s really fresh and amazingly good too. It’s located right in between Seafood City and Valerio’s and closes at 9pm usually.

What a treat! I love Red Ribbon cakes for any special occasion. They always have cakes on hand. My favorites would have to be the Mango and Mocha Choco Crunch. This location has very convenient hours including being open on holidays.

My boyfriend and I usually go here for their Dinaguan, Palabok, Arroz Caldo and YES their Mango Cake. Came here today to pick up two slices, one Mango Cake and one Mocha Choca Crunch. When I got home, I discovered the slices were unreasonable!!! Such a rip off. I knew I should’ve went to Nation’s and got myself a Chocolate pie since they are more generous and 3x the slice!

The cakes here are very delicious. It isn’t coated with sugar like most bakeries which is amazing. They fill their cakes with real fruit and its always fresh. When there is a special occasion like a birthday or an anniversary I usually go to this place. Also, I come here for their Halo-Halo. It is probably the best Halo halo place that I’ve had in America. Their Chocolate meat is pretty good too!

I’ve tried a few cakes/pasteries from Red Ribbon over the years, but haven’t been that impressed by anything that I’ve tried. The latest cake I had was the Mango Cake(Philippine Mangoes Chopped & Mixed in Cream in 3 Layers of White Chiffon Cake($ 22.95?, ), which someone brought over for a party. The cake was moist and had mango flavor, but the overall flavor was very bland/flat. Also, the mango pieces seemed overripe, and were mushy. For the price, I wouldn’t order this again. However, I might come back to try their baked goods(like ensemadas) again.

Red Ribbon is one of my go-to places for cakes. They’re close to home and their prices are reasonable. I’ve literally tried every cake they have and all of them are absolutely delicious! Light, not too sweet, and perfectly moist. I always try to limit myself to one piece, but that is close to impossible. My fave is choco mocha crunch. The crunchy topping is so yummy and adds great flavor and texture to every every bite. A couple of my other favorites are mango and pandan. Yum! I love me some cake!
