I am currently sitting and waiting for my third load of laundry to finish as I type this review. I am a first time patron of Rainier Laundromat here in UP and I can say with 100% guarantee that I will be back. I found this place thanks to Unilocal reviews as i needed HUGE washers and dryers to fit all of my poundage of clothing, blankets and bedding that got dirty in a recent move. And boy are these big! The Giant washer can hold up to 55lbs and really I could’ve gotten away with just two loads but I didn’t want to over do it and break their equipment, especially since they are so friendly ! It costs $ 6.50 for the giant load which is reasonable if u ask me and apparently is done in 30 minutes — I didn’t stay for the washer because I felt comfortable since the door locks during the cycle but when I returned 40 minutes later both my cycle in the washer were done. They have huge i mean HUGE dryers, medium dryers and normal dryers. Same with the washers. I only used the giant washer, one huge dryer, and then the next siZe up dryer. I think every quarter on the dryer was 5 or 10 minutes. I can’t remember and wasn’t paying too much attention but it does have a time bar on there that starts after u press the temp. Just like everyone reviewed this place was very clean and tidy. In the two hours I was here both the husband and wife who own it came to make sure the restrooms and trashes around the mat were clean and tidy. There is a men’s and a women’s room and they own the dry cleaners next door to the mat. This is the first and only laundromat(With the exception of ones IN dorms and apartments I have used) I have used and I am more than pleased. We recently moved from UP to north tacoma so it’s a 12 minute drive or so and I will make it so that I can do our laundry here. They are open late, until 9– with signs posted that the last load cuts off at 8pm. There isn’t anyone monitoring that though– not as I have been sitting here at least. There is a change machine as well as washing products machine but I did bring my own rolls of quarters and soap. There are big counters to fold your laundry on and I came at a great time– 6pm when there was absolutely no wait. We have considered purchAsing our own washer and dryer for a home we are renting but I actually enjoy coming to this laundry mat ! I will definitely be back and most likely Become a loyal customer to this place. I Highly recommend ! It’s in the middle of Bridgeport and Mildred on 27th in UP.

I thought I would try a different laundromat today and based on the good reviews of this laundromat I made the drive from Lacey to here. All the reviews are correct. This laundromat looked like it’s been here for quite some time but it is super super clean. I posts pics of the bathroom as well because sometimes that can be one of the tell-tale signs that you’re in for a bad experience. The machines are quarter machine and not tokens which is great. $ 2.50 for the small single loaders, $ 5.00 for the triples, & $ 6.50 for the quads as of 1÷26÷14. This is the pretty standard price for washes at most laundries. As noted the hours are M-Sun 7:30 am — 9:00 pm with last load at 8:00. This is great for me as my other laundromat has last load at 7:00. One big difference I noticed from my regular laundromat and this one is the lack of a lot of machines. They only have 4 each of the quads and triples. I usually go to a laundromat in Lacey that has at least 12 triples and about 6 quads. I’m not complaining as this laundry wasn’t super busy on a Sunday but I can see the quantity of machines being and issue on more of a busy day like Saturday. The area seems safe as well and the parking lot was also clean. I guess this is to be expected for University Place. This is a very nice laundromat and I will definitely be back if I am in a pinch & need to wash clothes later than my usual laundromat allows.

This was one of the cleanest laundromats I have been to. They have a lot of washers for regular, super large and giant loads. Of course, it will cost more the bigger the washer is. I used the super large washer which needed 18 quarters($ 4.50). Dryers will start at $ 0.25, but I forgot how many minutes you get per quarter. The vicinity is quite large. They have restrooms available for both sexes, a tv for entertainment and seats. They also have dispensers for detergent, bleach and softeners if you forget to bring your own, although you do need to pay for them. Need change? They got a machine as well to give you that. I came during non-peak hours so parking was easily found but it seems as if parking will be easy to find even during busy hours. If you need help, you can just go next door to the dry cleaners. I’m absolutely sure that they own the laundromat although I haven’t confirmed it with the workers. FYI, the last load is at 8:00pm

Actually closer to corner of Bridgeport Way and 27th Street. I like that you do not have an owner/manager looking over your shoulder and«helping» you do your laundry like at Miss Sudsy — honestly, I CAN do laundry on my own. There is plenty of room and several large folding areas. There are ample washers of all sizes and seldom are machines«out of order». Plenty of dryers and there are change machines that take up to $ 20 bills. I have seen someone from the cleaners(that own the laundromat) sweeping the floors and restocking the change machines. There is a ladies and a gents bathroom that is always clean and stocked. In fact, I have never seen this place messy. When I was having a great deal of difficulty walking(with a cane) prior to my back surgery a man from the cleaners hurried out and offered to help me in with my two full laundry baskets. When exiting the parking lot and turning left… be sure to make use of the double center turn lane. Do watch that there is no one else in the center turn lane before crossing the two west-bound lanes. Then it’s an easy merge into the east-bound lanes on 27th.

Open 7:30am to 9pm. Lots of parking, because the University Place library has moved. This is near the corner of 27th and Mildred. This is easy to find, right off the main road, but you have to watch for the fast traffic if you are making a left-hand turn. They are a spacious laundromat, with traditional coin-loaded machines of decent quality. What I like best about it is that they print in bold letters on their window the exact cutoff time for starting your laundry: 8 pm(Some other places don’t post their regulations clearly). The University Place neighborhood they are in is a little safer than further north in Tacoma. However, there is no attendant on duty because it is owned by the dry-cleaner next door. There is no drop-off service. but they do have bathrooms, t.v. and vending machines.
