Hi-Q Nj Nails

I think I finally found my «go to» place. The place is a nice size and very clean. I made an appointment so there was no wait time at all. I was put in the pedicure chair immediately and while there, another employee came over and started the removal process for my gel nails. My pedicure was done very well and so was my manicure. I really like how they give you a massage at the end of each service.
I also like how the place is managed. You can tell that the owner runs a tight ship. All of the employees are focused on the customers and no one is sitting there playing on their phones.
I return in 2 weeks and I’m hoping to have another nice experience.

I’ve been coming here for 5+ years and I absolutely love it & will never go to another salon as long as I am in Jersey. It’s a very clean nail salon without the typical strong fume scent. Everyone is extremely professional. It’s a very peaceful and relaxing environment. They do an impeccable job with every service… though if you’re looking for perfection, see Karina or Nydia :) Oh! Not an ideal nail salon for walk-ins…be sure to call ahead and make an appointment to avoid any wait time or confusion. Love Hi Q!

I needed a pedicure at the last minute and they got me in after I called them for an appointment. I’m very particular about my nails since I’ve been doing nails more than 15 years, but we’ve moved here a lil over a year ago and I haven’t been doing nails since we got here cuz I’ve been in school, but to have someone do it without me complaining or telling them how I want it, felt really good. I will definitely be coming back!

I love this nail salon. I never have a problem getting an appointment. The place is clean. It’s a nice, quiet, relaxing place. Their nail colors are extensive. Go there knowing what color you want or you’ll be there forever trying to decide.

I used to come here from time to time and found it very pleasant, once I moved closer it became even more convenient. However, it all went down hill when on a quiet Tuesday morning I showed up for a pedicure and they turned me away when all the technicians were just sitting around, they could have been waiting for clients who had appointments but there are options, they could have told me to come at a different time or something. Being in the beauty business myself turning someone away is always last resort. I will never return to this place, in better news I did find my new favorite pedicure spot, Top Nails just down the block from this place.

It usually gets very busy on the weekends. So either schedule an appointment or come as soon as they open.

Getting my nails done is part of a routine and I don’t need any extra fluff. I need to be in and out with nails that look good and will last. Gel nails are my favorite because they look well kept and intact longest.
I’m a nurse and I need to wash my hands like a million times a day. Not every place I’ve gotten gel in can get it right. There have been times they chip even as soon as the next day because of the line of work I’m in. Also, some peeps can’t get the smoothness to extend to the end of the cuticle. Coming here I had my doubts, but I was referred by a valid source #shoutouttoFlorenceC.
So here I am 1 week later and my gel is intact! Worked four 12 hour shifts in a row without a chip or loss of shine. I didn’t feel like I was pampered, but I don’t need to be because getting my nails done is part of a check off list so don’t come here if you need a lot of attention. It’s not that kind of party. My pedicure was also done very well and it was not the same person who did it so I believe the standard of care is pretty consistent here. I will totally be coming back. Like I said I’m simple I need functional cute nails and this place delivers.

I have gone to most nail salons in Union & once I gave Hi-​Q a try I have never gone anywhere else. Mon-​Wed they have a mani/​pedi special for $ 25. If I can’t make it those days I don’t mind paying $ 5 more because they really take care of you here. They take their time and give great little shoulder massages while you dry. I recommend this nail salon to anyone in the area!

It takes a lot to get me to write a review so this should be saying something! I came in today with no appointment and was sat immediately. The woman doing my gel manicure was amazing. She took her time and her attention to detail was unparalleled by most places I’ve been too that just seem to rush you out. Not the case here. You even get a shoulder massage as you wait for your nails to dry. I’ve never had a better manicure. This is definitely my new spot.

$ 25 for mani/​pedi is good. It’s disturbingly quiet in there and the lady went a bit too fast, I barely got to relax but she did a decent job.
Still on the hunt for my go-​to place…

If your looking to be pampered, go to Hi-​Q! I’ve been going there since I was little with my mom, and now it’s my main place to be, and on weeks days mani-​pedis are on sale!!! PERFECTION! Massage chairs, spa treatment, quality service, amazing employees, and relaxing atmosphere! What more could you ask for when trying to step away from reality and just RELAX!

I’ve passed this salon quite a few times in the last 5 years and finally went in for a last min. Mani and eyebrows. I have to say this is one of the better nail places in the «five points» area (I’ve been to them all!)
First of all, it was quiet, non crowded and Ellen was on! The woman who did my eyebrows did an okay job (I’m usually really picky with where I get them waxed but I really needed them cleaned out). She took her time on the manicure and it came out close to flawless. What I appreciate most are the little add-​ons, such as the hand scrub and hand/​arm massage during the mani And the neck and shoulder rub when I sat down at the dryer. I definitely plan on going back.

My go-​to mani/​pedi place when I want perfection. There are plenty of nail salons closer to home but I prefer Hi-​Q for their careful work. They know the difference between French and American and do both to a precise level with application and hues. Throughout the year, they have a display of current holiday-​themed designs (for Valentine’s Day, Independence Day, Halloween, Christmas, and others).
Compared with most nail salons in the area, Hi-​Q has better ventilation. I suggest aiming for the more mature manicurists for their superior skills.
