I stayed in room 223 and as soon as I opened the door the musty smell was overwhelming. Within 5 mins I was completely stuffed up. I asked for a room change but they couldn’t move me because the hotel was booked. I then asked for a discount because in no way was this room worth $ 130. She agreed to that. So– checking out in the morning of course that woman isn’t working and there’s no record of my complaint. After waiting 20 mins for the woman who was working to get ahold of someone who could authorize the discount — she credits me $ 15! Needless to say that’s not acceptable. Also while I was standing there another guest complained her room — 348– had no heat. She wasn’t even given an apology. Save 50% and stay at the Red Roof Inn down the road. It’s much much cleaner.

No stars! The manager was extremely rude and unaccommodating. There are numerous hotels in the area. Nothing good to say about my stay. Do your homework and stay else ware.

I don’t usually write hotel reviews, but this hotel had what I consider some firsts for me: tiniest toilet and bathroom, worst shampoo, and hardest bed. Best Westerns were better than this, I thought.

This is a decent and inexpensive option for bikers on a road trip. My friend and I stayed at this location 2x and had a pleasant experience. The rooms are clean and comfy. It’s a lower to mid range hotel, just like a typical Holiday Inn… so those folks that expect high end appeal of a Hilton are going to be disappointed.(That was not an issue for us!) Lots of restaurants within walking distance, too. If I come back this way… I’ll stay here again and will recommend it to others.

I am here and there are mini toads all over the hallway. I wish I could include a video. I am nervous to sleep for fear of toads jumping on my face. And the sheets seem very worn.

We got in around 11pm, and it took us about 15 minutes to find our room because the way the rooms are laid out is weird. Our room was cold. The sink had something in it, I couldn’t tell if it was food or someone’s booger. The beds are really firm, and there are no extra blankets anywhere in the room. It was probably the coldest, most comfortable night I have ever stayed in a hotel, and I will never be stopping in Utica overnight again.

Stayed here for a conference. It is what it is, a place to rest your head for a cheap price. It had nice clean beds, a nice bathroom, TV, and a desk, nothing more or less. The«gym» was nothing to write home about but the treadmill worked and it was air conditioned with a TV. I never ate the breakfast but the staff was more then happy to accommodate me with coffee and a space to work whenever I needed it. The business center was easy to use and I was able to print for free. The wifi worked flawlessly as well. What more does a traveling professional need?

This place felt über sketchy. The place is supposed to be smoke free, but when we pulled up, the front desk worker was smoking riiiight outside the front door. We were in the secondary building. There was a note on the front door that it wouldn’t work, so we should use the backdoor. Okay. So, we walk around to the back of the building, toting our infant in his car seat. The inside looked vaguely like a prison. Our room smelled kind of funny, but it was serviceable. My husband went back out to the car for something and found out the supposedly broken door worked just fine. Awesome. Breakfast was underwhelming to say the least. I know it’s a Best Western, which sets itself up for disappointment, but it could’ve been way better.

What was good: clean, king-sized bed was comfy. The room was large and had a fridge, although it didn’t have a microwave. The TV worked, it kept the kids happy! The shower was clean although the tile in the room was old. What was disappointing: we didn’t get side by side rooms, even though the rooms on that floor had the adjoining doors. We were in the back building and the front door’s security lock was broken, so it was open at all times. The complimentary breakfast was a dud. You had to microwave the frozen sausage patties, and other than hard-boiled eggs, everything else was carbohydrate-laden garbage. They didn’t have whole milk on the breakfast bar, either, just 1% &2%. I think they overcharge during the high season. There’s a McDonald’s, a Wendy’s, a Denny’s and Delmonico’s all in walking distance. We walked over to the McDonalds just to see the antique car & the juke box. No pool, the fitness center consisted of 1 treadmill and a couple of hand weights. The computer business center consisted of 1 virus-laden computer. It was pretty funny. They need to invest in deep freeze.

Not bad. The place was clean enough, and the shower worked, so how much more can you ask for? Staff was friendly even though my extended family was there with about a dozen rug rats. A few notes: The complementary breakfast is pretty weak. Eggo waffles and frozen eggs and sausage patties that can be heated up. But the location is great, very close to restaurants. We walked over to Delmonico’s, and while I am not as big of a fan as others, you could do much worse. Oh: they do have free wifi, but no fridges in the rooms.
