Friendly and quiet hole in the strip mall with a delicious glazed donut. The maple bacon donut seems popular, and I definitely want to get my hands in their cookie jars. Not for the coffee snobs, but if you like cappuccinos gas station style — you will be fine.

Stopped by Tuesday after lunch for a sweet treat. Was surprised to see how many dough nuts and cup cakes were left in the case. Normally a bakery at this hour would yield slim pickings. Opted for an apple fritter and a crispy(sp?). The apple fritter had large chunks of apple and was covered in a rich glaze which was very good. Unfortunately I am one of those that likes their apple fritter almost burnt with crispiness. There was little to none of that here. This was more of a chewy apple fritter with a couple of crispy spots. Still good, just not as expected. The crispy was in truth a bit of a let down. It wasn’t crispy and was more soggy. The flavor was on point though with a strong cinnamon flavor mixed with crunchy sugar. Flavor on point, crispiness not so much. Maybe it’s a trend? Oh well, still good enough that I would come back and try something different. Not good enough to make me go again this week… but maybe next?

Donuts: kids loved them. many different varieties including both cake and raised. Full bakery and bread as well although didn’t try other goods. Serve coffee but not much of a coffee shop. Friendly service — worth stopping in to fill your donut cravings.

This is a great old-fashioned style bakery(more of a Konditorei) that specializes in cakes and sweet stuff. We’ve ordered several cakes and cupcakes on two occasions. They were always very professionally decorated and well presented. Our guests loved them, with the lone exception of the yellow cake and chocolate frosted cupcakes. The chocolate ones were moist and yummy, but the yellow ones were stale(almost like the batter was made much earlier and frozen). The best part of his cupcakes and regular cakes is his frosting — you can really tell it’s made from scratch. Do yourself a favor and check him out. It’s only a few dollars more than a Hyvee or Target cake, and your guests /friends will notice. The staff is really fun to deal with, but they are closed on Mondays.

I’m sure I have had worse Danish –but I sure don’t know when. Dry and flavorless. The pies looked soggy and old. First and last stop to this want– a –be bakery.

Made a first visit last Saturday, and the friendly staff and a still-warm caramel nut roll made it a good one. In addition to a few display cases of goodies, Bentley’s had an assortment of coffee and tea options. A couple small tables allow you to eat in if you want. After we devoured the roll, we took half a dozen other items to go. The apple fritter was moist and flavorful and our danishes had healthy amounts of filling. Everyone’s favorite turned out to be the Snickers donuts. It was our first visit, but it won’t be our last!

I have had 4 different items from this bakery. Cherry Pie — Probably the best cherry pie I’ve ever eaten Apple Pie — Excellent with a good spice kick of cinnamon Pumpkin Pie — Probably the worst I’ve ever eaten — it was like eating old pumpkin innards with no sweetness or flavor. 9 people in our house tried it and not one person could eat more than one bite. Ordered 6 cupcakes for son’s B day They were not moist, pretty dry, and not very good at all. It was almost like they were made a day before and sat around. I’m sure they have great cupcakes, but not the ones I got. I will continue to get items from this bakery.

Came here first thing in the morning with my wife and kids. Very friendly owners and amazing baked goods. The peanut butter Danish is a must try! They also have great cinnamon and pecan rolls as well as donuts. Great to have a bakery in this part of town!

I had them make a cake for my boyfrends brthday. He was so nice and easy to work with. However, I had him make a Wisconsin cake…(red and white) he made the W yellow! (not sure if he did that on purpose because hes a Hawkeye fan or not) either way… college school colors are very important and its a very noticeable mistake… He was very apologetic and told me about the mistake before i saw the cake which was nice of him. Over all the cake look amazing, its just a shame that it was the wrong color. It would have the most perfect cake! I would still recommend this bakery but i would just double check before they start making the cake that they have the order correct.
