Came for the fathers day brunch(6÷18÷16), they didn’t tell us the event was outside, that was ok but the Jazz band was an hour late, they could have offered wait service & with all the help they had on hand attended the trash a little better. Candelabras on the tables would helped with the gnats.

6÷11÷2016 A group of eight of us had dinner at The Grove last night. The good things first, the location is good and the restaurant is nice but the food was not good only two people in our party was satisfied with their food they ordered crab cakes. I read reviews regarding the service was not good I must agree the servers are nice. The establishments needs to re-vamp the service and the food improvements are needed will not be coming back to dine here again.

The décor is nice, I love the food! Service could be a little better, but it’s still pretty new so I’m sure it will improve. The chicken and waffles are the best!

I really want to say great things about this restaurant since I do live in the neighborhood. However I am constantly disappointied. The lack of service is ridiculous. It is 5:15PM when I make a call for a pick up order, and the restaurant doesn’t close until 6PM. Yet you tell me that the kitchen is closed. Why is that? This had happened on numerous occasions. Oh but that’s when someone actually answers the phone. If they are busy(or heck even when they are not) the phone constantly rings busy as if someone has taken it off the hook. The food is consistent at best, but there are other choices nearby with the same level of food and better service, this sometimes wins due to convenience but it is truly last place for service. More consistently a disappointment than a win.

Made reservation at «The Grove» for my nephew’s graduation celebration. The venue was beautiful and secluded. The Grove has outside dinning with a balcony overlooking a lovely manicured landscape. The staffs were friendly. The Salmon salad was tasty. The waiter was wonderful. But the service was horrible! We ordered food and drinks. Some of us were served and others weren’t. Other customers entered the venue and were feed before some of the people in my group. After three hours passed we left. Our kids were so hungry we had to take them elsewhere. The manager failed to come out and apologize for the crappy service. Instead, we had to ask for the manager. The manager apologizes and left. I will not be coming here again.

I enjoyed my Mother’s Day brunch at The Grove. The ambience was lovely and the food was good. There was a limited menu but I am not sure if that was just for the holiday. I would come back for a meal with friends.

Great location and concept but they need to hire restaurant professionals. The main hostess/manager is easily frazzled when there are over 10 people in the restaurant and forget about placing a carryout order because she will tell you she won’t because she’s too busy. The only saving grace is that the food is pretty decent and residents appreciate the convenience. Until there are some staff changes they will not have the success that is possible for a location without any competition.

Upscale restaurant and very new and clean. I had drinks from the bar at the grand opening and they were horrible, too much liquor, no flavor! I think the bartenders were new at it so I’m assuming it’s improved since then. It’s a really nice atmosphere. The food is good but pricey. My favorite dish is the salmon and grits. I hope they expand their menu really soon, but I will definitely be back.

The Grove is a welcomed addition to the area. The food good and the staff are very friendly, especially Ms Ethel the hostess. My favorites are the Southern Fried Chicken BLT, shaved steak sandwich and the crab melt. I’m happy to see the cocktail menu is growing and the addition of ginger beer creates many more options(e.g. Dark & Stormy and Moscow Mule). Given how close it is and the ease to get a table, I’ve been dining almost weekly since the summer and continue to see improved service, expanded menu and weekly specials. Keep up the good work!

Great food, fun atmosphere mostly in the bar area, and cozy main dining room. Love the Chicken Sandwich, wings, and Sweet Potato tots — and the kids meals are great too. The outdoor seating is great in the warm weather. The wait staff is pleasant, especially the hostess — she makes you feel right at home! We’re very happy to have a local restaurant, a rare find in this zip code!

We have dined at The Grove many times since it opened this year. Each time I’ve been pleased with the food, drinks, and staff. The friends we play golf with at the Oak Creek Golf Club, always request to dine at The Grove after a round of golf. My favorites are; chicken wings, crab flat bread, salmon & grits, and the salads. I recommend a round a golf followed by drinks and meal after a playing.

The Grove’s food was good but with a party of three our food did not come out all at once and this was disappointing. If The Grove could solve their wait time issues for food and drinks it would be a great alternative dining location. For Prince George County

Updated review: I would definitely recommend The Grove if you’re in the area. There aren’t that many sit down restaurants so it is a welcome addition. The restaurant has great décor and has outdoor seating that overlooks the golf course. Recommendations: The burger is so far my favorite on the menu. People seem to like the wings there too(I haven’t tried them). I think the summer salad is really good. Last time I added salmon which was well seasoned. I do think they can add more desserts, but the cheesecake(which is wrapped in dough) is very good. I always order on the phone and it is usually quick and easy.

Terrible service. Waited 35 minutes to get drinks. Food is ok Waitress delivered 3 of 4 items, was told the fourth was«coming», 20 minutes later she brings the check. I ask what happened to my sons club sandwich and she says«just a minute»… 15 minute she says the kitchen is closed, and the chef has gone home. Don’t waste your time with this one… #NotReadyForPrimeTime

Went to this restaurant on Father’s Day. To say the least, it was mediocre. Our reservations were at 3pm, and we were not able to order from the«entrée» menu because it’s only for after 5pm(even on the weekend). I ordered the artichoke/spinach dip, and it was cold. I had the feeling that it was prepared ahead of time and was nuked right before serving, but in this case, it wasn’t nuked long enough. Out of the three in my party, no one was happy with the food. In addition, the restaurant has a bar area, and the patrons were just too loud for the atmosphere. One good point is the friendliness of the staff. Can’t imagine a reason to return.
