I had my new Epiphone AJ220s setup here. They were very helpful and prices were reasonable with a large selection of guitar accessories. Most importantly, when I got my guitar it played like a completely different guitar (ie.much better)! I will come back to Gard’s for all my guitar needs and I would highly recommend them for guitar setups.

I am fairly new to electric guitar with background in acoustic guitar playing. Before learning from Jackwind, I knew only basic chords and some other chord voicing. After taking lessons with Jackwind, I was able to gain a good amount of knowledge on guitar theory. I play for my church and being new to electric guitar in the midst of experienced players can be intimidating. However, with the knowledge I gained from his lessons, I was able to improvise and have fun with my band members. I would recommend Jackwind to anyone who is willing to learn guitar. He is very patient and knowledgeable.

Always a great experience every time I come here. The staffing and ownership are very humble and helpful with everything. They don’t have what you’re looking for? They’ll go out of their way to get it for you or find a local place that has it! The guitar tech who has fixed my guitar twice with upgrades is amazing and gets the job done within two days sometimes faster depending on availability. Love this place!

5 star rating reasons: I had a few questions about restring my guitar #1. Tuning #2. Understanding how to properly replace the neck on my guitar #3 Lessons #4 and #5 Got great advise on what products to purchase! I talked with Tyler on restring my guitar and with helping me understand how to tune it to the sound I was looking for! This guy really understood what I was looking for he couldn’t of been nicer! He tuned my guitar perfectly while giving me advise on what strings I should use to get the sound I was looking for great customer service! Alex was very approachable had a smile and was great at helping me to know why the placement of the neck was important to the over all function of my guitar! Including sound speed tone and feel of my guitar! Over all I haven’t had service like that ever great place and great guys that know there stuff! I’ll be back!

I went in to pick up a book that I called on earlier. They have pretty much everything: stringed, woodwind, and brass. If you are looking for band equipment, they should have it. I also noticed that they carry a lot of Takamine guitars, from entry level to some very nice higher end models. They also carried some other brands that I wasn’t too familiar with but they seemed like they were pretty good for a beginner. When I picked up my book the other guy offered me the second issue in the series for a fat discounted price. Not too shabby.

We rented an instrument for my fifth grader who was just beginning band. We’ve had to go back twice in the past two months because first they forgot to give us the neck strap that is supposed to come with the instrument, and second there was a problem with the instrument itself that needed fixing. Both times I had extremely SLOOOW customer service, mostly because the person helping me answered the phone several times, during which time he abandoned what he was doing with me and began helping the caller rather than putting him on hold and finishing with the person who actually bothered to come into the store. The employees have a very lackadasical attitude that I can do without. If we end up buying an instrument it won’t be from Gards.

I’ve been renting a piece of equipment for my son for middle school for a year now. They left a voicemail message last month that we had missed a payment. We had not, it is set up on automatic bill pay. But they manage to move 5 minutes away per Tyler, but didn’t notify anyone. He says well we have posters and flyers all throughout the store. I said I don’t come to your store no reason to, I pay you online automatically every month. He then replies well we only moved 5 minutes away I don’t know what the problem is. Are you kidding me? What the hell kind of customer service is that? I hung up on little Tyler when he said the manager was not available. I don’t know about you all but we have too many options today to deal with people who do not appreciate the fact that I do not have to spend my money with them. If you can take the time to mistakenly call about a missed payment, you could have spent the same effort to notify of your new location. My hubby was trying to drop off the broken equipment for service.
