One of the worst places… After coming here for a few years and we spend close to $ 100 per visit I will stop from this point on. Their customer service is horrible. For a martini they charged us $ 0.25 for an stuffed olive. The argument from Mike, the manager, was that the straws and olive-picks were free. Very argumentative and don’t need it! Hopefully they will one day look up «rudeness» and«customers» in their manuals! By the way, when we came in a few days ago, the bartender was banging 100proof shots with their family in numerous numbers. We even got served a few. Today we got charged $ 0.25 per olive over a $ 10 martini… Wow!!!

This place was so yummy! The shrimp cocktail was surprisingly great! Wonderful atmosphere. The drinks were perfect in strength and taste. Will come back again.

I have never been disappointed in this place. Friday night, the place is packed and the whole staff is still on point.

Weak drinks, especially for being a bar. Over priced menu. The design and cleanliness is nice.

This is late in posting so I apologize to Cliff and his crew first off. I wanted to throw a surprise birthday party and had no idea where to turn until a friend suggested The Heights. As soon as I met Cliff I felt as ease. The guy is so friendly and goes way beyond in making an event one to remember. We rented out the party room and had about 25 guests. We had appetizers, the coconut shrimp is awesome by the way, and an open bar and dinner. Everything was great and the party was a major success. Cliff and his staff were extremely attentive and took care of all the details and even helped us with a video presentation! Please do yourself a favor and if you need a place for an party, by all means, call Cliff at The Heights.

Had lunch here for the first time. The California chicken sandwich had bacon? No avocado unless you want to pay 2+ dollars more. The bun was dry and the fries were barely warm. Very disappointed. I’ve had the fish for dinner 2 times. First time-amazing! The second time just warm, not hot. It would be nice if there was a higher standard of quality control.

My husband and I had dinner there this past Saturday night on a friends recommendation! We loved it. Staff was very friendly, everything was very clean. The food was so so good and the drinks were very stiff and very affordable. My husband had the Top Sirloin dinner and I had the Ahi Tuna Salad, the appetizer was the spinach artichoke dip which was amazing! With dinner and about 6 drinks it was under $ 100. I read on their menu happy hour drinks are $ 4, hoping to make it soon. We will definitely be back.

Giving this place 2 stars because of their happy hour. Went here last Saturday around 9pm for the FIRSTTIME for dinner & drinks. Was notified by our waitress the kitchen was only serving appetizers(at 915 on a Saturday?) Hmmm. Continued having drinks and ordered spinach dip that happened to be the worst we’ve ever had, WATERY&GROSS! We ended up not eating it. Then around 1030 all the lights started turning off, and we thought what’s going on?! At 1123 exactly, the waitress comes and let’s us know it’s last call, when I ask why she says since their bar top cleared they’re closing.(The bar top seating is small, 10 seats or so.) Okaaay… your hours said open until 2am per Unilocal! Very disappointing, check please. We were outta there, with enough time to go somewhere else.

Ok this place had been here for sometime I’m sure. I was not impressed, maybe it’s because they had no personality or that they all had their noses in the air. It took us about 15 minutes to be addressed as to what we wanted to drink. And another 20 to receive those drinks. The food came out quickly and was decent however the service was lacking.

If you like good food don’t come here… The chef should kick his self in the rear and hang up his hat. I don’t usually Unilocal unless I absolutely hate a place. This place is only good if you want to get drunk before going to target. Save your money and go to chick fil a you get more bang for your buck…

In today’s Shameless Foodie post, Domestic Diva is venturing a bit further east than usual, to The Heights Restaurant and Bar in Upland! Why Upland, you may ask? Well, growing up in Rancho Cucamonga, there are a lot of chain restaurants. We have one(or five) of everything you could want, but not a lot of mom-and-pop places. The Heights is owned by the same people behind the classic 50s diner the Village Grille in the Claremont Village, so you know it has to be good! I’ve heard good things about the nightlife/bar scene here. So for my 24th birthday, my parents decided to take me out to dinner here. I like the spot, and especially the view up on the top of the hill in Upland. It was a Monday night, so pretty deserted, and we got a table right away. We started with the spinach dip and it was AMAZING. I’m very very picky about spinach dip — it’s so easy to screw it up. But I was pleasantly surprised with The Heights’ spinach dip(and the homemade pico it comes with) and I had to be careful not to spoil my appetite on it! For my entrée, I ordered the southwest salad. It was HUGE and full of black beans, tomatoes, corn, red onions, cheese and tortilla strips. And the ranch was great. My only complaint is that they didn’t have the greatest selection of craft/draft beer… I ended up getting a wheat beer. The beer is more low-end than places in LA offer. My mom ordered the chicken sandwich with French fries and my dad had the Asian salad. They both liked them so much they said they would come back and order the same things again! And the wait staff was very friendly. Next time you’re over in East LA county/the Inland Empire, check out The Heights!

Good food and a great view. Service was good both times we’ve been. Recommend the sourdough burger, steak sandwich and the ahi tuna salad.

For our first time here, we were invited to a birthday dinner and this will definitely be our last time coming to this place. Reservations were made, so waiting for a table wasn’t an issue. The waitress was really nice and attentive at first, but started to check in on us less and less as the time passed by. We waited about 30 minutes for our soup and salads to come. Then we waited another 40 minutes for our food to come. One of our friends didn’t get his plate until 30 minutes after the rest of the party got their plates because they forgot his dish. He waited over an hour for his dish!!! That’s ridiculous! I ordered the chicken marsala and my bf ordered the steak sandwich. Both dishes were terrible. My dish was overly sweet and oily. My bf’s dish was plain, flavorless, the meat was tough, and it sat on soggy lettuce. Yuk! These dishes are definitely not worth the cost. After everyone was finished eating, surprise surprise, we waited another 30 minutes for the bill. This was a very horrible experience and I definitely will not return to this place.

The food and service here is always great. The prices are a bit high, but overall the atmosphere and quality of food/service make for a nice place to enjoy a meal and/or cocktail. We are happy to have a place like this nearby!

Went here for the first time to try their MACADAMIANUTCRUSTEDMAHIWITHJASMINERICEANDASIANVEGGIES and I am so glad I tried it because it was good. The fish was well-seasoned, moist and fresh. The crust was awesome! Very flavorful and it was served with coconut curry sauce. The jasmine rice was good but the veggies was not enough. Went here with 5 more people and we were sat towards the back area for big groups. The area didn’t smell pleasant when we first walked in. I wish they would clean that area more and put television to watch sports. The service was average. The menu price was reasonable because the quality of food was up there. Will try to go back around lunch time to see their lunch menu.

Always good. Large bar area with ample TVs. Gets kind if noisy but I’ve never sat in restaurant section so it may be more quiet. Everything is usually good; kind of a diner on steroids. The family owns a coffee shop in Claremont, Village Grille. Had Southwest Chicken Salad that was chopped which I like good and a Chicken sandwich on focaccia bread. Good as well. The focaccia was too hard so it was good. Plenty of parking.
