Their bagels are the best, as long as you can get past the impolite sarcastic attitudes of the girls that work the counter.

What can I say about Bagel Grove. It’s the BEST bagel spot. People in other states wish they had New York bagels. My favorite is their blueberry bagel with honey raisin cream cheese. They also make bagel sandwiches. Outdoor seating in the summer. In house made dough. You’ll never have a better bagel(if you know what good bagels are).

Very good bagels. All fresh made, nothing stale. Workers are very nice. Fair Trade Coffee, not so much. Good sandwiches. Overall, much better than fast food bagels.

Coffee was plentiful with lots of blends and creamers and there were tons of bagel and cream cheese varieties. That’s about all that was good about this place. Breakfast sandwich was disappointing; eggs were unseasoned and the exterior of the toasted bagel was tough — not the typical dense exterior you expect from a bagel though. Additionally, the staff was a bit rude and seemed flustered(saw several wrong orders and was served the wrong order myself). Overall, I was disappointed after reading the other Unilocal reviews and experiencing this place for myself.

It’s my favorite place to grab fresh bagels. Here they offer tons of bagels that are all delicious, also to enhance deliciousness you could get their cream cheeses, they’re so many picks… I recommend this to friends and family. Stop in and try it out

Holy moly, we stopped here on a whim on our way home from a wedding in the Adirondacks. After a rough night of drinking, a sandwich from here really hit the spot. I got a bacon egg and cheese on a pumpkin bagel. The bagel was AMAZING, soft and clearly freshly baked. Hint of sweetness that was perfect with the salty bacon and cheese. The bagels are SLIGHTLY smaller than your standard bakery bagel(I would compare them to the size of Thomas’ bagels you’d buy from a grocery store), however I found the sandwich quite filling and a steal for only $ 2.50

Maybe it was our timing — the place was busy but not hectic — but the service was fine when we we visited this morning. Bagels were very good. I’d go back next time I’m in the neighbourhood.

I came to visit my sister for her graduation at Utica, and she brought me here. this place is adorable with lots of bagel choices. I got myself a egg bagel with bacon, egg, and cheese. It was amazing and fresh, if your a bagel lover definitely check this place out!

Bagel grove is in a great location, right in a major road, so it’s easy pick up a bite to eat on the go. The ordering line moves very fast and the menu is easy to read behind the counter. There is a wide variety of cream cheeses and bagels to choose from when ordering your meal or to buy in bulk. There is a sitting area beyond the ordering area with a pretty painted mural on the back wall. I would definitely suggest this place for a quick bite to eat during lunch.

Food is always delicious, I have no complaints on the quality. However, the employees are always unpleasant and miserable to the point I would rather sacrifice good food just to not go in. They have no manners and mope around as if to let us all know they hate their jobs. With no one waiting on line I have to wait over 10 minutes for one sandwich because they move with no urgency or care. I would be a regular if the staff changed.

Great bagels for years and years now and they jazzed the place up. This is a jewel in the usually pedestrian crown of Oneida County restaurants.

I have been a bagel grove customer for years. The bagels aren’t the problem, it’s the awful customer service. When the original owners were there, it was clean and the staff was pleasant. Over the past few years, I find the staff to be disinterested. This past Sunday I stopped in. There were 4 people behind the counter, none of whom seemed to be in any hurry to do anything, let alone wait on customers. The staff are consistently unhelpful, unpleasant and sometimes plain rude. The case for their cookies was dirty and the whole place seems to have deteriorated. What a shame for a local business who has a wonderful customer base and is the only act in town… maybe that’s the problem.

Bagels are really good. Best for take out — coffee has been terrible for years. Staff needs to learn manners. I’ve bought hundreds of bagels there and not once did anyone say thank you. Not when you pay not when they hand you the bagel and not when you leave. During peak hours people line up 10 – 20 deep all coming in and out the same door. It’s not physically set up properly because they fail to use another set of doors as exit doors. Bagels are good — people are rude., but it’s the only place in town for bagels

Food 3⁄5 Service 4⁄5 Price 5⁄5 I had heard great things about this place and it didn’t disappoint. Came here for a breakfast sandwich and was highly pleased with it. The prices are very reasonable without sacrificing any quality. The perfect place to go for breakfast and there are even lunch sandwich options as well. If you like bagels, you’re sure to be satisfied.

While they closed earlier than advertised, and that pisses me off, I went back when they were open and… the people there are super courteous and the bagels are AWESOME. So, this is me, the guy who never admits he’s wrong, saying I was wrong. BUTIFTHEYCLOSEEARLYAGAIN, SOHELPME!!!

A Utica staple, the Bagel Grove proves that if your product is good enough, nothing else matters. The Bagel Grove is home to delicious, hand crafted artisan bagels baked with apathy and disdain by soulless bakers. And they’re my favorite! Nothing else beats the great variety, crunchy crust and soft, chewy insides of these freshly baked masterpieces. Every other review claiming that these are«small» is written by a big fat fuck. These are, by weight, the same size and density of your standard shitty bagel. You just want to eat two because they’re so good, you big fat fucks. As a testament to exactly how delicious these bagels are, the Bagel Grove is otherwise staffed and operated as what I can only describe as a «clusterfuck of fucking fuck.» From the moment you walk in you are standing in a pile of people, all of whom are equally confused and unsure of exactly what the fuck is happening. There are two very similar looking counters and just like Jennifer Connelly in the Labyrinth you’d better choose carefully. One leads towards the castle and the other brings you back to the beginning. There is no logic or reason to how the service works at the Bagel Grove. It’s total anarchy carefully managed by the kind people of Utica allowing each other to take turns. There are no lines just herds. A voice rings out from behind the counter with all the enthusiasm of someone desperately hoping that today is the day they go out on disability due to a terrible toaster oven incident, «Can I help who’s next?» That’s it. Leave it up to us to figure out who that could possibly be. The crowd murmurs as each individual tries to ascertain who the fuck could possibly be next. «I think you were here first,» one kind Utican says to another. «No, I’m just waiting to pay.» «Ma’am I believe you were before me,» you’ll hear another gentleman say. «No, I’m just waiting to pick up my order.» That’s right. There is a crowd waiting to order, a mob waiting to pay, and a horde waiting to pick up. All at the same counter. Why? Because fuck you our bagels are delicious, that’s why. Once you solve the mystery of «Can I help who’s next?» it’s time to order. I will sometimes order exactly what I want as a goof. The truth is you can literally order anything on the menu, too, because it’s going to be wrong. Not just regular wrong, either. Like hilariously wrong. I once ordered a bagel with cream cheese and got Bugels, with green cheese. It was fucking delicious. That’s the thing. It’s so good here it doesn’t matter. Plus, if you love your children you’ll want to get home to them. Standing in three more lines to correct an order fuck up is not viable. You’ll eat the wrong bagel sandwich and you’ll fucking love it. There is some good news. They’ve recently installed a brand new iPad point of sale system so that the employees have a way to play Candy Crush while fucking up your order. So you’ve ordered a random item menu in hopes that you might actually get the thing you want and now it’s time to pay, right? Wrong. Now it’s time to stand in a massive cluster of people with a handful of money in one hand and a scolding hot cup of coffee in the other. If you’re lucky you’ll have a nice view of a taut Utica College sorority girl in her pajamas for the next 17 minutes. How long does it take to get your food at the Bagel Grove? Imagine you’re standing in the bread line in Russia for 12 hours in the freezing cold and when you finally get to the front of the line they tell you to «go stand over there» for another 6 hours while your bread is being prepared then when you finally get your bread it’s a pack of batteries instead. Here is a short list of things that are quicker than getting your order at Bagel Grove: — A game of Monopoly with the blind and visually impaired. — Completing a transaction at the DMV when you’ve mistakenly filled out the wrong paperwork. — Preparing a complete Thanksgiving Day feast. — The average life expectancy of a dog. — A round trip flight from Sydney Australia to Dallas/Fort Worth. — A baseball game with a temporary rain delay. — Awaiting news of discovery from the Santa Maria. It takes a while to get your food, is what I’m trying to say. While you can drive-thru Dunkin Donuts and get 6 sandwiches, hash browns, and 4 coffees in about 60 seconds if you placed that same order at Bagel Grove you’d be dead before it was ready. At which time one of their ultra-competent employees, rather than call a paramedic, would just set the greasy bag filled with the wrong order on your corpse and the aroma would bring you back to life. The bagels are that good. So get to the Bagel Grove today! You’ll want to kill yourself, but you’re in luck because we have a cure for death and it’s bagels.

I moved out of the area over ten years ago. Every time I come home I hit up the Bagel Grove. I have fond memories of this place and I’m glad quality still remains after all these years.

Being from NYC, I have a well season palette for bagels. I can tell if the joint is just a bunch of bagel imposters, with that being said The Bagel Groove has amazing great bagels! I love there multi grain bagels, and they make some delicious sanwiches.

Cool little local place. Bagels are nowhere near the best I’ve had, but I’m from NYC. They’re tiny. I got the egg and cheese on a whole wheat bagel. Prices are good. Coffee was fresh. Busy when we were there, around 8:30am or so. I love that it’s a local place, and would go back to avoid a chain anyday
